Wednesday, Nov 1: Today on Bold and the Beautiful, Eric is eager to know who won, Katie guesses Luna knows Eric is dying, and RJ tells Ridge why he kept this secret.
Tuesday’s B&B recap: RJ told Brooke Eric is dying, Charlie and Esther kissed, and Carter learned only one collection sold out.
In his office at Forrester, RJ repeats to Brooke that Eric is dying.
He insisted he didn’t want anyone to know.
Brooke has to keep repeating this to herself because she’s in shock.
RJ explains his grandfather only has a few months left to live.
That’s why he keeps calling this his grand finale and wants to win so badly.
It has been really hard for him not to tell Ridge the truth.
Sobbing RJ worries his dad will hate him.
His mom assures him that won’t happen but he needs to tell his father about his dad.
In the showroom, Donna tries to get Eric to sit and calm down but he’s really excited.
He’s sure this is his finest collection and he’s beat Ridge.
After he hurries off, she sits and nearly weeps.
Katie comes in with a bunch of buyers.
They say hello to Donna and putter off, leaving her with Luna.
Luna tells her how remarkable the show was.
Donna is just anxious to know who won.
Eric returns and Donna assures him that he will win.
This loss will be a bruise to Ridge’s ego.
Katie returns and chats with Luna about her first show.
She’s really proud of all the work RJ did.
Katie senses she cares about him.
She also guesses that she knows about Eric.
Luna tells her how hard RJ has been taking it and how guilty he feels about not telling Ridge about it.
Katie is sure this is taking a toll on RJ but the way he’s supported Eric is incredible.
TJ will need her support over the coming months.
Eric has always seemed like a “given.”
It’s so hard to imagine life without him.
Across the room, Eric is getting impatient and starts to worry that Ridge might have won.
He put on a really good show.
He starts to cough so she tells him to stop working himself up.
Eric says this was his greatest achievement.
If he doesn’t win, it’s all over.
She can’t stand him talking like this.
He accepts this is probably his last collection and needs to know how this ends.
He calls over to Katie, asking if she’s heard anything.
She hasn’t so Eric ushers Donna out to find some answers.

Daily B&B spoilers into November
In the big office, Carter tells Ridge one collection sold out.
It was close but one designer was victorious.
Ridge wants to know who it was.
He’s sure if the company has a future, he must be the winner because Eric’s great designs were in the past.
Carter isn’t giving him the numbers immediately, but eventually hands them over when Ridge threatens to take away his necklace.
Ridge reads them and sees he beat his dad.
This must mean his vision for the company is correct.
He wants to be the one to tell his father he lost.
Brooke and RJ enter and ask Carter to give them a minute.
Once he’s gone, Ridge tells them he won.
RJ clutches his chest and tells him they need to talk.
Tearing up, RJ explains, “I’m sorry Dad. Grandad is dying.”
Ridge stares.
“What are you talking about?” Ridge asks, baffled.
Brooke prompts their son to explain.
RJ explains why Eric asked him to help him design.
His symptoms got worse and he started coughing up blood.
Brooke adds Eric swore him to secrecy and RJ says he didn’t want to betray him.
Eric didn’t want Ridge to know and couldn’t stand any pity.
Ridge gets it. RJ weeps as his father digests the situation.
None of this seems real to Ridge.
Brooke doesn’t know what they will do without Eric.
RJ keeps apologizing for not telling him. The doctor said Eric has a few months.
Brooke tells him he did right by his grandfather.
Ridge guesses this is why he was working with Eric.
Wiping his eyes, Ridge tells his son he’s proud of him.
Brooke says they will get through this as a family.
RJ hopes his dad understands why they had the fashion challenge now.
Eric and Donna enter.
He assumes they know who won the challenge.
“We know.” Ridge says.
His father asks who won this thing.
