In the Thursday, October 20, 2022, full episode recap of CBS’ Bold and the Beautiful, Deacon vents about Bill to Sheila, Steffy and Hope argue about their moms, and Carter calls for help.
We also have Wednesday’s B&B recap where Ridge and Taylor’s reunion and Quinn’s exit sent shockwaves through Forrester, and Bill warned Deacon that Brooke is his.
At Forrester Creations, Steffy defends her mother to Hope, who repeats that Ridge will always love Brooke, no matter how inconvenient that may be to Taylor.
Steffy is sure that Brooke is devastated but she watched her mom being heartbroken for years. Hope accuses her of condoning the destruction of a marriage.
Steffy insists that her father knows his own hear and it is fully with her mom. She repeats that Brooke is incapable of letting happiness last.
She feels bad for Brooke never being able to learn from her mistakes. At least Ridge is learning to make his own decisions. Steffy just wants to focus on the joy now possible for her family.
Hope still wants to know why her mom’s marriage randomly ended. Steffy is sure this was a longer process. Her parents have finally found peace and love and Hope and Brooke better get that through their heads.
Steffy repeats that her family is whole again and it is a wonderful time for the Forresters.
Carter is in Katie’s office. He’s feeling humiliated by publicly announcing to his colleagues that Quinn left him. She reminds him they are also his friends.
Carter has been thinking of asking Justin to tap into his old ways and dig her up. He didn’t want to put him in that position though so made some calls himself.
Katie thinks he’s better off without Quinn. She’s surprised when Shauna swans in. He called her to see if she had any clues about where his ex vanished to.
Shauna tells him how bad she feels for him. She explains that regardless of what he may have claimed about not wanting a family, she knew deep down he felt otherwise.
Shauna senses there is more to this than Quinn is letting on. She’s used to her being erratic and cutting out but Carter deserves better. She urges him not to spend much time trying to figure this out.
“When something is over for her, it’s over,” she says.
Katie sides with Shauna and encourages him to move on. Shauna tells him a lady will make him forget all about Quinn in no time.
After Shauna leaves, Carter wonders to Katie if she picked up on how he feels about her. She’s been so supportive. He takes Katie’s hand.

B&B opinion: Predictable writing for Thomas
At home, Brooke calls and leaves another message for Ridge.
When the door opens, she hopes it is him but it’s only Liam.
She’s starting to worry that the more time goes by, the more unlikely it is that he will return.
Stroking a picture of him, she hopes it’s not the end.
It means a lot to her to have Liam and Hope in her corner.
He promises to always have her back.
Brooke just wants her husband back.
They have a life together and it was promising until something mysterious happened to upend their lives.
She can’t understand why Ridge told her to, “Just say it.”
Liam suggests she ask him what he meant. Brooke knows that.
She blames all of this on Steffy and Taylor and vows she will get Ridge back.
At Deacon’s, he rants to Sheila about how much Bill gets under his skin.
She assures him that Bill is not better than him.
They chat about the end of Ridge and Brooke.
She looks concerned as he drinks and talks about how Brooke deserves someone better than Bill.
He stands up for Brooke when she gets snarky about her.
She hates to agree with Bill, but he’s right about Deacon having no future with the Logan.
Deacon suggests she’s jealous. Sheila laughs.
He thinks it’s sexy that Brooke has never been charged with attempted murder.
Sheila points out he certainly seems to think she has sex appeal given that they’ve had sex on every surface of the apartment.
She doubts he’s ever had such heat with “whatshername.” They make out.
He goes back to venting about Bill and why Brooke should avoid him.
He says that if Bill hurts her, he hurts Hope too.
Sheila tells him no amount of chivalry is going to help him win Lady Logan.
She belongs to Ridge whether he wants her or not.
