What comes around goes around.
In my opinion, the week of February 7th -February 11th on the Bold and the Beautiful has arguably contained the most drama on the show since Steffy’s one-night stand with Liam on November 30, 2020 and subsequent who’s the daddy storyline with Liam and Finn as contenders for the father of her kid.
Armed with the knowledge that Brooke and Deacon kissed on New Year’s Eve, Steffy confronted Brooke in an intense, yet cryptic exchange (Steffy never blatantly said that she knew what happened on New Year’s Eve—just that Brooke wasn’t good enough for her father, Ridge).
Steffy accosting Brooke was Brooke’s karma.
Rewind
It’s important to rewind back to 2018. Steffy wanted to reconcile with Liam after Liam discovered her one-night stand with his father, Bill. Brooke didn’t care about Steffy and Liam reconciling despite parading around as the doting stepmother to Steffy.
Instead, Brooke encouraged her daughter Hope to fight for Liam both during Steffy’s pregnancy with Kelly and after Kelly’s birth.
Brooke didn’t respect Steffy’s marriage or relationship with Liam, yet Brooke was outraged this week when Steffy ripped into her. And that reinforces the biggest problem with Brooke Logan—she’s a self-righteous hypocrite…
Paragon of Virtue
Brooke constantly behaves as if she’s the paragon of virtue, yet her past is scandalous. She’s a serial homewrecker with a history of breaking up couples and families such as Stephanie and Eric (Steffy’s grandparents), Ridge and Taylor (Steffy’s parents), Hope and Oliver, Katie (her own sister) and Bill, Bridgette (her other daughter) and Deacon, for example.
Because of this, Brooke will never be a legitimate heroine. Brooke’s messy past proves she’s the last person who should judge anyone.

Arrogance
Brooke’s arrogance is another quality, which reinforces her self-righteous hypocrisy. Brooke sought out Taylor upon Taylor’s return to town a couple of months ago under the guise of wanting to be friends, yet made a comment about “winning” and “losing” in respect to how she (Brooke) and Hope ended up with Ridge and Liam while Taylor and Steffy didn’t.
Doesn’t sound like the behavior of someone who wants to let “bygones be bygones.” If anything, Brooke’s jab illustrates how Brooke and Hope don’t want the Logan vs Forrester rivalry to resume so long as things work out in their favor, by continuing to be with Ridge and Liam.
Viewers also see Brooke’s atrocious behavior when Steffy alluded to Brooke’s smugness in her conversation with Brooke this week, and Steffy is right—and in more ways than Steffy realizes. During Episode 7977 of B&B, Taylor and Brooke had a heated exchange over their past.
Brooke implied Liam should spend less time with Steffy and Kelly once Hope had her baby a baby that only exists because Hope slept with Liam when Steffy was trying to reconcile with Liam.
During Taylor and Brooke’s fight, Brooke smirked a couple of times. So, Brooke isn’t the decent person she desperately tries to get people to believe she is. A “good” person wouldn’t be amused when serious criticisms are mentioned.
Viewers further see Brooke’s hypocrisy with how it’s okay for Brooke to advocate for Hope, yet it’s not okay for Taylor to advocate for her daughter.
The Logan Show
The unfairness with the heavy-handed writing favoring Brooke and Hope compared to Taylor and Steffy illustrates a larger problem. For the last four years, Brooke and Hope have been getting all the wins while Taylor and Steffy have been getting crumbs.
Well, it’s time for the dynamics to be flipped. Taylor and Steffy deserve to be on top while Brooke and Hope beg for crumbs. The Bold and the Beautiful can only be “The Logan Show” for so long.
Steffy confronting Brooke and Ridge uncovering the truth about Deacon and Brooke’s New Year’s Eve kiss was much-needed drama, and that same energy must continue for the show to be “must see TV.”
Shake The Couples Up
And that’s why Bridge (Brooke and Ridge) shouldn’t be the only couple shaken up. Bridge isn’t the only couple Bold pushed for too long. The same can be said for Lope (Hope and Liam) and Sinn (Steffy and Finn).
For years, Steam (Steffy and Liam) brought the chemistry to CBS soap, but that changed when Hope returned to the show in January 2018.
Unfortunately, Lope and Sinn have zero chemistry. With Hope, Liam is a shell of his former self and doesn’t have the same energy with Hope that he does in scenes with Steffy. Whereas with Sinn, that ship is fanservice. Sinn only exists to pacify those who wanted an end to the Steffy/Liam/Hope triangle.
Finn has been nothing but boring since his arrival on the show when B&B returned from its COVID hiatus in late July 2020. Finn’s entire personality is defined by being “not Liam,” and that’s why he’ll never be likable to many of the viewers. Finn lacks any real depth.
So, hey. If Tridge (Taylor and Ridge) have been getting closer since Taylor returned to town can be revisited after all these years, then the show should circle back to Steffy and Liam. Because that’s the thing about a soap opera. You just never know what’ll happen next.
