Victor shows up at Ashland’s suite and tells him he will not take Victoria away. Locke insists he is not taking her away; she is leaving of her own volition. She is aware of his mistakes and loves him. That’s what love is.

Victor thinks he’s a human parasite and she will become aware of that. He knows all about Locke’s past crimes and regrets ever letting his wife call an ambulance for him.

When Locke goes on about the meaning of love, Victor laughs and says he doesn’t know the meaning of the word. Ashland admits he was ready to go but Victoria came to him and told him she loved him.

That was Victor’s fault. He blew it by trying to control her life. That’s what drove her back into his arms. “You have no one to blame but yourself,” Locke tells him. Newman says he’s a helluva talker but this isn’t over and walks out.

In Billy’s office, Victoria insists she is leaving for her own sake. He doesn’t think that makes sense given she’s at the peak of her professional career. She concedes that Ashland has been integral to her decision.

Billy urges her not to let Locke run her out of town. She insists that’s not it. She’s forgiven him because he’s proved how remorseful he is. He doesn’t understand. She points out she got lots of practice forgiving people with him.

Billy thinks Locke ran out of chances for redemption. It bothers him that Ashland has such a hold on her. What is she going to say to the kids? She says she’s never leaving the kids behind.

He won’t sign off on her moving their kids to god knows where with a monster. She points out the kids are at boarding school. Divorced people relocate all the time and she won’t do anything to put their kids in danger.

Billy doesn’t think she is thinking rationally and reminds her that there is a restraining order keeping Locke from Harrison. He won’t just sign off on her taking away their kids.

“I will fight you on this,” he declares. She exits.

Billy sits and thinks until Lily interrupts. He fills her in on what just happened. “I don’t understand any of it,” he says. Lily thought he was going to step back and let her do whatever.

Billy says this is different because it affects his kids. “Honestly, enough is enough,” she tells him. He assumes this means she supports his rage.

She tells him he knows that his kids are not under threat. He’s going too far and this is not about his kids but his inability to let go of Victoria. This has always bothered her and she is fed up with it. “I’m not putting up with it any longer,” she warns.

They talk about their son’s schedule and his soccer moves. She thinks his new soccer coach reminds him of Rey. Adam wonders if she’s alright. Sitting, he claims he doesn’t think she’s going off the deep end, but knows the signs when she’s troubled.

Adam is sure it must be a hard reckoning to see the heir apparent betray him like this. He doesn’t know how they can reach her. Victor is coming around to his way of thinking.

What if she gets remarried to Locke, fails, and then comes back? She may be entering into an irreparable mistake. Adam isn’t sure she will fail. She could surprise them all and flourish.

Jack wanders into Society and almost leaves when he spots Diane. She waves to him and asks him to join her. He awkwardly sits and looks over the menu. They recall GloWorm and its fish dishes.

Jack is filled with joy watching his son raise Harrison. When she recalls their times by the pool, Phyllis comes up. He decides this conversation was a mistake and gets up to leave.

She admits that reminiscing about their past is a problem. She’s sorry for who she was and what she did, for taking Kyle away, and for abandoning him.

She was petty, unkind, and selfish. He deserved better than that and she has so many regrets and needs to make amends, above all to him.

Since Diane is weeping, he sits back down. She complains about how alone she feels. It was impossible for her to get close to anyone in LA because she kept her past a secret. Now, she has to earn conversation time.
