In the Friday, May 12, 2023, full episode recap of CBS’ Bold and the Beautiful, Thomas and Hope meet with the buyers, Steffy reminds Liam of how well his wife and her brother work together, and Liam panics.
We also have Thursday’s B&B recap where Thomas and Hope jetted off to San Francisco on business, leaving Liam to worry.
In San Francisco, Hope and Thomas give a presentation for their new collection to some buyers (played by Vivian Huang and Quinn Knox). They are impressed and very happy he is back spearheading the line.
“I couldn’t agree more,” says Hope, beaming at Thomas.
Liam is on the phone in his office at Spencer Publications when Steffy stops by.
She hands him Kelly’s wristband for the soccer match. She also wanted to check in and see if he’d heard anything from Thomas and Hope.
He thought she’d hear about a Forrester meeting before him. Hope sends a text to say the meeting was great and they are on the way home.
They’re both happy that’s done.
Sitting around, he talks about how he doesn’t like his wife with Thomas in any context. She reminds them they make a fantastic team.

Back in San Francisco, Thomas and Hope are thrilled by how well things went with the presentation. They thank each other for all their hard work.
The pilot calls her and explains there are some mechanical issues. There’s a chance they might not get out tonight but he’ll keep them posted.
Thomas says he feels terrible. Hope looks tortured.
He starts trying to book her a commercial flight and she thanks him for trying to help get her home. He reminds her they had a great deal today.
She was having so much fun, she forgot to be nervous. Thomas finds out there are no more flights out.
Flustered Hope says this isn’t good. Liam will not be happy.
She calls her husband, who can’t wait for her to get home. She explains the jet is having some mechanical issues and there are no flights out.
Liam realizes she’s stuck there for the night with the other man.
The pilot will keep them updated but there’s a chance they might have to stay overnight.
“I really, really want to see you and the kids,” she insists, promising to keep him posted.
When she gets off the phone, Thomas says he’s ordered some room service. Hope tries to keep herself calm and not stress. They chuckle about how neither of them are good at waiting.
He looks forward to a night on the town and some more work. She thinks they should stay there and bask in the glory of their success.
Thomas decides to order a room for himself, just in case.
They sit down to salad, toast to their accomplishments, and she tells him how happy she is about all the progress he’s made. He’s proud they are where they are. She’s proud of him too and considers him a friend.
She gives him a look and he wonders what it means. She laughs and claims she doesn’t know.
Hope reminds him she loves Liam and her family. Getting uncomfortable, she tells him how hard it’s been to grow up in her mom’s shadow.
Brooke has always “followed her heart” and that’s meant leaving a lot of people devastated. She never wanted to be like her. Her morals mean everything to her.
Thomas assures her she’s the most moral person he knows and gives her a hug. As they look in each other’s eyes, her heart starts thumping.
Back in his office, Liam worries to Steffy, who keeps thinking about catching them holding hands.
She calls the pilot to check on the situation. Liam worries Thomas and Hope will have to share a room.
She urges him to save himself some grief and give her brother the benefit of the doubt. He has to admit that Thomas and Hope working together hasn’t been a horrorshow… yet.
Liam recalls how much tension it caused to his marriage. But Hope has been amazing and reassuring.
Steffy thinks of Hope caressing Thomas’ hands and then assures Liam that he doesn’t have to worry about her brother.
