Eric Confesses to Ridge and Brooke, 'Quinn's Not the Problem — I am', As Paris Fantasizes About Finn

Carter lets Quinn into his apartment. She assumes he’s wondering why she’s there and reveals that Eric sent her. She hands him the envelope and tells him that he says it’s sensitive material and he needs it now. Carter asks if she thinks it’s strange. She’s not sure what to think anymore. He opens the envelope. “Tonight is yours,” Eric writes. He shows Quinn who crumples it up. Carter loves her and misses making love to her. He knows they said they’d stay apart but Eric keeps pushing them. It wouldn’t be disrespectful now. “Would it?” They make out and things get passionate.

At the Forrester Mansion, Eric stares at Quinn’s portrait and downs a martini. Someone arrives and he says, “You’re home already?” He looks. It’s just Brooke and Ridge. They wanted to check on him again. He’s fine. Ridge calls him out for him drinking alone. “Where’s Quinn?” Eric brushes their concerns off and asks what they’d say if he told them she was upstairs reading a book. “Is she?” Ridge asks. Brooke comments that if she was, at least it’d mean she wasn’t with Carter. Eric admits Quinn’s not upstairs. She’s out having fun. Bridge scoff at that. They think he does better. Eric tells them Quinn isn’t the problem. “I am.” Brooke doesn’t get it. “She slept with Carter,” she reminds him. He calls the conversation tiresome. They don’t want to see him hurt. Brooke hugs him goodbye. Eric flashes to dancing with his wife once they’re gone.

Paris watches Finn leave the kids’ room. He tells her Steffy fell asleep with the kids. They talk about her having to deal with something not so pleasant. “You mean, Sheila?” Paris says. He nods. He thinks of Steffy as a warrior — that is until Sheila came into the picture. Paris asks how he feels about the way Steffy sees his biological mother. Finn tries not to think about that. He’s too removed. She’s his birth mother but he doesn’t know her. Steffy and the Forresters did and they all call her psychotic and dangerous. She’s a threat to the family and his newborn son. “She gets fixated on things.” Paris says people change. Maybe she’s not the same person as she was before. Finn believes people can change but he doesn’t know if Sheila has. All he can do is listen to his wife and honor her wishes and instincts. Paris puts a hand on his. She can only imagine how difficult this has been on him. He glances at her hand. She pulls away and asks if he wants to get to know Sheila. He says it’s only natural. Under different circumstances. She’s done criminal things. Paris thinks it’s sucks that he can’t share his feelings with Steffy. “Well, thankfully I have you. You’re a good friend, Paris.” She’ll always be there for him — and Steffy. She asks if Steff thinks that Sheila faked the collapse. “You’re a doctor, wouldn’t you know?” He doesn’t know and it doesn’t matter. His wife doesn’t want Sheila around and he stands by that. Paris wonders if cutting ties with her forever is really how he wants to handle this! He can’t take chances with his son’s welfare. He remembers being happy meeting her. She smiles. He came crashing down to earth fast. Nothing has been the same since. Paris is sorry he’s dealing with such a challenge but she admires him for standing up with Steffy. “You’re incredible,” she says. He’s grateful for her understanding and empathy, which means so much during this “strange time.” She says he can talk to her about anything. He caresses her face. “There is something special about you, Paris.” He kisses her and she hears him call her name. She comes out of a fantasy.
