General Hospital recap for Thursday, October 20, 2022. In today’s GH episode, Martin learns Lucy is suspected dead, Curtis asks Sonny about genetic testing, Rory senses Trina is reluctant to go away with him, and Marshall gives Epiphany a pep talk for the MCATs.
We also have Wednesday’s GH recap where Lucy went missing and washed up somewhere else after being shot, and Cyrus saved Spencer again.
On the Metro Court patio, Nina tries to wave Sonny off to work. After he leaves to take a call, she spots Olivia and suggests she take some time off so she can look after the place.
Standing up, Olivia commends her for the way she handled Brando’s memorial… but she thinks Nina should let her buy her out before things get nasty.
Olivia will never be able to trust her and that means they can’t work together. She hurt everyone who cares about Sonny, including her.
Nina refuses and says she’s stuck with her. Sonny returns and Liv takes off. Nina explains her fight with Olivia.
At a table, Portia and Curtis are chatting about weddings until they notice TJ is distracted by his phone. He just sent Willow a text asking if she’s okay since her run-in with Nina.
Portia takes off to wish Epiphany good luck.
TJ smiles and says he’s thankful about how things have turned out for their family. Curtis can see now hard it was for his father to leave.
TJ tells him how things have changed with mental illness since the 60s and then asks if he’s considered having children with Portia.
Curtis flashes back to thinking about being genetically tested.
Sonny and Nina interrupt. Curtis asks to speak to him in private and they cross the patio.
Curtis asks him about genetic testing. He made a decision about not investigating risk factors that could affect him and is now questioning it.
Sonny explains not knowing or knowing won’t change the outcome. Curtis isn’t worried about himself but about the future of his family.
Meanwhile, Nina apologizes to TJ if she was out of line when she brought up rumors that he and Willow are having an affair. She asks what’s really happening.
The doctor tells her this is none of her business. Sonny returns and announces Curtis had to leave. TJ immediately exits. Sonny wonders what was going on between her and TJ.

Kelly Thiebaud exits and the latest GH comings and goings
Victor stops by the PCPD to answer some questions. He heads to the interrogation room to wait for his lawyer.
Dante, Robert, Jordan, and Anna vent about Victor. Jordan takes Anna aside and reminds her that she’s given her space to dig into Victor. She’s worried her vendetta could be clouding her judgement.
Anna thinks Victor could have murdered Lucy. She explains Coe’s role in her plot and how it might have cost her her life. The coast guard calls Jordan to announce it is no longer a search and rescue operation.
Martin arrives and Dante tells him that Lucy has disappeared and there were signs of foul play. Anna and Jordan join them and explain Lucy is now presumed dead.
Martin refuses to accept that. When he spots Victor, he asks what he has to do with this. Robert leads him out. Martin is determined to make whoever did this pay dearly. Dante walks off to call Scott.
Anna barges into the interrogation room and tells Victor she will make it her business to destroy him. He smiles.
When his lawyer arrives, she hopes they were not trying to coerce a confession. She leads her client out to get water. He assures her Robert and the others will soon be distracted.
Jordan tells Anna that the state was using a drone to shoot footage of the water and they may have caught something useful.
Martin and Anna are left alone, and he blames her for what’s happened to Lucy. He senses there is more to this than she’s willing to tell him and wants to know why.
After she assures him she will get justice for Lucy, Jordan brings them the drone footage. They see Lucy shot and fall in the water by a woman who looks just like Anna.
Trina stops by to see Rory. He tells her how busy things have been. She wonders if he needs to postpone their getaway.
That’s the furthest thing from his mind but he wonders if she’s doubting going away with him. Going to a comic convention was never on her bucket list, but she’s sure he can teach her why he’s so passionate about them.
When he finishes his shift and announces they can go, she looks disappointed.
A woman washes up on the shore and wanders into the woods. She makes her way to the Quartermaine boat house.
At the Quartermaine estate, Willow tells Michael that Terry gave her some time off.
They find Ned leaving annoyed messages for Valentin.
Michael starts sniping about Ned’s relationship with the Cassadine. They bicker about business until Olivia shows up. As they rail at each other, Willow gets faint.
She needs some air and goes outside. Olivia lectures the two men about backstabbing and the importance of family.
Willow spots wet footsetps leading in and follows them. She expects it’s Brook Lynn and screams when she finds someone else inside.
She runs to the house and tells them she thinks the hook could be in the boat house. They call the cops.
When they head to the boat house, Michael kicks the door open and Olivia screams at what she sees.
They shut the door again and wait for the cops. When Robert arrives, Olivia tells him he needs to prepare himself for what he’s about to see.
When he enters, he gasps to see it’s Holly.
Marshall stops by General Hospital with a rose to wish Epiphany good luck on the MCATS. She warns that if she crashes, she will be holding him personally responsible.
He’s confused. Angrily, she reminds him that he encouraged her to pursue this. He’s glad he did.
She was happy and liked the road she was on. Now she’s at a fork in the road. After telling herself for years that she would be a great doctor, she’s now faced with the possibility that dream could end. She’ll just be a failure.
He suggests she focus this energy on her test and possible career. After he gives her a pep talk, she thanks him but still worries about failing.
Marshall tells her that trying is brave and courageous. He’s proud of her. Portia rushes over to wish her luck.
Epiphany gives Marshall a kiss and leaves. He looks shocked and then claims he’s a jazz musician so he gets kissed all the time.
Portia wonders if he and Epiphany are getting serious. She thinks they are good for each other. He tells her how supportive the nurse has been and is glad he was open about his diagnosis. You can’t live with a huge secret.
Curtis shows up to see Portia and his father. He tells them he has changed his mind and wants to explore genetic counseling. She forces a smile.
Epiphany writes her MCATs.
