General Hospital recap for Friday, December 12, 2022. In today’s GH episode, both Trina and Spencer are in a mood missing one another, while Carly and Willow chat about Willow’s first pregnancy and Denise admits to Drew that Willow’s bio mom is dead.
We also have Thursday’s GH recap where Joss and Nina bickered about deceit, Finn suspected Liz is pregnant, and Sonny gave Dex a gun.
At Spring Ridge, Ryan tells Heather he knows she was carrying their child when she left him. A daughter.
She’s shocked. She went to great lengths to hide her from him. He thinks they could have raised her in that cabin but she says it’d never have happened but she won’t stand in his way if he wants to try to find her.
Ryan informs her that their daughter has been visiting him for months. “Guess it was meant to be.” Heather’s shocked.
Ryan says she tried to find him the moment she came to Port Charles.
Heather’s stunned.
She had something that belonged to a girlfriend. “One of your souvenirs.” She admits she stole the necklace to remember him.
“The items on that chain can tell a lot of tales,” he says.
If it falls into the wrong hands, he’ll hold Heather responsible.
She asks if that’s a threat. She assures it’s safe.
She had it on when she dropped off their kid and she grabbed at it and screamed and the keepsakes scattered.
She tried to grab them but one was on her. Ryan says the one she had she used to find him.
Heather asks what she’s like other than clever. “Tell me about our daughter, Ryan. Our Esme.”
He calls her confident but says he hasn’t heard from her because Ava sent her over the parapet.
She’s missing. Heather gapes. Ryan thinks something is wrong since she hasn’t sent word. Neither believes she’s the hook killer.
She was last seen on Spoon Island.
Heather will make them pay if they hurt her. “We will make them pay,” Ryan says. She grins when he gets up and stands for her. She hangs on him and they get romantic as she asks what else he has to show her.
Nikolas finds Esme relaxing on the sofa in her room. “What do you want?”
He brings Demetrius in who sets a small tree on the floor.
Esme’s pissed that he’s not letting her go out to select one.
He snarks that he’d never let her do that. “Enjoy the tree,” he says.
He goes and she decorates it with toilet paper as she talks to her kid.
Downstairs, Spencer goes for the Sherry and flashes to talking with Trina at The Grill. He drinks.
Nikolas finds him. Spencer says Uncle Victor won’t stay at Metro Court. Spencer drinks more and Nikolas offers to talk.
Spencer will open up to someone who gives a damn. Nikolas loves him. He thinks his dad’s a minority.
He names off many who love his kid and Spence goes off about what Esme did to Trina and how she’s found love with Rory the do-gooder cop.

At the hospital, Finn asks Liz if she’s pregnant. She lies that she is. “Another man’s baby?” He asks.
She says she’s so sorry. He doesn’t believe her. She says it happened when she returned from Monterey.
He asks why she didn’t come to him. She felt guilty and thought he’d never forgive her. He barks that he has always been there for her.
She knows but can’t ask him to stick around more of her drama. “Who is the father?” She says it’s Nikolas.
Finn walks out on her in a huff. She follows him to his office where he’s throwing things around. He thinks Ava will be pissed to hear about this and tells her he won’t keep it quiet.
He asks when she was planning on telling him. She never meant to deceive him. He thought they were taking it slow and feels like a fool.
He tears up, bitter tears. He laughs as she tells him he deserves better.
She asks him to keep it from her kids. He’d never do anything to hurt her boys.
From home, Trina finds the perfume Rory gave her and flashes to Spencer asking to start over. Ava arrives and Trina asks her to stop her from making a big mistake.
She calls Rory sweet and kind and everything she ‘should’ want. Ava says love is about following her heart.
Trina asks if it only leads her to more heartbreak. Ava gets it. She’s been there.
They have to rely on their heads a little. “Complicated men lead to chaos,” they agree but the heart wants what it wants.
Ava wishes happiness for her friend. “Even if it leads to Spencer?” Trina doesn’t know how to stay with Rory when she has feelings “for someone else.”
She goes and Trina looks at the perfume and texts Spencer, “Welcome home.”
Spencer hurt her and he stood by while Esme did. Ava says as hateful as Esme did, she may not be the hook killer.
Carly arrives at Metro Court. Willow stops her. She says she’s meeting Michael for dinner and then he calls and cancels so Willow asks Carly to dine.
They talk about how she struggled with nausea during her first pregnancy. Willow’s taken aback. She doesn’t like to think about that.
Carly holds her hand and assures her it’ll be different. Willow almost tells her she’s sick. Carly urges her to open up if she needs to. The Holly and the Ivy plays.
Drew meets Denise Mackenzie at Metro Court. He talks at great length about how she’s the first female firefighter of Clairebourne county.
He brings up Willow, AKA Baby Callie. Denise says she was good-tempered and sweet. She found a good home with Harmony. Drew asks where she came from originally.
He tells her the story but doubts Harmony’s story was reliable. Denise remembers Joan being her bio mom and says that is how it went down.
She got mixed up with drugs and Denise responded to an overdose at a flophouse. She died.
Drew learns she had no family and she didn’t know the birth father. Drew thanks her for flying out to talk to him. She laughs that it’s on his dime.
She asks after Willow. Drew says she’s had struggles but is doing fine.
Denise is glad. He goes and finds Carly with Willow. He says has an update on her bio mom.
Carly leaves them alone and finds Denise nearby.
They discuss how they spoke last night and Carly asks what she told Drew.
When Spencer gets it, he smiles and puts the booze away. He doesn’t need it when he has hope.
He goes and Ava turns up. Nik smiles at her and she allows herself a small smile.
Upstairs, Demetrius turns up with lights and ornaments for her tree.
He hopes it’ll make her stop crying.
