Christine (Chrissi) Fix
Christine (Chrissi) Fix is the owner, admin, writer, and publisher. Christine has worked in the soap opera industry for 16 years as the Editor-in-Chief of two other soap opera websites, while she also made time for writing, reporting, and at one point, covering 9 soap operas. She’s sweltered in the heat on the Daytime Emmys red carpet several times with the stars of daytime TV and has cruised down to the Florida Keys and Mexico with the cast of a few of the soaps.
She’s been watching Days of our Lives since Marlena’s second possession in 1994. The first scene she sat down to watch was Marlena hovering a few feet above her bed. A lover of the supernatural, she was drawn to the show, and immediately fell in love with the characters and the fictional town of Salem.
Christine was a Syndicated Columnist with the Toronto Sun from 2009 to 2013, breaking the spoilers for all soaps, and she was a Weekly Talk Show Radio guest with ProudFM from 2007 to 2010, dishing on all the soaps. She hails from Toronto, Ontario Canada, and has a background in Psychology. She adores all things Halloween and is currently dividing her time between Soaps Spoilers, writing and editing her first paranormal romance/women’s fiction series, which is now up to five books.
David Fix is the Technical Architect of SoapsSpoilers.com, and brings years of experience in systems administration, programming, and scalable web architecture to the table.
Minx Montana was raised on a lavender farm. After training as a beautician, she worked for a traveling carnival in the southwest. It was during those years that she fell in love with Santa Barbara. Once she relocated to the rainy north and shifted careers to courtroom stenography, she found the time to unwind every day by watching recordings of Passions and General Hospital and reading Judith Gould. In addition to years of writing short stories inspired by soaps, Minx likes to put together burlesque routines in homage to some of her favorite characters. When the weather is right, she likes to spend the afternoon at the dog races.

Steve use to watch Y&R back in the early 90s at work because his boss watched it at that time every day. Fast forward 30 years and he is our social media management assistant who takes care of posting the spoilers, recaps, and comings and goings to our Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook pages. He was the mastermind behind our Instagram and Facebook stories until recently when we had him switch over to Daily Teasers while the shows are airing. Troubleshooting how things are laid out on social media and resolving the issues we might encounter is one reason we keep him around. In short, he is a wizard.
Matthew Farris was just a kid when introduced to the ABC soaps line-up by an astute babysitter. After graduating from college, Matt spent two decades in New York City, working in graphic design and fashion advertising but always wanting to be a soap opera writer. Now living the suburban life in Florida, Matt’s hobbies are thrift store shopping, cocktails in the pool and tweeting about soaps.
Shannon Burrell is the newest addition to our team. He lives in South Carolina and is a schoolteacher. He already has an established working relationship with Chrissi, as he was the first hire she made while operating another website in the early 2000s. Shannon has tons of knowledge about all soaps, past and present. He grew up watching the NBC Daytime lineup, mainly focused on Days.
The first storyline he can recall is the original Salem Strangler and the brutal killing of Renée Dumonde. In July of 1984, the premiere of Santa Barbara captured his heart and soul, keeping it even after it left the airwaves in January 1993, something he is still extremely bitter about today.
Shannon has worked the Daytime Emmy Awards, red carpet events, before/after parties, and attended the Creative Arts Awards Ceremony, where he and Chrissi even managed to hold someone’s Emmy Award and have individual photos taken with it, if you can imagine that. He has interviewed countless soap stars in person and via the phone.
Shannon is a total soap enthusiast, rivaled only by his love for good music of any genre. He is also an animal lover and currently has two cats and one dog, who believe they actually run the house. Though he begs to differ, they may be correct in that thinking.
