General Hospital: 60 Years of Stars and Storytelling is a primetime special airing on Thursday, January 4 on ABC from 10 – 11 PM EST.
Folks can watch the next day on Hulu if they miss out or forget to DVR.
Originally posted December 15, 2023. The television event will feature fan-favorite cast members from throughout the years as they pull back the curtain on six decades in Port Charles, including behind-the-scenes moments, bloopers, a special fan tribute and more exciting surprises honoring General Hospital’s legacy.
This special will feature General Hospital cast members Maurice Benard, Jane Elliot, Genie Francis, Finola Hughes, Kelly Monaco, Laura Wright and many more, with special appearances by dancer, Val Chmerkovskiy, Emma Samms, Stephen A. Smith, Grammy winner and ex-Dr. Drake, Rick Springfield and Amber Tamblyn among other celebrity surprises.
“General Hospital: 60 Years of Stars and Storytelling” is executive produced by Frank Valentini.
Directing the primetime special is Ashley Gorman.
Michelle Henry and Mary-Kelly Weir serve as co-executive producers and this special is produced by ABC.
For those who didn’t know, ABC’s Emmy® Award-winning daytime drama, General Hospital is both the longest-running scripted drama and the longest-running American soap opera currently in production.
One of four remaining daytime dramas, General Hospital holds the record for the most Outstanding Daytime Drama award wins, taking home the prestigious Emmy Award a record 15 times.
Special guest star John Stamos remembers getting the role of Blackie Parrish. He started in 1982. And that’s Demi Moore (Jackie Templeton), Sharon Wyatt (Tiffany Hill) & Janine Turner (Laura Templeton) in the photo below.
Filmed in Hollywood, California, the show aired its 15,000th episode on June 22, 2022. If you weren’t aware, you should know that GH boasts of receiving 132 Daytime Emmys in their 60 years of being on the air.
