Summer and Kyle fans can breathe a sigh of relief.
Allison Lanier has joined Y&R as Summer Newman. Hunter King, along with co-star Michael Mealor (Kyle Abbott) left Young and the Restless in 2021 and returned in video chat scenes from Milan, Italy, with Mealor’s latest return at the time of this article in scenes with Jack (Peter Bergman) on Tuesday, March 15.

More recently, Jack and Traci (Beth Maitland) talked about Kyle and Harrison returning to Genoa City together, a move which will happen on April 25. SoapsSpoilers has yet to receive confirmation on Kellen Enriquez’s return.
A casting notice went out a few months ago for Summer and since Hunter King decided not to return, Allison Lanier was cast in the role. Some will remember her from Fish Bones, It Happened in L.A., Red Oaks, and Mia.
SoapsSpoilers has learned exclusively that the first airdate for Lanier will be the week of May 16.
