Tues Jan 30, 2024: Today on Young and Restless, Jack urges Nikki to come clean with Victor, Nick admires Sharon’s hard work, and Devon vents to Nate about Tucker.
Monday’s recap: Nikki fired Audra after she rejected her offer to run the London office, and Jack offered Nikki a solution.

Victor knocks on Nikki’s door in Newman Tower.
She and Jack sit silently and wait for him to leave.
Once he does, Jack says he wasn’t missing sneaking around like this.
She reminds him he agreed to help and this is included.
Jack thinks that she should reconsider telling Victor that he’s her new sponsor.
Victor calls her.
She gasps but Jack urges her to answer.
She tells her husband she was out for a walk to clear her head. It was cold so she’s back.
He asks her to meet him in his office.
Once she’s off the line, Jack urges her again to just come clean with her husband.
Nikki knows he doesn’t agree with her choice but he needs to respect it.
Jack tells her to take things one minute at a time.
She’s sick of hearing that.
She knows how this whole program works and she’s tired of putting other people through it.
How long does Victor have to deal with all this?
He would be so hurt if he knew someone else was helping her through this.
Even if she hates lying to him, she has to spare him. “Okay,” agrees Jack.
She thanks him for his help, but when he admits he was talking to Victor earlier and trying to read how he was handling this, she tells him that’s exactly what he’s not supposed to be doing.
Jack assures her that it was fine.
The conversation just confirmed for him how much Victor cares.
She doesn’t want her husband to see her fragile and a mess.
She needs to do this with the support of someone who understands what she’s going through.
“I’m your guy,” he says.
Victor sits in his office and thinks until Nick shows up and asks him for a drink. His dad has plans with Nikki.
He admits she’s pretending to be stronger than she is.
He doesn’t like Jack snooping around about the family. Nick asks how much he knows, but he doesn’t think he needs to worry about him.
His father wonders how Jack found out about Nikki’s drinking.
Nick is sure he’s just concerned.
“Your mother doesn’t need his support,” he insists.
Nikki arrives and assures them that all is well.
Victor asks about her new sponsor and she claims it’s good.
She tells them her new person is very solid and will work well.
Victor asks their son to join them for dinner but he gets a text from Christian reminding him of taco night and takes off.
Jack gets back to teh Abbott estate and tells Diane how much he hates all the awkwardness with helping Nikki.
She’s not doing well and he’s worried.
It’s like she’s doing all she can to look like she’s in control.
His wife worries this is too much for him to take on but he says there is no reason to be concerned.
Smiling Jack suggests they go dancing.
Victor takes Nikki to Society and explains that he spoke to Jack earlier, who had all sorts of questions about her drinking.
She confirms that he knows about it. Talking about it helps.
He’d rather keep problems like this in the family. He doesn’t trust Jack.
Victor mentions that he talked to “that Audra woman” and knows about the firing. He just worries about the stress this might be causing her.
His wife assures him that it will all be fine and she’s handling it.
One of his security guys calls him to say there was a major fire at the institution where Jordan is being held.
No word on the survivors or escapees.
When he gets off the line, lying Victor tells his wife that was just a business call.
Nate wanders into Devon’s office at Chancellor-Winters and offers to buy him a drink at the club.

Mishael Morgan (Amanda) returns
Tucker finds Audra sitting in the GCAC dining room.
He was surprised that she reached out to him after their last conversation.
As he orders a drink, he wonders if she’s as mercurial as people claim he is.
She wishes she was as rich as he is.
“I could change that for you if I wanted to,” he says.
He wonders if his pitch got under her skin or he’s irresistible.
She explains she’s had some time to think things through.
Her reaction was knee-jerk but she’s calmed down.
McCall senses it’s more than that.
She had declared she was done with him.
Audra informs him she decided to leave Newman Media immediately because there was nowhere to climb.
He assumes there was more.
Tucker guesses that she ticked off Nikki and got fired. She claims she quit.
This is not the conversation she’d hoped for. He urges her to be specific and then spots Nate walking in.
He asks what’s going on between them and assumes it’s related to her quitting Newman Media.
Devon joins Nate across the room and asks him if he’s still friends with Audra. Nate does his best to clarify that they aren’t friends.
Devon senses a vibe. Nate just wonders why Audra has such a messed up co-dependency with Tucker.
Hastings tells his cousin how grateful he is that they can work together again. Family means everything.
He’s sorry that he has to keep Tucker out of his life.
Devon points out he was never around so it’s not that hard. Tucker will never be half the man Neil was.
All McCall does is lie. Why would he want him in his life?
Back at their table, Audra admires how much Tucker cares about his son. He starts fishing for compliments.
She offers to write down his good qualities so he can tape it to his mirror and remind him he’s part of the human race.
McCall admires her underhanded compliments, cruelty, and simmering looks. She’s fascinating to him.
Rubbing his fist, he observes that she’s playing some kind of long con and is dying to know what it is. He can see how hard Nate is trying not to look at her.
He keeps pushing for details and she claims Nate is just nice to look at. Eventually, she claims they are sleeping together.
Tucker doesn’t buy it. Not that he cares. It would just be her using sex again, but to what end?
When she wants to talk a deal, he dismisses this and walks out, stopping by Nate and Devon’s table to acknowledge them and ruin the mood.
Devon vents to Nate about how everything about Tucker is a lie. They discuss how it would be better for everyone if he went to France.
Devon can’t see him leaving. That doesn’t make sense to his cousin unless he thinks he still has a shot to get his son back.
Devon just assumes he won’t let himself be chased away. He’s sure Nate would have acted the same a few months ago.
That’s a pretty low blow to Nate so his cousin assures him he’s proved he can change.
It’s getting late for him so heads home. Nate and Audra stare at each other.
He walks over and ask why Tucker was eyeing him. She says it was because he was being obvious about eying her.
Hastings sits and she tells him she needs to get back in Tucker’s good graces so she can undermine Glissade.
He thinks she’s suckering herself but she’s sure about what she’s doing and that it’s her time to win.
Jack and Diane go down to the club and try to ignore Tucker. He asks about Ashley heading back to Paris.
Jack snaps it’s none of his business. McCall is sure she went to find out the truth about what happened in Paris.
He’s sure this will confirm his side of the story. Jack isn’t sure and suggests that McCall is being delusional.
This makes Tucker laugh.
On the patio of Crimson Lights, Nick spots Sharon talking to sales team over her laptop about client service.
He smiles as she talk about “bespoke software products” and then ends the meeting.
“Wow!” says Nick. He thinks that was amazing.
Sitting down, he admires her “next level energy” and how well she deals with young people. She can hardly understand what they are talking about.
Sharon still can’t bring herself to sell their coffee house because of all the memories, even if she should.
She thanks him for admiring how she keeps balls in the air. This makes the hard work she does even more worth it.
When she changes the topic to him, he says he’s boring. She ask about his mom.
He doesn’t know how to answer that. His mom is strong but the disease is hard on her.
She was doing great before her world was turned upside-down by a psycho. Sharon says she’s surrounded by people who will help her.
Nick has some doubts but she’s confident that Nikki can get through this again.
