Tuesday, Jan 30, 2024: Today on Bold and the Beautiful, Brooke tells Hope she’s just traumatized and doesn’t love Thomas, Charlie pines for Esther, and Luna decides to drop the search for her dad.
Monday’s Early B&B recap: Brooke was flabbergasted Hope didn’t reject Thomas’ proposal, and worries she’s leading him on, and Luna thought Poppy was lying.
At the cabin, Brooke reminds her daughter that she’s been through a lot and her feelings for Thomas must just be a result of the trauma of her marriage falling apart.
She insists he’s not the man for her. Accepting his proposal would be the biggest mistake of her life.
Hope is at a loss for words and doesn’t know how she can explain how sincerely she cares for Thomas.
It breaks her mom’s heart to think that she is settling for someone like Thomas with the past he has.
She just wants her to be happy and she knows he won’t make her so.
Brooke begs her not to accept his proposal and clings to her.
In the big office at Forrester, Ridge is impressed when his son shows him a photo of the ring he got for Hope.
Thomas was expecting he would think he lost his sanity. Ridge loves that he’s going after what he wants and is sure Hope loves it too.
Thomas wishes that Brooke felt the same way. He’s sure that she will hate all this.
His dad doesn’t think she’ll stand in his way, even if she does hate this.
Once Ridge exits, Charlie wanders in and tries to figure out a nickname for Thomas.
With some prompting, he explains that he only came in to tell Ridge that “breathtaking” Esther was there for her fitting.
Charlie cracks up as Thomas asks if he has a crush on her.
“You think that little kitten has old Charlie smitten?” he asks. Brooke strides in and asks to speak to Thomas.
Charlie exits muttering. Brooke tells Thomas she knows about the proposal and asks what he was thinking.
She claims she wants the best for him and is worried he’s out for heartbreak. Her daughter is conflicted, whether she wants to admit it or not.
She’s sure her daughter can’t give him the life he wants.
Back at the cabin, alone, Hope paces and thinks of Thomas telling her that she is the only woman for her.
Ridge shows up and she tells him her mom already left. He knows about the proposal.
He came to remind her of what a remarkable man his son is. He believes in him but the more important thing is that she believes in him.
If her feelings for him aren’t genuine, it will crush him.
Ridge thinks they are good together and she’s managed to forgive him. That makes her remarkable and he would be happy if she was his daughter-in-law.
After he leaves, she thinks about her mom’s warnings and Ridge’s encouragement.
Thomas shows up and they inform each other about their parents talking to them about the proposal.
He says her mom said the normal “jazz” and asks what his dad said to her.
She says he was really sweet. Thomas doesn’t want to pressure her.
He has faith that the ring will be on her finger one day. She looks into his eyes.

In the design office, Luna asks her mom again if Bill is her father. her mom insists he’s not and then asks why it matters.
Her delighter threatens to get answers on her own.
“Please don’t!” begs Poppy. Her daughter wonders what she’s hiding. Is it shameful?
Poppy sobs and holds her. Finn interrupts.
He notices Poppy is there. She forces a smile.
They break into awkward laughs and he hugs her, saying it’s great to have them both in LA.
He recalls all the time they spent together. Luna is surprised to hear her mom stayed with him and Li while he was at college.
Finn talks about how great it was to have a free spirit there to take the pressure off. This was about a year before Luna was born.
He invites them to dinner with Steffy and promises he’s trying to get his mom to chill out.
He has to make a call so they leave him to it. Poppy looks in at him.
Smiling to himself, RJ looks around the beach house. He checks his phone to see if Luna says texted back about talking to her mom.
He arranges some vases and then sends Luna a text, asking if she needs to talk. He flashes back to telling her how much he wants to kiss her.
RJ goes to Forrester to see Luna. She gives him a hug and explains her mom says Bill is not her father.
He asks if she’s okay. She explains her mom seems terrified about her asking who her mother is.
When she threatened to look into a paternity test, her mom begged her not to do it. Her mom is acting like the truth about her father is a dark family secret.
He’s sorry to hear that. She doesn’t want to hurt her mom so will have to drop this.
