In the previous episode, Jack’s bid to buy off Stark failed, Tucker asked Ashley to leave the past behind and Lily refused to discuss family business with Nate.

Adam arrives at Crimson Lights. He’s in a mood. She gets him his usual and he thanks her for her advice on Chelsea.
They came together for Connor’s sake. Sharon thinks it’s positive but Adam says he went too fast, overwhelmed her and she shut down too fast.
Sharon shrugs. There are no shortcuts. Adam’s not sure what mood she’ll be in when he sees her.
He goes and Sharon jumps on a call with Faith about her classes.
Upstairs in her apartment, Chelsea makes the biggest stack of pancakes for her and Connor.
Today will be a good day.
Later, they eat and Connor says the guidance counselor told the bully at school to be nice and it’s working.
Connor likes seeing this mom happy.
Adam arrives and is glad to hear Mom is doing well. Adam, Connor and Chelsea appear.
They call Sharon a good family friend and she thinks he’s buttering her up for a treat.
Adam drops the kid off at school and Chelsea reveals to Sharon that she’s ready to make amends to people.
She says her therapist thinks she should do this like the process from AA.
Chelsea realizes she has a level of self-hatred she’s been ignoring. She needs to address it. Sharon calls it brave.
She talks about being a con, outrunning her shame and how it festered.
She considered Sharon blessed and blamed her for everything instead of seeing her as a person. “I saw you as a threat.”
Sharon admits she had her own part in what happened between them. Chelsea tears up.
She apologizes. Sharon accepts. Chelsea wishes Rey was her to apologize to.
Sharon likes to think he can hear her and doesn’t need an apology. He forgave her.
Adam returns. Chelsea invites him upstairs. He’s worried since she’s emotional.
She’s taking accountability and wants to make amends to him.
He reminds her of the hell he put her through. She apologizes for all past transgressions.
He says she wasn’t in her right mind. He thanks her. She has more to make amends to.
Victoria and Johnny with Billy and her permission. Adam assumes Billy’s on the list. She says yes, it’ll be difficult.
Billy finds Lily at Society and smiles. “Good morning beautiful.” She doesn’t smile back. She’s sullen and he learns she had a meeting.
She asks where he’s been all night. He says he ran into Adam at Glam Club.
They got into it. Billy says they both resent his time spent with Chelsea.
She says they’ve been through this already. She has nothing more to say. She asks if Chelsea is blaming her but she’s not.
She’s pushing him away. Billy asks why she’s so troubled. She laughs. She’s not.
Clearly, he is. He asks if she’s threatened by his closeness to her. She isn’t and is concerned about his addiction and his spiral.
“I can’t do this anymore,” she says. She has a lot of other worries.
She wants him to find peace but he’s asking her a lot and she can’t handle it anymore. He gets a text.
She says, “Yep. Billy again to the rescue.” Billy says she wants to meet. Lily tells him to go see what she wants.
The way he always does when she reaches out. He takes off.
Daniel and Summer tour Jabot. He asks about the guard outside her door.
She fills him in on the corporate espionage and asks about his mystery project.
He can’t discuss it yet but it’ll reinvent him. She’s happy for him.
She tells him Kyle’s on a business trip and Harariosn’s with the nanny.
He applauds her slipping into motherhood easily. They talk about Lucy being a wild teenager. Lauren appears.
She hugs Daniel and they talk about how well Danny’s doing and that he’s trying to get him back to Genoa City.
Daniel takes off. Lauren’s concerned about Phyllis and hopes he’s a welcomed distraction for her.

Jack appears and Summer lets Lauren know that Diane no longer works at Jabot.
Jack lies that she was called out of town on a personal emergency.
They hope it makes things more peaceful. Jack and Summer go into his office and now they need to find a way to drive Stark out of town.
They need to keep it all quiet he says. Even from Daniel.
At the Abbott’s place, Ash tells Phyllis and Nikki that Harrison and the nanny are upstairs. Diane’s not here so they can talk openly.
Nikki’s not sure there’s more that can be done about Diane.
She wants out but Red thinks they have more up their sleeves. Ashley says Diane’s officially gone so there’s no point.
Phyllis is skeptical. Nikki’s thrilled. Ash says she’s alienated her brother who is angry with her. Phyllis has been there.
Nikki thinks Jack will see that they’re doing the right thing and one day may thank them.
Phyllis goes and Nikki later thanks Ash for letting her see Harrison. Ash says he’s asking where DiDi is. Nikki thinks he’s better off without her.
Phyllis arrives at Jabot. She asks what they’re working on. They’re snippy.
She asks if Diane’s coming in late. Jack says to save the act.
She admits she doesn’t care that she’s not there. “Diane left town,” Jack says.
“Good,” Phyllis tells him.
It had nothing to do with her. Jack says a tipster that sounded like her called Stark.
He takes off in a huff. Phyllis calls this Diane’s choice.
Summer yells that she brought the criminal to their doorstep.
They argue and Summer can’t defend her mother’s actions. She goes. Stark shows up. Phyllis startles. How did he get past security?
He says he can be very persuasive. He asks where Diane is. Phyllis has no idea.
They’re not friends. He asks if she’s the one who called him to alert him to where she was.
He invites her to go somewhere to speak privately. She looks frightened.
Jack arrives home and finds Nikki with Ashley.
He can see he interrupted their celebration since Diane’s left.
He lays a guilt trip on them.
Daniel finds Lily alone at Society. He offers to buy her coffee or tequila after seeing her expression.
She can’t talk now but asks for a raincheck.
He reminds her she can tell him anything.
Billy arrives at Chelsea’s and she explains her apology tour.
She’s not sure how she’ll find the words.
