Days of our Lives Peacock recap for Thursday, October 21, 2022 has Ava settting her sights on Gwen and then EJ to help with revenge, while EJ tightens security at DE.
In the last Days recap, Stefan & Gabi Sign Divorce Papers and Gwen Refuses to Help Ava Take Down EJ, so Ava Sets Her Sights on Someone Else
At the hospital hub, Jack refuses to give Xander a job. Xander gets it.
He’s not good enough. He gets down on himself and calls it a stupid idea but Jack says this is about Gwen.
She’ll be working at the paper and he’s not sure Gwen is over Xander. He’s trying to be supportive.
He tries to give Xander money but Xandy says he’ll be fine.
Ava visits Gwen in her room.
“I’ve been banished from Salem from EJ DiMera.”
Gwen agrees to keep quiet.
Ava admits to the fraud and shows her the engagement ring.
That bothers Gwen since it’s the same ring Xander proposed to her with.
Ava asks Gwen to help her get back at EJ by cozying up to him.
Gwen won’t do it. Ava begs. She can’t do it on her own or she would.
“What do you have to lose?” She asks.
She says her dad gave her a job at the paper. She doesn’t want to cock this up.
She turns Ava down for the last time, but she’s rooting for her to make EJ pay.
Outside Julie’s Place, Tripp talks to Wendy about EJ forcing his mama to leave town.
He admits to hitting EJ and she makes an MMA joke.
They bond over liking MMA and he admits that her brother defended him.
Wendy realizes her brother cares about her but he doesn’t take her seriously.
She talks about wanting a transfer to Salem.
She thinks her brother refuses to do it because she’ll show Li up. They agree it’s sexist.
Tripp talks about being the Knight in Shining Armour and she says she finds it hot.
She checks out his hand. Joey strolls up.
He and Wendy hug and he invites her to stay with them while she’s in Salem.
He holds her hand and Tripp smirks. They discuss Ava’s disappearance.
Joey wants to stay in Salem longer suddenly. They argue about which room Wendy will stay in.
Rooming with Joey or Stephanie.
Wendy decides she’ll find her own rooming and since she has work to do, she kissed their cheeks and sends them away.
PeacockAs Johnny snoops in his dad’s room for passwords, EJ catches him. Johnny quickly covers.
He says that he came to apologize about Ava.
He realizes now she was a scammer and feels like an idiot for buying her act.
EJ thinks his son is lying — playing him. Johnny lies that he came around.
He says he also thinks it’s time he grew up and learn about the family business.
He goes on EJ’s computer and says it’s locked. “What’s your password?” EJ almost logs on when he decides not to hire him.
“You’re an artist,” he says. He wants his son to follow his dreams.
Johnny thinks he’s right. After he leaves, EJ calls IT and gets them to step up security just in case there’s a threat.

Li finds Stefan in his room at Salem Inn with Gabi. She says he delivered divorce papers.
Stefan claims he ran into his divorce lawyer on his way out of the meeting.
Once he signs, they’ll be free to live happily ever after. Stefan signs and says he can’t wait to be rid of Gabi.
Gabi retorts that he might be alive now but she’s dead to him.
She signs and Li witnesses.
Stefan takes off, leaving Gabi petulant and hurt.
Li asks how she’s doing. She shrugs off her feelings.
Li says he’s biding time at work until he gets rid of the DiMera’s. “Shin-Hernandez Enterprises.”
Gabi corrects him. “Hernandez-Shin. I like to be on top.”
Li grins. “Oh, believe me. I know.” They start making out and wind up in bed having sex.
Afterward, she tells him he should hire his sister since she’s a “rock star.”
Back at the hospital, Jack returns to Gwen’s room and she vows not to be a thorn in his side again.
She tears up as she tells her dad she wants to make him proud of her.
By the hub, Ava wonders who she can get to help her take EJ down.
Xander strolls by on a call with Phyllis, the manager of Salem Inn.
He charms the woman as he tries to get her to come up with a payment plan so she doesn’t start legal action against him.
He leaves and gives Ava an idea.
At the pub, Joey and Tripp talk about their mothers and then how amazing Wendy is.
They drink “to Wendy picking the best Johnson,” and Tripp winces.
“You know what I mean,” Joey says.
Outside of Julie’s Place, Wendy gets a text from Li. She got the job!
Johnny congratulates her and she talks about working together.
Stefan returns to the office and EJ congratulates him on his divorce.
Stefan seems torn between smiling and looking upset as EJ’s happy the woman is out of his life for good.
