In the Wednesday, February 16, 2022, full episode recap of CBS’ Bold and the Beautiful, Steffy and Thomas badger their father to leave Brooke in the past while Brooke tells Hope and Liam she may have lost her soulmate.
We also have Tuesday’s B&B recap where Ridge walked out on Brooke, leaving her sobbing.
At Brooke’s, Hope tells Liam that Steffy is rooting for her mother’s marriage to end. She’s worried because she keeps trying to get in touch with her mom but is having no luck. Liam reminds her that she and Ridge have overcome many challenges before. Brooke solemnly walks through the door.
Brooke explains she spoke with Ridge and told him the truth. This was too late since Taylor beat her to it. Her daughter asks if Ridge listened. Brooke isn’t sure his listening will make much of a difference.
Looking at a photo of herself and Ridge, she thinks about her fight with him in the closet when he told her he was too tired to do this anymore. She’s heartbroken for letting him down. Hope reminds her she didn’t mean to. Liam is sure her husband knows what’s in her heart.
Brooke says that Ridge was very protective and insisted Deacon spiked her drink. That’s not what happened and she told him so. She still doesn’t understand what gave her the urge to drink in the first place. Liam is confident Ridge understands she wasn’t being herself because of alcohol.
Brooke thought that too. Hearing her mom speak in the past tense panics Hope. Her mom explains that Ridge was sure she’d been victimized and then took off. Then Taylor came by to gloat, suggesting she drank to give herself permission to cheat with Deacon. Worrying about Ridge, she ran to Il Giardino where he was pummeling Deacon. Her husband couldn’t believe it when she broke up the fight.
At that moment everything shifted. Ridge admitted he believed her when she claimed something like this would never happen again but it did. He may have said he loves her, but he also said he can’t take it anymore. “I may have lost my soulmate,” she says.
Liam suggests that Ridge will cool off and Hope tells him not to give up. Brooke isn’t giving up. It can’t be over. They are sure he went to see his other family and they will pile on. She needs to speak with him immediately.

At the Cliffhouse, Thomas and Steffy can’t see how Ridge could spend any more of his life with Brooke. She can’t believe how Hope is still giving her mom a pass on this. Taylor arrives and her kids instantly demand to know if it’s over with Ridge and Brooke.
Taylor says, according to Brooke, they will get past it. What’s more, Ridge apparently confessed his undying love to her. Steffy refuses to accept this. It doesn’t make sense to Thomas. They are eager to hear what Ridge has to say. He stumbles in, looking battered. Ridge explains Deacon got what was coming to him.
“Did Brooke?” Steffy asks, demanding to know why he’s still claiming to love his wife. Taylor hands him an ice pack but he doesn’t want any fuss. Steffy gets back to putting all the blame on Brooke. His kids badger him not to let her get away with this. Thomas says he should treat this as the final straw.
The kids repeat that they have seen all of this repeatedly and they don’t want to go through it again. Steffy describes everything that happened again and Taylor asks her to give him time to think about this. Ridge admits that Brooke defended Deacon. He stares.
Ridge says things are different this time. After what happened with Bill, it’s all too much. Steffy knows it’s hard to walk away from a marriage and asks if that’s what he did. “I had to,” he says. Taylor’s eyes dart around. Steffy tells him he’s better off without all that toxicity and hugs him. He looks over at Taylor.
His children continue to go on about how much Brooke loves to conquer men and share her bed. Steffy lays into him about her bringing Deacon back into his life. Thomas can see Brooke is calling his phone so he covers it with a napkin.
“This is your family. Let us be the family you need. Please come home to use,” Steffy tells her father, hugging him again. He keeps staring at Taylor.
