In the Friday, June 2, 2023, full episode recap of CBS’ Bold and the Beautiful, RJ looks for a shirt, Deacon backtracks, and Taylor angles for a free trip.

At Il Giardino, Brooke tells Deacon they have a remarkable friendship and she’s flattered that he wants to see where things could go with her, but she wonders where this is coming from.
He flashes back to Taylor encouraging him to pursue Brooke and end the toxic cycle for all of them.
Deacon backtracks and says he feels stupid for listening to someone else when he knows she’s all about Ridge. She asks if someone put him up to this.
He covers but she’s sure this was all Hope’s idea. Deacon says she got this wrong.
She thinks their daughter is just being cute but she’ll set her straight. He repeats that she’s wrong so she keeps prodding.
Brooke tries to figure this out and assumes Hollis was behind it. He needs to get back to work and asks her to forget this.
As soon as he steps away, she chases after him and gasps, “It couldn’t be Taylor, right?”
He shrug-nods. She’s in total shock. She and Taylor made a pact.
He assures her that Taylor cares about their friendship. This was just a suggestion she made.
She thinks the fight for Ridge has returned. “It’s time for me to unfriend a friend!” she declares, storming off.
At Forrester Creations, Taylor is happy and sad talking to Ridge. Discussing the life they shared just got to her.
They talk about how great things are going for their kids. She wishes she could go to Rome with everyone to support the family, including him. It sounds to him like she’s angling for a trip.
Taylor loves Rome and this is such a big moment for their son. Of course she wants to support him.
“Rome is a happy place filled with love…kind of like our family,” she says.
They talk about the journey they have been on. She doesn’t regret much of it, especially the early years and misses the times they shared.
The doctor can’t help but wonder if they could ever share those things again.
She’s missed the little things, like the way he looks into her soul. She doesn’t think Brooke has held up her side of their vow. Neither of them can pretend the heart doesn’t want what it wants.
Taylor thinks of falling asleep with him all the time and all the simple things.
Brooke arrives at the door and eavesdrops as Taylor says that Brooke has no integrity. She hasn’t changed and is doing what she always does. She urges him not to fall for it.
Eric beeps in and says he needs to see his son right away.
Ridge rushes off and Brooke storms in, demanding to know how she could break their pact. She’s never felt more betrayed in her life.
“You are a backstabbing traitor!” she bellows.

Hope walks in on shirtless RJ as he looks for top.
She assumes he left the door open hoping a model would walk in on him.
He tells her how important it is for him to work out to keep up his image. She knows how important perceptions are.
Not picking a shirt, he turns to ask her how their mom is doing. She tells him he’s a good son to be concerned.
He wants to help if he can but she doesn’t think there’s anything to worry about. They talk about how weird it is for Brooke and Taylor to be friends. He doubts it will hold up but she thinks it will.
RJ is glad their mom actually has a friend, but is that enough? Will she be okay without Ridge?
She points out relationships can be a lot of work and she might just be happy being single. RJ recalls how Ridge often broke his mother’s heart.
“It is what it is and you do what you gotta do,” he says. He’s happy Hope taught him to normalize things. But something is still off about Brooke choosing a friendship with Taylor over Ridge.
Hope is sure part of their mom will always love Ridge.
