General Hospital recap for Monday, August 16, 2022. In today’s GH episode, Oz saves the day and Trina gets her case tossed out, while Victor flies off the handle when he hears what happened to Esme, and Willow learns she has Leukemia.
We also have Monday’s GH recap where Liz caught Finn going behind her back, and Cam wondered what Dex was up to, as Nikolas reveals to Victor that Esme’s dead.
At General Hospital, Portia’s thrilled when Jordan tells her that Oz will talk. He’s being prepped to go to the courthouse.
At the courthouse, the judge is ready to read the verdict when DA Robert Scorpio wanders in and stops Judge Oliver. He tells them a new witness has come forward and is on the way.
Assistant DA says the time for new evidence has passed but Dianae points out that the foreman hasn’t given the judge the verdict, which means new evidence can be submitted.
Everyone watching gasps and watches things unfold.
Robert, the ADA and Diane approach the bench, trying to convince the judge to hear Oz. The judge allows the testimony. Trina questions Diane, who assures her he’s on his way.
Oz shows up and Diane calls him to the stand. He tells Diane he confronted Esme about this trial and the tape and he thinks she drugged him.
Diane says the revenge porn video was recorded on a black market phone. He admits he sold it to Miss Prince. He is shown a photo and confirms it’s her.
She bought it in January.
When asked, he says he didn’t sell Trina Robinson one. Everyone cheers.
The state of New York drops all charges. Dex smiles and everyone around cheers and hugs.
Spencer bounces up and down, happily while nobody notices Dex pockets something from the stand. Everyone files out and Diane calls Robert a credit to his community.
He jokes that it’s painful receiving two compliments in one day. “Don’t get used to it,” she says, wandering off. Trina tells her parents she’s relieved and exhausted.
Jordan and Taggert talk about Esme. She needs to come out so they can press charges. When Ava overhears the discussion about Jordan going out to Windemere, she looks nervous.
Meanwhile, Joss tells Trina it’s time to study abroad. Rory congratulates Trina and then Spencer goes to her.

At home, Nik tells Victor that Esme’s dead. He knows because “I killed her.” Victor’s pissed. He demands to know what happened so he can ensure they come out unscathed.
Nikolas explains how things went down, but he says he pushed her off the parapet. Victor asks what he did with the body. Nikolas says there wasn’t one.
Victor points out that they don’t know she’s dead. Nik hopes she’s dead.
Victor thinks this story doesn’t add up. Who is he protecting? Victor pressures him and then he admits that Ava knows about him and Esme and it’s why Ava moved out.
Ava was fighting with Esme and all he saw was Esme going over the parapet. Ava’s DNA could be on Esme. Victor’s shocked she still left him anyway.
If it gets out that he slept with Esme, it’ll look bad. Nikolas plans to get Ava back. Victor likes her but she’s now a threat. All threats have to be eliminated. Nikolas balks at that.
Vic argues that she could turn up. Nik thinks she’d rather hold this over their heads. Nikolas says she’ll wash up on shore and evidence will point toward Ava. He has to turn Ava in or he will.
They talk about how he needs to get rid of all of Esme’s things. Victor blows a gasket when he hears Nik has her shoe.
Sonny meets Nina at Metro Court. His plans changed and he asks her to have dinner right now. She’s sure she can get them a table. Olivia pokes her head in.
“No. Oh hell no,” she says, hand on a hip. Nina reminds her she can’t turn her away. She’s a co-owner. Olivia says they’re fully booked.
Nina thinks they can work things out. Olivia snipes at her and Sonny says they’ll eat at the bar or leave.
Olivia goes and neither Nina nor Sonny is scared off. They have dinner sent over and Sonny calls it a hell of a first date. Nina laughs that it’s their first date. They’ve had two different versions of their relationship.
They agree they make it interesting. He gets a call from Brick and has to go. “We’re doing this right? You and me?”
She says that’s the plan. He explains there are some things she needs to know about his business. He reveals he’ll have to cut short some dates and he won’t be able to respond to her questions.
She’s fine with all that. It goes both ways, she says. “Don’t you dare ask me whose on Crimson’s cover in September.”
He busts up laughing and wouldn’t dream of it. They kiss. He’ll call her later.
Poolside, Michael and Carly have closed the pool for a private event. Drew arrives and Carly and Wiley chat about his decorating.
Drew and Carly flirt and Wiley puts some ribbon around Drew’s neck. “Crepe paper chic is the new rage these days,” Carly tells him.
They go off to get supplies and Michael tells Wiley how they’ll yell, “Surprise,” when Mommy comes to her party.
Carly and Drew are happy that Michael has the family he deserves. Olivia rushes to tattle on Nina to Carly. Carly’s not bothered by it.
She knows that they’re together and he can do what he wants.
She has everything she needs there, she tells Olivia, looking at her son, grandson and Olvia points out how handsome Drew is. Carly says they’re good friends. It’d be complicated.
Willow arrives at Terry’s office at GH to meet Terry and Britt. Willow is nervous when Terry says they have a lot to discuss.
They congratulate her on her graduation and know she’ll be a terrific nurse. They also have the results of her biopsy.
Willow stares when she’s told she has leukemia. She hears them in triplicate but doesn’t exactly hear them. Britt knows it’s a lot to take in.
Willow can’t wrap her brain around it. Terry says they’ll be with her every step of the way.
Willow knows it’s difficult to treat. How will it affect her baby? It’s complicated by the pregnancy and in some cases, they wait until she’s further along to treat.
In general, chemo is detrimental to the fetus.
She can get another opinion but early treatment is favorable. Britt offers to clear her morning for her to discuss it at length. Willow is grateful. She takes off.
Willow walks in on Michael still preparing for her graduation party. She tears up.
Nina picks up something for Carly when she drops it back at Metro Court.
Sonny meets Dex outside. He has news. So does Sonny about Dex and it’s not good.
Victor has to hide Esme’s suitcase outside on the parapet when Jordan turns up with a search warrant.
