Monday, Jan 29, 2024: Today on Bold and the Beautiful, Luna pushes her mom for answers, RJ signs the lease on the beach house, and Thomas tells Ridge that he proposed.
Friday’s Early B&B recap: Poppy’s eyes filled with tears when Luna asked if Bill is her father.
In the beach house, RJ signs the lease agreement with Bill. They joke about him being his landlord.
Bill is sure that Luna will keep him on the straight and narrow and tells him to keep the place nice.
They talk about how great the Nozawa women are. Bill recognized her right away after decades. He could never forget her.
RJ thinks it’s interesting that Bill and Poppy are being pulled back together. He thinks that could be good for Luna too.
He’s sure that his boys could learn a lot from her. Before they start introducing families, they have a lot of catching up to do.
RJ suggests that Poppy being back in his life could bring an unexpected gift.
In the design office, Luna pushes her mom about whether Bill is her father. She asks twice.
Finally, Poppy says he’s not and it’s funny she would think so. This isn’t funny to Luna, who wants to know who her father is.
Her mom thought she was happy and wasn’t bringing this up any more. Luna asks if she was intimate with Bill.
Poppy doesn’t like being “interrogated” so her daughter assumes that she was intimate with him and he could be her father.
Tearing up, Poppy says she’s an independent woman and her only parent. She’s the reason for every decision she’s made and begs her daughter to say that her loving her is enough.
Clasping her arms, poppy tells her that she’s all of her pride and joy. Luna makes it clear she loves their lives and wouldn’t trade them for anything. But she has questions about herself.
Her mom insists it’s just the two of them.
After reminding her daughter of the power of sisterhood, they do the Nozawa fist bump and hug.

B&B January comings and goings
In the main office, Ride and Thomas talk about Eric’s gradual recovery. Ridge then asks him for the latest about Hope.
Thomas says he loves her and doesn’t want anything to come between them. He’s sure that she still has faith in him and he won’t let the past get in their way.
He admits to his father that he did something… he proposed to Hope. Ridge’s jaw drops.
His son explains that she only gave him a maybe. Thomas thinks she just needs more time and he’s willing to wait because he loves her so much.
One day, she will make him the happiest man in the world.
He hopes his dad won’t tell Brooke about this. Ridge is glad he’s making healthy decisions now.
Thomas loves that his father has so much faith in him. “Fathers and sons,” says Ridge.
His son points out the same is true of mothers and daughters.
Ridge says that if it’s supposed to happen, love will find a way. They hug.
At the cabin, Hope shows her mom the art project that her daughter did showing how good she feels.
When Brooke brings up her divorce, her daughter cuts her off, assuming she’s going to start making digs about Thomas.
She doesn’t want to defend her relationship to him every time they speak. Her mom reminds her she said they could have a future.
Does she really think that’s possible given what he did in the past?
Hope thinks and paces. Her mom wants to know what’s going on.
Sighing, Hope says that Thomas loves her and is committed. Her mom asks how she feels and says it could be dangerous to lead him on.
Brooke is taken aback when her daughter lets it slip that he proposed. She grabs her hand to check for a ring.
“Just glad you said ‘no’,” Brooke concludes, dismissing her relationship with Thomas as a “reaction.”
Her daughter explains that she didn’t say “yes” but she didn’t exactly say “no” either.
When she yanks out the ring on her necklace to flash it, Brooke gasps.
The ring shines.
Her daughter explains that she didn’t accept because she needed more time. While she’s taking time, she’ll wear the ring close to her heart.
Her mom is appalled. This all seems like the old Thomas to her.
Hope says she needs to figure some things out for herself before she makes giant decisions. Doesn’t she want her to be happy?
“The way you were when you were with Liam,” Brooke says. Her daughter reminds her that he left her.
Thomas has been consistent, supportive, and a positive force in her life. Why can she not accept that?
Her mom is horrified and begs her not to become Thomas’ wife.
