In the Thursday, June 15, 2023, full episode recap of Bold and the Beautiful, Steffy fishes for information about how Liam feels about Hope going to Rome with Thomas, while Liam drowns his sorrows in pasta and bourbon.
We also have Tuesday’s B&B recap where Hope suggested Liam come to Rome, Brooke told her sisters that Ridge was keeping her at a distance, and Thomas repeated that nothing will happen on the trip as everyone boards the jet for Rome.
On the flight to Italy, everyone works on their laptops and Carter talks about the press Katie ordered for the preview.
Steffy jokes, “No pressure,” after Thomas reads it.
He sketches and Steffy tells him not to spend the entire time with his nose in his sketchbook.
Hope watches the exchange and Ridge tells Carter they’re going to his favorite bar in Rome to celebrate when this is over.
Carter thinks he may have plans and motions to Brooke, calling it a romantic city.
Ridge smiles at Brooke who grins back.
Later, Thomas shows Hope his sketch and she yawns.
He brings up the massage he gave her on the San Francisco trip and she doesn’t think her mom would appreciate knowing about it. They watch their parents.
Brooke brings up what Thomas put them through and Ridge rolls his eyes while Steffy tells Thomas that she thinks her mama feels left behind.
They all know that they won’t have a minute to relax.
Steffy wonders if that’ll be a problem with Hope and brings up how late she was boarding the flight.
Hope goes to get water and Brooke asks if she spoke with Liam. She says not since she left LA. Brooke asks if she thinks he would want to hear her voice.
Hope says he will when she calls to say goodnight to the kids.
She turns the talk to Brooke reuniting with Ridge but Brooke says it’s a business trip. Nearby, Steffy and Riddge talk about how romantic Rome is and she thinks it’s inspiring and that he should “live his life.”
He gazes at Brooke and they smile at one another.
Later, Hope goes to Steffy and tells her she doesn’t need to keep staring at her and Thomas every minute.
Steffy says she never answered her question earlier. Hope didn’t because her marriage is none of Steffy’s business.
Steffy’s worried about her brother. Hope knows.
Steffy refuses to let Hope or anyone destroy all his work.
Hope tells her there’s nothing to worry about.
Steffy rolls her eyes and leaves the room while Thomas appears and asks what’s up with Hope. He touches her and her heartbeats as she thinks of him massaging her and touching her at other times and then having sex with him.
Liam sits at Il Giardino drinking bourbon alone at a table.
Deacon asks what’s wrong.
“I told them extra vegan.” Liam’s just not hungry. They both miss Hope but hope the preview is a big success.
Deacon knows he can’t be happy about Thomas going. Liam finds Deacon very perceptive.
Deacon says Hope believes Thomas has changed but Liam doesn’t buy it and doesn’t think he ever will.
Liam says they’ve overcome a lot but the situation with Hope and Thomas is rough and there’s always a disagreement.
They couldn’t have one casual conversation before the trip and Liam blames himself.
Deacon knows it’s gotta be frustrating for them both. He calls Hope committed. Liam thinks she needs his faith in her decision.
He admits he’s been telling her all along he was against her rehiring Thomas on her line but since then, she gave him another chance.
Deacon wonders if the co-parenting and designing are easier for her to give him another chance.
Liam says she always lets her guard down and then gets hurt. Deacon makes threats that if Thomas does anything, he’s done. “Adios.”

At Forrester Creations, RJ asks Eric if he wants to shake things up a bit. He’s into that.
RJ thinks his grandpa looks good behind the desk.
He admits he’s had it for a long time and it cost him a lot of money back in the day.
He’s had a lot of satisfaction from it and design.
He asks if RJ’s tried designing. RJ knows his dad would be elated if he designed. Eric bolsters his grandson’s ego about it but RJ’s working on his own thing.
Eric thinks he and his dad have a lot in common.
RJ loves being back in LA and is glad he’s there with Eric rather than in Rome with the others. Eric wonders how the trip will affect his parents. RJ claims he just wants to stay out of the family drama.
Eric jokes that he’s too sarcastic but RJ admits he would like to see his mama and dad reunited as long as they really want it.
Eric believes they do want it but the timing has been off. Rome’s romantic. They grin.
