In the Thursday, June 8, 2023, full episode recap of CBS’ Bold and the Beautiful, Hope is tired of Liam telling her how worried he is, Carter is excited by the Rome trip, and Taylor and Ridge share some gossip.
We also have Wednesday’s B&B recap where Ridge professed his love for Brooke but worried they’d just hurt each other, while Hope gossiped to Thomas about their mothers.
At the Forrester office, Carter, Ridge and Thomas go over the itinerary for Rome. He tells them this will be epic.
Taylor arrives to tell her son how proud she is of him. He admits he worried that his designs wouldn’t be good enough but now he feels like he and Hope never fell out of synch.
Carter goes on about the magic of Rome. Ridge says his son and Hope will be making history.
Thomas recalls it wasn’t so long ago that he was kicked out of the company. Carter reminds him of all the progress he’s made.
Taylor reminds her son that he saved the line. Carter urges him to get some rest because he has a load of meetings coming up.
After he exits, Taylor and Ridge tell their son how great he’s doing. He notices they have been giving each other looks and asks what’s going on.
His father says the trip to Rome is big and they are worried about Hope. Thomas is confused so they explain there’s been talk she has feelings for him. He doesn’t think they can be serious.
His parents explain that Steffy has suspicions. Thomas dismisses that as paranoia.
They know how hard he’s worked and they don’t want anyone to jeopardize that. He insists that he and Hope just work together and are co-parents.
His mom asks if Hope has done anything to lead him on. He has some flashbacks to their recent close moments and avoids answering.
After Thomas exits, Ridge and Taylor joke about their sexy voices and then worry that Steffy might be right about Hope. They need to believe their son when he says there is no reason to worry. But they also need to keep their eyes open.

At the cabin, Hope tells Liam about all the hype for the Rome show already. He tells her she just needs to be herself and prepare for all the orders coming her way.
After a hug, she notices he has something on his mind. It’s Thomas.
Neither of them want to fight. She can understand why he’s concerned but thinks he should trust her judgement with Thomas.
He needs her to acknowledge what Thomas is capable of and insists the other man doesn’t need to be there with her.
She points out he’s the designer and they are usually at their shows. He continues to worry that Thomas will use this to manipulate her.
His wife can’t keep having this conversation. She tried other designers and it failed.
Liam keeps repeating she doesn’t need Thomas, just his designs. Hope doesn’t want to hurt him, but she refuses not to take her designer.
He’s trying but this is eating him up. She stops him from listing everything that’s happened and insists that Thomas has been a consummate professional. Liam thinks that’s all a game.
She’s not about to tell Ridge his own son can’t come. And she doesn’t want to. Thomas is going.
Her husband is at a loss. She doesn’t need his protection, just his trust.
“Trouble is brewing. It’s brewing,” he insists. She needs to go to work and walks out, leaving him frazzled.
He paces and flashes back to the moments he’s caught his wife with the other man and all their fights about this.
When Hope gets to work, she peeks into Thomas’ office and flashes back to her sex fantasies about him.
After she walks in, he babbles about the trip until he notices she looks worried. She tells him about her latest fight with Liam.
That’s no surprise to him. She insists that she knows who he is better than Liam does and they make a great team.
She told Liam that he’s her lead designer and it’s his collection too. That means a lot to him given how many mistakes he’s made in the past. He says they will prove to Liam that that’s all in the past. This trip could change their lives.
As he gets back to sketching, the idea of her life changing echoes in her head.
