General Hospital recap for Monday, August 8, 2022. In today’s GH episode, Linc tells Chase that Brook Lynn is into him, Kristina and Sonny discuss what Nina means to him, and Ava goes looking for a Jane Doe.
We also have Friday’s GH recap where Brando was offered a chance to keep Sasha out of jail.
Nina shows a new prospect celebrity chef around Metro Court. Chef Jamika (played by Jamika Pessoa) asks if Nina has specific ideas in mind for the menu. Nina shows her the changes she wants, and Jamika asks why the change. Nina wants it to be the best restaurant on the east coast.
Obrecht strolls up and watches. Jamika likes her vision and will give her offer some consideration. She’ll get back to her. Jamika goes and Obrecht says she enjoys seeing Nina thrive.
She gifts her a Japanese Tanto knife, used to open her mail. In emergencies, Nina jokes that she can defend her turf. Liesl says, “It’s always good to be prepared.” She likes that Nina’s success is coming at Carly’s expense, but knows Carly won’t turn the other cheek.
Nina didn’t buy Metro Court out of spite. Liesl knows. They talk about Sonny and Nina knows Carly will always be a part of their lives. He’s found peace with that and wants her to do the same.
They talk about Nixon Falls and Obrecht asks if she still wants Sonny. She does. Liesl warns that Sonny and Carly always break up and reunite. Carly hears her loud and clear.
Sonny finds Kristina on a call about a delivery at Charlie’s Place. She’s throwing her weight around and he starts clapping as she ends the call. She handled it nicely. He’s there to congratulate her on the promotion.
She asks if he put Phyllis up to the promotion. He says she earned it. She’s grateful. They discuss the family. He tells her that Michael, Carly and Joss hate him while Dante’s trying to make peace.
She’ll never turn her back on him. Not after all he’s done for her. Kristina brings up Dawn of the Day. She knows Nina’s done some pretty bad things but so has she and so she’s not judging.
Sonny says her respect and opinion really matters to him. Kristina asks if Nina matters to him. Sonny thinks she knows that Nina means something to him. Still, Carly will always be in his life. Kristina can’t help but see that things could have turned out differently.
Sonny did all he could and says she can’t blame herself. She only wants her dad’s happiness. If that means Nina, then so be it. He grins. They embrace. She’s grateful he didn’t judge her about Parker and she knows she can count on him no matter how hard she tries to push him away.
They laugh that they’re stuck with each other. They hug.
At the pool, Spinelli begs Britt not to see Cody again. She doesn’t get why.
Nearby, Sam and Maxie ask Cody not to give Spin a hard time. It’s the last thing he wants to do, he assures. He goes and Sam asks if she knows what Spin’s up to.
Maxie just says that a despite matchmaking, things don’t always work out the way you want.
She asks if everything’s okay between her and Dante. They discuss moving in together and Maxie brings up Lulu’s coma. She understands the need to move on. Suddenly, Sam has to run.
Nearby, Dante thinks Brook Lynn’s trying to stick it to her former manager. He reminds her she’s a Quartermaine with the manipulative gene but Chase isn’t like that. She’s trying to repay him for his sacrifices.
Meanwhile, Linc tells Chase that Brook Lynn wears her heart on her sleeve in her songs. “I’m telling you, she thinks she’s found it. In you.” Chase thinks he’s got it all wrong.
Linc doesn’t care. He thinks Chase should dump BLQ. He details how he’ll start performing. BLQ strolls up. They get into it and Linc leaves. She asks what they were discussing and learns it was about her. That she had feelings for him. Brook Lynn turns away. They share a moment when it looks as though they’ll kiss but they inevitably don’t.
Elsewhere, Cody finds Britt with Spin, Maxie and Sam as Britt’s asking what he knows about Cody that she doesn’t. Cody eavesdrops and then approaches them. He asks what he did to Spin. Spinelli’s uncomfortable.
Cody thinks it’s time to put their cards on the table. He thinks Spinelli wants Britt for himself. Maxie finds that laughable. Cody drags Spinelli away and Britt says that Spinelli was talking about a bombshell who spoke three languages. Elvish, Klingon and Dothraki.
Elsewhere, Cody threatens to tell everyone that Zelda’s a front and that he arranged the date between him and Britt because he threatened to expose that he’s the genius behind Society Set Up. That the real matchmaker is an algorithm that searches all kinds of accounts, not just people who sign up.
What would Britt say about that? What does he think the NSA would say? Spin looks ill. “You wouldn’t!” Cody shrugs. That depends on him.

Dex meets Michael in his car outside. Michael doesn’t like this but Dex says after what Sonny asked him to do, he deserve a raise.
He relays news that Sonny expects a certain outcome at Trina’s trial. He needs a not guilty outcome. He’s asking for jury tampering.
But Dex calls it a felony. Michael would just need a third party to tip off the judge. Michael sighs. He can’t do that.
He’ll still give him a bonus, though.
He wants to take Sonny down, but not at Trina’s expense. Or his sister’s.
Willow looks up her medical chart at the hospital until Ava finds her. She says she’s graduating from nursing school in a few hours and was wrapping things up. Ava says that they had a guest leave Windemere last night and they’re concerned about her.
If she was in an accident, she probably would have been brought there. Willow checks admissions. She’d hate to see “the poor girl” in the ER. “Worse. In the morgue.”
She looks around, uncomfortably. Willow’s called away and Ava looks at the screen. Willow returns and Ava’s relieved. There’s no Jane Doe. Ava’s learned the hard way that you never know when your number is up, which causes Willow to excuse herself and take off.
Ava wonders what that was about. She follows Willow and questions her. Willow covers that she has morning sickness. Ava congratulates her. She calls it a gift and says it makes her the happiest person in the world.
She breaks into tears and moves into Ava’s arms. They commiserate over loss and Michael wanders up. He notices the women are tearing up and confronts Ava. “What did you do to her?”
She blames it on hormones and thanks Ava for the talk. Ava goes and Nik calls her. She tells him that Esme’s not in the hospital or the morgue. She could be anywhere. “Bye!” She disconnects.
Dex finds Kristina at Charlie’s Place. He asks to see his boss. Kristina wants to know who that is. Sonny turns around and thanks Kristina. She takes off and Dex fills Sonny in on the jurors until Nina wanders in.
Sonny sends Dex away and Kristina greets Nina before she goes into the kitchen. Nina’s floored at her kindness. Sonny explains they’ve a good relationship.
