In the Wednesday, October 12, 2022, full episode recap of CBS’ Bold and the Beautiful, Steffy reassures her mom that Ridge is devoted to her, Deacon is distressed that Sheila has been stealing steaks, and she quizzes him about Nikki and reveals she’s jealous of his time with his ex.
We also have Tuesday’s B&B recap where Thomas revealed he called CPS on himself and Steffy spied on Ridge dumping Brooke.
Inside Bill’s Aspen house, Steffy and Taylor have been watching Ridge and Brooke arguing outside.
The shrink is sure Brooke is out there saying “destiny” over and over again. She hates that she has the slightest doubts about Ridge’s loyalty.
Steffy assures her that he’s committed. Taylor has heard it before and worries Brooke will gaslight him again. Steffy repeats it won’t work this time, no matter how hard Brooke tries.
They rehash all the ways this can play out. Taylor just hopes that he’s ending things with Brooke for real this time. She needs some air to prepare herself.
Outside, Ridge demands that Brooke take responsibility and tell him the truth.
She urges him to take her hand and go home, reminding him of their vows. Shaking his head, he tells her they had a beautiful love story but it’s over.
He says he’ll love her forever. Othello spies on them as Brooke goes on about how confusing all of this is. Holding her hand, Ridge tells how important his family is.
Her voice cracking, Brooke tells him he can’t leave her like this. He lets go of her hands.
“Goodbye Logan,” he says, before walking away.
Brooke sobs.
When Ridge goes in the house, he finds Steffy is alone. She admits they were watching him with Brooke and ask what the verdict is.
He explains he told her it is over and he’s re-committing to Taylor. Steffy is thrilled and declares this changed everything.
Her father trudges out to find her mom.
Steffy goes outside and finds Brooke looking thoughtful on the lawn furniture. She tells Brooke that Ridge left her because he wants a life of happiness and support. This was his decision.
He may have wrestled with it, but it’s clear that their relationship is over. Steffy only hopes that’s clear to Brooke too.
Brooke is sure she’s thrilled about the end of her marriage and has come to gloat.
Steffy accuses her of making everything about herself. She insists it’s her mother’s time now. This all shows that goodness and dignity win in the end.
“This is the end for you and my father,” she says.
Ridge walks in the woods and watches the frolicking deer.
Eventually he finds Taylor and tells her Brooke was there. He explains he wants a life with happiness and honesty: that’s a life with her.
They kiss.

B&B opinion: Taylor, Ridge’s second choice?
At Eric’s, Thomas talks to himself, admitting that it was him who called CPS on himself using the voice app.
He recalls his son showing him how to use it. “There really is an app for everything,” Thomas says.
He flashes back to placing the call using the app. Thomas hopes that Brooke doesn’t ruin things.
Steffy calls him to say Brooke is gone. “Brooke will never both us again,” he says.
At Il Giardino, the chef asks Deacon what happened to the steaks in the freezer.
At Deacon’s, Sheila prepares the steaks. “A little sizzle in the pan, a little sizzle for my man,” she says.
When Deacon arrives, he smells the steak. She kisses him and tells him she’s paying him back for his hospitality.
He’s not happy that she was creeping around Il Giardino and stealing food. As she strokes him, she says no one noticed her… even Nikki Newman didn’t notice her the other day.
Sheila asks if Nikki was looking to rekindle their old flame. He explains he owed her a favor. It’s done and she’s gone.
Sheila wonders why he didn’t mention this. Laughing, he says he’d think she was jealous if he didn’t know her better.
She tells him she wants every inch of him for herself.
