In the Tuesday, August 16, 2022, full episode recap of CBS’ Bold and the Beautiful, Li and Bill discuss the end of their marriages, Steffy encourages her mom to get Ridge back immediately, and Thomas gets his family’s support.
We also have Monday’s B&B recap where Thomas’ family encouraged him to fight for Douglas and Bill learned Li is single.
At Forrester Creations, Thomas and his family discuss the situation with Douglas. Steffy says it’s time to fight for the family. That means Ridge being with her mom and Douglas living with his father.
Steffy declares the tides are shifting. Thomas agrees. Their parents aren’t so sure.
Taylor tells Ridge she’s got this and leaves with her daughter.
Ridge assures his son he supports him, but Douglas needs the right environment. Thomas agrees. That’s why he wants to move his son into the Forrester home.
This makes Ridge smile. As they talk about the advantages of Eric’s house, he wanders in. Thomas asks if he and his son can move in.
Eric laughs and says he’d be thrilled. The house is more like a home when there’s family in it.
His grandson explains he wants to change the situation with Hope. He’s grateful for what she did while he was working through some things. Now he wants to raise his son.
Thomas thinks he could learn from him as a father and designer. Ridge says Eric is the wisest man he knows. Thomas also just wants to spend more time with him.
Eric thinks this is great.
At Il Giradino, Hope joins her mom at a table. Over a massive bundle of bread sticks, they mull over the Thomas situation.
Brooke is sure that nothing will happen. Thomas is in no position to be the only parent to that child.
Hope thought that was understood but now isn’t so sure. Her mother assures her that Douglas will not be leaving her home. Hope gives him the consistency he needs.
This is not something Hope ever expected. Her mom assures her that he and Ridge won’t let Thomas take his son from her home.

B&B opinion: How to fix Brooke Logan
Brooke goes to Forrester Creations and startles Ridge. She tells him lunch was serious and there’s something they need to discuss.
He thinks she’s talking about what happened in Monaco. She’s perplexed. He tells her it was intense and he got swept up in it with Taylor.
Finn came back from the dead and lifted the darkness. “Taylor and I…we got lost it it,” he explains, adding they kissed.
Brooke looks away, sighs, then back at him and squints.
Steffy and Taylor head to the cliffhouse. They continue discussing Thomas and Douglas moving in together. He’ll need the whole family’s support.
Steffy repeats that Douglas is not the only one who needs to come back into the family fold. She tells her how that she can’t be patient with Ridge.
It’s time to stop wasting time. Taylor flashes back to kissing Ridge in Monaco.
At Bill’s, he and Li discuss how poisonous lies are in a relationship. He admits that he’s been both a betrayer and the betrayed.
Li won’t lump him in with Jack. Her ex brought chaos into her life but Bill saved her from it.
They hash over the secrets Jack kept and his choice to protect himself over his family. He will never get her faith back.
Bill says it seems like everyone wants to move forward. He’s sure Finn got his courage from her. She thanks him again for all he’s done.
Li doesn’t want to impose. Bill’s time is his own. She asks about his wife. He’s not married. They’ve discussed reconciling but it’s never happened.
Katie never understood the lengths he would go to help his sons. He’s sure that Li can understand that.
She admires how caring he is. He assures her he doesn’t normally care for complete strangers. She was an exception. Bill couldn’t ignore his instincts.
Telling him he saved her life and her son’s, she gives him a hug. Bill looks moved.
