General Hospital recap for Wednesday, July 20, 2022. In today’s GH episode, Sasha opens up to Nina, Chase agrees to perform, and Austin has another mystery meeting.
We also have Tuesday’s GH recap where Spencer accused Esme of drugging Trina and setting her up as Trina’s trial went sideways.
At the gym, Finn and Chase are working out. The doctor tells him that Liz is back but needs to spend time with her boys. He asks him about the open mic night. Chase changes the topic back to Liz.
Finn admits he was thrown when she abruptly checked herself out. He thinks she’s moving too good for it to be true. After they get changed, Chase checks his phone and notices how many missed calls he’s had from Brook Lynn.
Chase is afraid of going before an audience and flashes back to Brook Lynn explaining her latest plan to get back at Linc. Finn tells him that if he doesn’t want to sing, he should just tell her.
At the Quartermaine estate, Michael and Willow break the news to Brook Lynn that they are having a baby. She’s thrilled and tells them a night out will be good for them. She’s hoping Chase doesn’t get cold feet about tonight.
After she putters off, Michael and Willow discuss OBGYN appointments. “It’s crazy that there is no craziness,” he says, giving her a hug. She looks worried.
In the stable, Cody calls Spinelli and asks him for details about Britt. Spinelli refuses. Britt shows up early so they can get their date over with. He suggests they eat outside under the stars. He’s already ordered from the Metro Court.
She doesn’t look impressed and isn’t happy when he tries to get her to ride a horse. The doctor doesn’t like horses. He says that if she’s so opposed to new experiences, she might as well be dead.
Britt admits she’s being stubborn and walks over to the horse but then leaps away. She wants to leave and declares this isn’t working. He wants her to stay because he can see she’s smart and passionate about life underneath her attitude.
They sit at the table outside and he apologizes for pushing her. They chat about her travel. She’s not enamored by the nomadic lifestyle. He claims he’s done wandering and wants to put down roots, have kids.
She leaps up and says this is a waste of time. The doctor tells him he’s boring and she hopes he finds a boring wife to have kids with. “I don’t even want any kids!” he blurts. She wonders what kind of game he’s playing. “What do you want from me?” she asks.

Maxie joins Mac at the open mic night on the Haunted Star. She wishes him luck on MCing as Austin arrives. Maxie and the doctor get a table and she assures him they will have a date alone soon. Spinelli swans in before they can kiss.
Maxie sends the doctor to fetch them drinks. She demands to know why Spinelli is stalking her. He claims to be aghast. She accuses him of hiding something so he concedes he doesn’t think Austin is not her perfect match. Austin returns.
Epiphany appreciates Marshall taking her out but she needs to study. He’s sure that a little music is good for her brain. She agrees to stay for one drink. “And a song,” he adds.
Mac starts the evening as Brook Lynn runs in. Epiphany is the first to perform. After she sings, Marshall tells her she was great and lifted everyone’s spirits.
Brook Lynn spots Chase and drags him in. Linc slinks over and gloats about her not being able to sing anymore. She claims she’s better than ever thanks to some help. He guesses she means Chase and says he’s a brave man.
Back at their table, Spinelli drinks and gabs about Star Trek. Austin gets a text and has to step out as Chase goes up to sing. Everyone nods and claps. Linc squints.
After the song, everyone tells Chase how fantastic he is. He asks Brook Lynn if she thinks Linc took the bait. When she steps away, Linc wanders over and asks him if he’s ever considered a career in music.
At their table, Spinelli admits to Maxie that Austin is a good listener.
Marshall and Epiphany chat and she thanks him for convincing her to come out.
Austin meets a bald men outside and demands to know why he’s there when he told him to stay away.
Nina stops by General Hospital with some stuff for Sasha. Brando leaves them alone to sort out the discharge papers. As he heads to the nurses’ station, Sonny and Dex arrive. Dex walks off and Brando and Sonny mull over what’s next for Sasha.
Brando wishes he understood how she got to this point. Drugs are a factor in her breakdown but not the cause. She’s still refusing to open up about her grief. Sonny reminds him to take care of himself and promises to be there if he needs anything.
As they look over at Dex, Sonny asks Brando for Felty’s name. He’s going to have a “talk” with him. Brando wants in on that. Sonny sends Dex off to find him. Brando wants to go but he can’t leave Sasha’s side. Sonny promises it will all be taken care of.
Back in Sasha’s room, she tells Nina not to stop her from going home tonight. Nina wants them to discuss rehab and guesses she doesn’t want to feel. She knows how much losing a child can mess you up. Shadybrooke might help her.
Sasha appreciates her understanding but doesn’t need a break. She claims she’s getting out-patient therapy. The worst is over. When Sasha gets a call from Willow, she won’t answer. She explains she just learned she’s pregnant.
The model talks about what it was like to think she saw her son again. That feeling didn’t come from the pills. Part of her wishes she could live in that mirage. Sasha cries and Nina hugs her.
Nina assures her she’s not crazy for wanting her baby back. Brando joins them and Nina takes off, reminding Sasha she is just a phone call away. He tells his wife the paperwork is on its way up. She knows he still thinks it’s too soon for her to come home.
He admits it but it’s her call. He would never go behind her back. They hold hands and agree to be a team. Brando worried she was mad at him for putting her in there but it’s what she needed. He promises to always be there for her.
Dex finds Felty and calls Sonny. “You know what to do,” Sonny says.
