Friday, Feb 16, 2024: Today on Bold and the Beautiful, Poppy and Luna explain the mints to Zende, Thomas and Hope admires RJ’s love for Luna, and Luna wants to tell RJ everything.
Thursday’s Early B&B recap: As Luna became determined to tell RJ everything, Poppy begged her to keep it a secret, and Liam got advice from RJ.
At Poppy’s, she tries to convince her daughter not to tell RJ everything.
Luna thinks she cant mess things up any worse that she has. Her mom’s drug habit caused her to hallucinate that Zende was RJ.
Poppy says this is all her terrible mistake and urges her not to make it worse.
Zende shows up, sure he’s the last person she wants to see but he’s been freaking out,
Poppy shoves him back and asks if he’s taken advantage of her daughter.
“Absolutely not!” he says, explaining what happened.
Luna backs this up, insisting that he did nothing wrong.
When she tells her mom that they owe him an explanation, Poppy nods.
The last thing he wanted was Luna to think he was someone else the first time they had sex.
Luna explains she didn’t understand what happened until she talked to her mom. It’s all her fault. Her and her mints!
Zende looks confused. Poppy explains she takes “recreational mints.”
She only takes one, not pops them, and has a high tolerance. If you mix them with alcohol, it can cause problems.
He’s still confused.
Poppy says her daughter takes normal mints. He guesses she was high.
Luna recaps getting drowsy, leaving, being thirsty, going to his place for water, and then getting into bed.
Sobbing, she says she was hallucinating.
Zende asks how she could do this to her daughter.
She should be horrified. She took something from her daughter and him too.
He thought they might share something beautiful, but not like this.
“Okay great. Zende knows.
Now it’s time for someone else to know. I have to tell RJ,” says Luna.
He thought she was sweet and pure, but everything has been tainted by those damn mints.
Zende admits he wanted Luna, but not like this. He sides with her mom though. RJ doesn’t need to know.
“No one would understand at all ever! I can hardly even understand this!” He says. telling RJ will just hurt him and her reputation.
Poppy agrees with him and urges her daughter to meet her boyfriend.
Hug him, kiss him and remind herself of all she can lose.
She needs to keep this secret.
Thomas and Hope arrive at the Forrester Creations office and find RJ sketching furiously.
They’re amazed he’s working so fast. He explains he’s trying to get out early for a date with Luna.
It has been nice for them to watch him with Luna. They are such a sweet couple.
They assure him that everyone approves.
That may be the first time something like this has happened in the family.
RJ feels like a lucky guy.
He tells them about trying to make things romantic for Luna’s first time. He realizes he’s oversharing.
Hope doesn’t really want to discuss this but says the first time can be important for a woman.
She’s sure it was great and he’s a caring guy.
Thomas says he’s clearly in love and has it bad.
They think it’s wonderful that he and Luna are in love. She thinks she’s wonderful and lucky to have a caring guy.
He says that he’s attracted to her because she’s so easy to trust.
They usher RJ off to his date.
All this talk of romance has Hope thinking about Thomas and the ring.
They make out and giggle.

Zende is sketching in the design office but he can’t stop thinking about what just happened with Luna and Poppy.
He gets frustrated, throws his pencils, and breathes deep.
As he prepares a cheese plate, Luna joins RJ at the beach house. She’s not totally feeling better.
He knows she was with her mom and having a mom look after you is the best feeling in the world.
He senses something is wrong and starts apologizing for asking her to stay at the party when she was tired.
He just wishes he could have wrapped her up in his arms last night.
She wishes she was there too.
He tells her she is beautiful and he’s lucky to have her in his life.
As he kisses her, she flashes back to her conversation with her mom.
RJ asks what’s going on and tells her she can tell him anything.
She wants to believe that.
Luna loves him and there’s something she needs to tell him, something he needs to no about last night.
