Fri Dec 15, 2023: Today on General Hospital, Kristina tells Blaze about deciding to get pregnant, Jordan and Alexis discuss the surrogacy, and Robert and Diane talk their relationship status.
Thursday’s GH recap: Carly accused Ava of hiding something, and Dede warned Monica and Tracy against siding with Finn when GH decided to back him.
At The Invader, Jordan is about to leave her interview with Alexis when she asks to discuss something off the record.
They talk about the surrogacy situation.
Jordan isn’t totally comfortable with it and asks how Alexis feels.
The editor tells her she supports it but it’s been a challenge.
Jordan is just concerned about the rush.
They mull it over and can’t imagine asking Kristina to put her life on hold to wait. Besides, their kids are adults and they can’t tell them to wait.
They are sure the kids will all be fantastic parents. Jordan will adjust her thinking and do her best to support it.
Blaze wakes Kristina up and asks what her big news is.
It takes some prodding, but Kristina announces she’s going to have a baby.
She recalls the entire story of how this came about. It became clear to her that she wanted to help her sister get what she wants.
Taking her hand, Blaze says that’s wonderful and generous, but what does she want? It’s a life-changing choice.
Kristina is healthy and thinks this is the time. She feels like she is supposed to do this…for herself.
Listening to her is inspiring for Blaze. Kristina says billions of women give birth.
She thanks her for being so supportive. This would also mean a big change for them… if there is a them.
Blaze likes her and what’s happening between them. She’s still interested in seeing where this goes.
They kiss and then Blaze has to get to a meeting. She suggests they celebrate later.
Maxie is startled when BLQ shows up at the office and announces she’s coming back to work.
This is a surprise to Maxie and she wants an explanation. BLQ bluntly explains she wants to gain control and give it to her.
The plan is to convince Tracy to sign over control or blackmail her into doing it.
Lucy arrives, not happy to see BLQ back, threatening to have her arrested.
Maxie says it’s fine and BLQ reminds Lucy that her family has a controlling interest in the company and she has more of a right to be there than she does.
They dredge up their flaws and and BLQ tells Lucy she should be thanking Tracy for stepping in and saving her.
Lucy will never be thankful. BLQ is staying.
“Yippeee. Suit yourself,” Lucy says, refusing to ever deal with her. She stomps out.
Maxie doesn’t understand why BLQ is eager to have Tracy flatten Lucy. BLQ explains she’s getting the company back only for Maxie.
Maxie thinks they are getting ahead of themselves. BLQ is confident they are unstoppable.
In the stables, Cody finds a gift and exclaims, “Santa? If this is from you it’s a little early for Christmas.” Sasha laughs around the corner.
He goes looking and she hides. When he threatens to destroy the present, she leaps out.
The gift is from her and he can open it now. It’s a book about Monument Valley. They talk about how stunning it is.
He’s always wanted to go there. The last thing he ever thought would send him there is modeling.
She tells him not to sell himself short but he’s sure he’ll just be a backdrop for her beauty.
He feels terrible he doesn’t have a gift for her. She says he already saved her life and that’s the best gift.
Cody doesn’t want thanks and snaps. There’s a line between thanks and obligation. He doesn’t want to be owed, but to be liked.
She reminds him that he overheard her admitting she likes him.
He points out that she is still grieving and he doesn’t want to rush or pressure her with that.
If all they ever are is friends, that’s okay with him. She tells him to stop being so hard on himself. Most of the time he’s pretty great.
He admits he ordered a gift for her and it should be there before Christmas.
As he helps her pull her coat on, they nearly kiss. She awkwardly leaves.
At the coffee shop, Robert asks Diane how he did on their first time together. She’s barely registering this since she’s distracted by work.
Throwing her work on the floor, she declares he was magnificent.
He appreciates the gesture. She makes it clear she doesn’t sugarcoat anything and only exaggerates in court.
They kiss.
They discuss what to call each other and run through a list of possibilities. They decide on “just dating.”
If they are going to be exclusive, she wants to know that she’s his priority.
He will always be devoted to the other women in his life. Diane just wants to know he won’t drop her for his exes.
Robert agrees to tell them that she’s his priority.
