In this episode of CBS’ The Young and the Restless, Chelsea and Chloe are happily surprised, Phyllis returns with news, and Chance stays stoic while Rey blasts him for not talking to his wife. In the previous episode, Victoria wants to stab Adam in the back and Victor is initially not happy Sally’s the new COO.

Chelsea meets Chloe in the lobby of Grand Phoenix. Chloe’s feeling confident but Chelsea’s nervous about their meeting with Lauren. She has butterflies.
At Society, Jack shows Lauren photos of Harrison on skiis, and a few more photos of his time in Milan. They’re sure Phyllis is having a great time. Lauren asks if she’s made a decision yet. He hasn’t heard. She’s sure he’s invested in the outcome and asks if he wants her to stay here.
Jack says his feelings for Phyllis are complicated and deep. Lauren asks what he’d say if she walked in the door. She looks over and sees Phyllis. They smile brightly at each other. She heads to the bar and chats them up. Chelsea and Chloe turn up for their meeting with Lauren.
They explain to Jack what happened to their jobs and that they want to focus on design. Phyllis is happy Sally’s not in the picture. She hears Chelsea is staying at her hotel. She’s glad she got rid of Sally and Adam.
“All that toxicity in your life. Good for you.” They all separate and Phyllis and Jack catch up. Phyllis says she’s not sure she wants to learn everything about the fashion industry. She says Genoa City has made her who she is. She says she’s staying. He thinks the town would be boring without her.
At the next table, the women have their meeting. Lauren seems interested. They want to call themselves, Bella Milkano. It’s an amalgamation of their kids names. Lauren hires them and the women are thrilled. Chelsea’s glad because it’s a fresh start for her.
Lauren says if she didn’t think Chelsea had changed, they wouldn’t be having the conversation. They leave and Lauren smiles when she sees Jack and Phyllis laughing about how cute Harrison is. He gets a random text from an LA area code. It’s an address in Los Angeles. He calls it a wrong number and ignores it and tells them they have the wrong number. The person says it’s for Jack Abbott who needs to go to LA. “Something you’ve been missing.”

Rey meets Abby at Crimson Lights. She tells him Devon’s the bone marrow donor. Rey’s happy. They hope he will make a quick recovery. She wanted to talk about Chance. She overheard him admit he was sorry for what happened at the stakeout.
She asks what happened. He’s not sure he can talk about it. It feels like a breach of confidence between partners. Abby gets it but tries to get him to tell her anything. He tells her that it’s too soon for him to be at work.
She says her nerves are shredded and it’s why she thinks her husband won’t share. He doesn’t want to be a burden. She asks him to talk to Chance and dries some tears.
Chance finds himself at the alley where the stakeout happened. He flashes back to what sounded like a gunshot and glass breaking. He flashes to Rey saying that they caught the perp and he’s already being brought in by the team.
Chance apologized to Rey for feeling stuck there and not being there for his partner or the team. Rey says they caught the guy. “No harm, no foul.” Chance berated himself for choking. Again. He didn’t think he could get over what happened in Spain.
Chance arrives home to see Rey and Abby. The baby is asleep, she says and Devon has an appointment to donate his bone marrow. She asks where he was and if he’s okay. He’s fine.
He asks why Rey’s there and Abby twists her hands. She explains she went to him to ask about the stakeout. Rey didn’t tell her much since it wasn’t up to him. Abby begs him to talk to Rey.
She kisses him and goes to check on the kid. Chance doesn’t want to talk but Rey tells his friend that his wife knows there’s an issue but he won’t open up. Chance doesn’t want to add this to her plate.
Rey explains that they’re married. “It’s one big plate.” Rey thinks she’ll leave him if he doesn’t start talking. Chance is overcome and tells Rey not to say that.
Rey thinks this will continue impacting his health and life unless he talks about it. She needs him, not some hollowed out shell of who he used to be. Chance asks if that’s who Rey thinks he is. Rey says that’s how he’s acting. He needs to start getting it all out.
Abby returns and Rey takes off, leaving Chance in tears. Chance explains he was trying to keep this from her. She worries, she says, when he stops talking to her. She begs him to lean on her.
He dries tears and says it isn’t easy. Abby raises her voice that they need to lean on each other. He needs to let her in! He tells her what happened, that he choked when he heard a terrible crashing noise. Abby urges him to find a way to cope. Now.
Rey mopes at Crimson Lights. Chelsea and Chloe arrive and Chelsea wants to get to work. Chloe goes to get tea while Chelsea gets a table. She sees Rey and flashes back to her dream about kissing him.
Rey approaches and startles her. She shares the business meeting and says they’re in business with Lauren, now. Chloe appears and he congratulates them. He’s happy for them. He thinks Chelsea should be proud of herself. She beams.
Chloe has to go home since Kevin can’t handle the two kids and Esther is out. They trash how men can’t multitask and once she’s gone, Chelsea invites Rey to sit and talk. Chloe watches from the door, with interest.
