In this episode of CBS’ The Young and the Restless, Ashley and Jack bicker about Diane, Devon and Lily argue about the IPO, and Sally thanks Adam for his concern. In the previous episode, Summer unloaded on Daniel,Devon and Abby had sex, and Tucker offered an ear when he found Phyllis devastated.

At Crimson Lights, Sally tries calling for a doctor’s appointment. Adam interrupts and asks if everything is okay.
He assures her he didn’t overhear her call. He notes that she looks tired.
She’s defensive and assumes he wants to know who is keeping her up at night.
Adam doesn’t want to know. He knows they are over and their days are just something he will remember fondly.
Spectra claims she’s just anxious about her new business. He assures her it will be a success.
Sally assumes he’s after something. He’s not and offers to leave.
She apologizes. Sometimes she forgets he can be nice. She just has too much on her plate.
Once he sits down, she admits she’s not sure about anything. Everything seems so difficult and she wishes her problems were cut and dried.
He doesn’t know what she’s talking about and says she deserves a break. He’s sure she can handle anything.
“Why are you being so nice to me?” she asks.
“I think you know,” he answers.
She needs an explanation so he says she will always be special to him. If she ever needs a sympathetic ear, she just has to call him.
She’ll think about that. After thanking him, she leaves for her appointment.
Sally heads back to her suite after getting confirmation she’s pregnant. Flopping in her bed, she wonders what to do now.
At Devon’s penthouse, he hands Abby coffee as she comes down the stairs. They talk about the child being off at the gym.
She admits she felt a little guilt coming down the stairs after last night. Her divorce is still fresh.
He says they weren’t betraying anyone this time.
Listening to him makes her believe she’s in the right place.
She kisses him and says she feels happier and lighter than she has in a long time.
He feels the same.
She needs to go home and change for work. It no longer feels like home since she’s no longer a Chancellor.
He urges her to take things slow.
Daniel sits at Glam Club alone, unhappy about the text he gets from Heather.
Abby wanders in. She heard he was back in town and offers to catch up.
He gets her to sit and they chat about his new job. He’s looking forward to jumping into the deep end.
When she asks when Heather and Lucy are coming, he can’t answer.
She offers to introduce him to Dom if he wants to meet the happiest baby in the world. Abby tells him she and Chance split up. It was inevitable and she’s moving forward.
“Speaking of moving forward, I have to meet with Lily,” he says, walking off.
After sending an annoyed text to Noah for standing her up, she takes off her wedding ring.
In Lily’s office, she tells Audra that Jill pulled the trigger and they are moving ahead with the IPO. Audra is sure this will be a huge success in ways they can’t imagine.
Devon arrives and notices they are excited.
Lily announces the IPO is happening. That’s news to him.
Audra’s phone goes off and she exits.
Devon starts complaining. Lily says he wasn’t excluded from the discussion. She doesn’t understand why he wants to limit the growth of the company.
He says the company is doing fine and money isn’t the most important thing.
Lily is siding with Jill and they have the majority. If he has a legitimate reason to stop this, they will listen. All he has is vague concerns.
She hopes he has his support but will walk this path alone if she has to.
He promises to find a legitimate reason to stop this move and walks out.
Lily meets with Daniel at Crimson Lights. She notices that he threw a smile on and wonders what’s wrong.
He tries to play it off but she pushes. He’s afraid of being judged.
Daniel explains he made some mistakes in Savannah. He didn’t respect his wife enough.
There was a lot of jealousy and insecurity and he pushed her and their daughter away.
Now that his career is back on solid ground, he hopes this will show the two women in his life he’s not a lost cause.
She reminds him he can work remotely. He wants to focus so he doesn’t do a half-assed job at work and home.
Lily offers to be there if he needs anything.
When he notices she seems nervous, she admits she’s anxious about something. After telling him he’s not a lost cause, she gets a text from Billy saying he’s waiting at the therapist’s.

At Jabot, Summer corners her husband and Diane. They chat about Mariah and Tessa’s adoption plans and Summer walks off.
Stark calls Diane and they make arrangements to meet.
She assures Kyle that this is all part of her plan. She asks him not to tell Jack because she doesn’t want him following her like last time.
He doesn’t like her meeting with Stark alone.
Summer eavesdrops as Diane insists she has this under control.
Once Diane wanders off, Summer returns and Kyle asks her why she’s been so frosty with his mom.
She admits she’s scared. She needs a break from Genoa City so she wants to go to a textile show in Paris with Harrison.
At the Abbott estate, Jack is about to head upstairs when Ashley corners him and insists that they discuss him kissing Diane.
He doesn’t understand her vendetta and she doesn’t understand him ignoring Diane’s history.
She can understand him letting his son reunite with his mother but…
He insists she is part of the family and Diane has changed.
Ashley can’t accept that. She thinks the “viper” deserves permanent exile from the family home.
Jack thinks that’s ironic given she was kissing Tucker outside.
His sister lists her many issues with Diane. She can’t understand why he’s buying a helpless routine from someone who has never been remotely helpless.
Jack is adamant that Stark is dangerous and that he needs to protect his family.
Ashley isn’t impressed and assumes Diane is exploiting the situation to weasel her way into their home.
Jack tells her if she’s that indignant about who he lets into his home, she should stay elsewhere.
She refuses to give an inch to Diane and won’t be forced out of the family home because of his fixation on Diane.
She declares that Diane will never be welcome in the house or in the company.
Annoyed Audra meets with Tucker in his suite. He needs an update on this insanely slow IPO plot.
Snapping, he tells her how determined he is to work with his son. She tells him to think about another way to do that.
She needs to get back to the meeting he called her away from before it looks suspicious.
Devon goes to Society to see Abby. She’s not there but Tucker is.
He notes his son seems to be stressed. Devon complains the IPO has him worried. He lost autonomy in the merger and now worries he could lose more.
Tucker says if it’s such a concern, maybe he should take the company back and run it on his own. He knows someone who could help him.
Devon doesn’t want his father to get involved in his business.
Tucker claims he just wants to help. Devon doesn’t want advice on this.
His father says if he wants autonomy, he should realize it’s okay to go after what he wants and he might be the person to help.
Devon thanks him for the insight. As he gets up to go, Tucker’s phone chimes. His son notes how unique it is.
Tucker claims it came with the phone.
When Devon steps out, he calls someone to dig into any connection between Tucker and Audra.
