Fri Feb 16, 2024: Cyrus is starting a radio show, Sam and Alexis discuss parenting, and Anna guesses Olivia was killed by the shooter they have been searching for.
Thursday’s GH recap: Drew wanted to buy Nina’s half of Metro Court, Valentin got devious, Michael faced Sonny, and Olivia Jerome died.
At their penthouse, Kevin tells Laura that he has been added to the adoption petition.
Everything is on track.
Cyrus shows up. His sister reminds him he was supposed to call before coming over.
He was in the neighborhood and wanted to stop by to see his nephew. They won’t let him see napping Ace.
Cyrus asks after Nikolas and how they are adjusting to being guardians.
They fill him in on the adoption plans and he congratulates them.
Laura is surprised by his happiness.
He can’t think of two better people to look after him but his sister makes it clear this doesn’t guarantee him any role in the child’s life.
Cyrus wonders why she would deprive the child of his family.
She wants stability for Ace.
The mayor can appreciate his intentions but assures him Ace has lots of family.
Cyrus longs to be part of that.
He reminds his sister of how much he cares and wishes she could see he’s turned over a new leaf.
Laura tells him it will take more than just his word.
It will take time to forgive him.
Her brother explains that he’s arranged to have Nikolas protected in Pentonville.
That doesn’t go over well.
He assures his sister he cut ties with the criminal element.
The people he reached out to were from his flock.
It’s not like he has money to bribe guards.
Cyrus hasn’t abandoned his people and his audience will only grow.
This afternoon, he’s starting his own radio show to spread God’s word to everyone.
His sister is shocked anyone would put him on the air.
He just hopes that she will one day see the man he has become and hopes she tunes in to his show.
Once he’s gone, Kevin returns and Laura is frazzled.
At the morgue, Dante tells Anna and Jordan that Olivia was being transferred when she was killed.
The van was ambushed, Olivia was taken and shot.
The gunman hasn’t been traced yet.
They go and look at the corpse. Anna identifies her.
She was shot in the back on the head.
They go through the evidence bag and Anna identifies the gun as coming from the WSB.
Whoever killed Olivia, tried to kill Sonny.
This fits with the other shootings.
They need to act fast before the Feds get involved.
They need to put a stop to this before any more innocent bystanders are hurt.
They talk about how O’Neill is still clamming up and refusing a deal.
Jordan suggests they can get him to talk to someone other than law enforcement.
They could plant an informant in his cell.
They’d have to find someone who could make a deal with the DA to make this work.
That would take time they don’t have.
Laura sends Jordan a text about Cyrus’ show, She turns on “Searching with Cyrus.”
Renault talks about how they are all in prison and he is there to remind them God is not giving up on any of them.
Back at her place, Laura listens, wondering what her brother is really saying.

Alexis stops by Sam’s after she cancels their lunch date.
Sam explains she’s keeping an eye on Danny.
Alexis is shocked to hear that he was drinking.
Sam was angry but barely flipped out.
They had a conversation and she grounded him.
They go over that and Sam insists she dealt with the whole thing maturely.
Her mom is impressed she was so normal.
Sam admits she’s worried that Danny could be drawn to danger like Jason was.
She recaps her son being brought in by the cops last night. She worries that he snuck out down the side of the building.
Her mom says one incident is not a pattern. She has no idea what’s normal for boys.
Sam is concerned that he could turn out like his father. The more she tries to control him, the more he will fight.
Danny took Jason’s death really hard and is concerned that he might be trying to be closer to him by emulating him.
Alexis tells her this is none of her fault.
She will get him through whatever this is because she’s a wonderful mother.
Sam thanks her for the encouragement.
Her mom thinks doubting herself is a healthy sign and urges her to take things one step at a time.
She’s sure she will take care of her son and she will help her if she needs it.
Alexis gets a call from a reporter and goes pale.
Joss barges into Sonny’s place, looking for him but only Ava is there.
When Joss wants to leave to find him, Ava urges her not to.
She suggests that she stay and asks why she’s so upset, assuming it is about Dex and Michael.
Ava says that he came by and confessed everything to his father. Sonny must know that she knows all about it.
Joss admits it. Ava is sure that was a heavy burden for her to carry.
When the Jerome urges her to open up, Joss wonders why she cares so much.
Ava reminds her she got Dex and Dante to find her when she disappeared so she owes her. Joss begs her to call Sonny before he can kill Dex.
She needs to speak to him before he does something drastic. She reminds Ava that she owes Dex her life too.
Joss complains that this is unfair. Ava reminds her the mob isn’t fair.
Refusing to give up on the people she loves, Joss storms out. Ava makes a call.
Alexis shows up and informs her that her sister Olivia is dead.
She pays her condolences but Ava doubts those are sincere after what she did to her.
Sonny shows up at Dex’s, guessing he has a gun when he opens the door. He challenges him to take a shot.
The boss says he knows too much and all he knows about him is that he can’t trust him.
Dex is sure that he has become a liability he can’t afford. He adds that he learned about more than the business.
He learned about what kind of man he is and he admires him, even if he shouldn’t.
Sonny wishes he could let him go and forget he exists. Dex says he can hold up under any pressure from his enemies.
The boss says he’s going to have to disappear. They are going to relocate him with a new identity.
Joss can’t be involved with this.
Shoving his gun into Sonny’s hand, he urges him to shoot him because his life isn’t worth living without Joss.
Sonny tells him he’s only going to break her heart if he makes him pull the trigger.
The boss tells him that if he wants to keep his life, he has to cut all contact and go.
His phone rings but he doesn’t answer, demanding an answer from Dex.
Moments later, Joss arrives. Only Sonny is there. He informs her Dex is gone and he’s not coming back.
She refuses to believe that but he says this is what’s best for everyone and hands her an envelope Dex left for her.
It contains his dog tags.
Crying Joss, screams that she hates Sonny and will never forgive him for this. He knows and walks out.
