Fri Oct 6, Y&R day ahead recap: The vow renewal goes off with out a hitch for a while with speeches and chatter until Tucker orders Audra to gate crash and then he himself crashes with a present.
Thursday’s Y&R day ahead: Jack and Diane Welcome Their Guests to the Reception, and Tucker Orders Audra to Rekindle Things with Kyle

Nate and Mamie catch up and Traci appears for a hug.
The women think Jack’s found what he’s looking for.
Mamie says if it’s true, it’s a glorious day.
Jack gives a speech, thanking everyone for coming and explains that they’re going to renew their vows.
Everyone claps but Nikki purses her lips and says, “How fun.”
She attempts a slow clap. Kyle appears at his parents’ side and starts the process.
Kyle talks about their many friends, family and wedding crashers who are helping them renew their vows.
Jack tells Diane how lucky and blessed he is to have found his way back to her.
Devon kisses Abby and Kyle and Summer share a glance.
Jack tells Diane he’ll love her forever with all his heart. Diane’s touched to tears and tells him he’s patient and compassionate.
She’s grateful for his love and will be there for him every day, every moment for as long as he will have her.
When Kyle asks, both Diane and Jack say their I dos.
Kyle pronounces them “man and wife.”
Everyone claps, Billy downs some champagne and the couple has a passionate kiss.
Congratulations are given and Nikki tells Claire who Traci is.
Claire loves Traci’s novels and Nikki calls her an even better human being.
Mamie connects with Jack and says he has a twinkle in his eye.
He’s on top of the world. Nikki tells Claire who Mamie is and then Nate greets Jack and Nikki whispers who he is to her assistant.
Devon congratulates the happy couple with Abby and Nikki explains who he is.
Nate takes a table with Mamie who tells him she feels blessed with a rich family and the capacity to fill the love in her heart.
Abby goes to Jack and Diane with support. Diane is grateful for her support, especially because of her mom.
Abby’s sad the blow-up kept her from being there.
Diane’s glad things are better but she is sure Ashley would have mostly tolerated her, not celebrated this union.
Kyle finds Summer. Harrison’s fever is down.
Summer says he was so sad to miss the wedding.
They agree things are going well. She jokes that he should have a side hustle with marrying people.
She spots Chance and excuses herself. Before she goes, Kyle eyes her and thinks she looks great.
She agrees he does as well.
Later, Chance tells her he starts officially on the job and has a presser to do.
She knows he’ll be doing that a lot.
He’s feeling a little strange being behind a desk and not in the field. It has him second-guessing himself.
She’s glad he’s not in the field.
She wouldn’t want anything happening to her new friend.
As they talk, Nikki tells Claire who Chance is and corrects her when she assumes Summer’s his girlfriend.
She thinks there’s hope for Kyle and Summer.
Claire calls her a romantic.
By the doors, Abby stops Sharon and asks her about how things are between her and Chance.
Sharon says they’re having a lot of fun and takes off to talk to Chance and Summer.
She gushes. “This is so much fun!”
Nikki makes her way to Diane and congratulates her.
She’s accepted that Jack’s with her and says Victor sends his regrets.
She warns that if she hurts Jack, she’ll make her life a living hell.”
And there are many others who will help me.” Diane smiles.
She expects that but promises that won’t happen.
“I hope that’s true. For Jack’s sake…and yours,” she says.
Diane’s smile fades and she gulps back champagne.
Later, Diane thanks Kyle for marrying her and Jack and thinks he and Summer looked cozy.
He shrugs. That was co-parenting.
At Mamie’s table, Nate and Devon talk about how Chancellor-Winters is now a family business.
They’re all happy about this. Devon is glad Dom will get to know his great-aunt. Mamie wants to ensure that her two nephews will reunite and stop the shenanigans.
Traci gets up to give a speech after everyone has eaten. She chokes up as she tells the room that she felt her parents there with them this evening. She hopes their incredible love will fill this house.
Everyone drinks to that. Abby has a turn. She sees the love in their eyes and is happy for them.
Mamie gets up and says she’s not sure people are destined to be together but when love is real and strong it’ll find a way. Like theirs. They lift their glasses to that.
Tucker lets Audra into his room at GCAC.
She barks that he can’t just send her a text to reunite with Kyle without explanation.
He didn’t think he’d need to give her instructions on how to do it.
She just wants to know why. She isn’t sure she likes it.
He reminds her he liked it when he walked in on them before.
She knows he doesn’t care what’s in it for her and asks what’s in it for him. He tells her to just do what he wants but she doesn’t like taking orders.
He says to follow her bliss and she counters that Kyle was never part of the plan.
He thinks she should keep her eye on the prize.
She’ll be running Jabot and he’ll advise her. He calls Kyle a tool — a means to an end.
She’s more concerned that this feels like a desperate act than a team B.
She’s not even sure he can pull it off. He’s hurt by her lack of faith in him.
She’s not doubting him. Just the plan. They complain about Adam.
Audra thinks he should leave the Abbotts alone and give it up.
Tucker’s surprised she has lasted this long, especially with how Nikki feels about her.
Tucker thinks she needs allies. “You’re gonna do what I ask you to do,” he says, calling her a survivor.
He tells her to get ready for a garden party. “At the Abbott’s,” she says.
He jokes at how magical it will be. She rolls her eyes and has doubts they will let her in.
He convinces her.
Nikki decides it’s her turn. She says sometimes it takes more than one try to make it work.
She should know. She says there are reasons why people find their way back to each other, despite interference from well-meaning individuals.
She says, “Jack and Diane, my sincerest congratulations.”

Everyone drinks. A guard appears and takes Jack away, causing everyone to watch in interest.
Billy follows and they find Tucker in the living room with a present.
Jack’s disgusted and tells Tucker to go. He says he comes in peace.
Back outside, Audra wanders in and sees Kyle.
She flashes back to talking to him about her firing him and how he was surprised at how fast she was able to turn off her feelings for him.
Nikki introduces Claire to Traci and Claire is pretty excited to meet her.
Nate goes to Devon to try to move on and Devon has forgiven him but he hasn’t forgotten.
Abby wants no part of the animosity.
Nate says Mamie’s heart is in the right place but he’s happy being at Newman.
It’s not like Mamie can offer him a job anyway.
If he even wanted one. Devon nods and Mamie watches the men.
Devon and Abby head inside and find Tucker with Billy and Jack.
Devon asks why his dad’s there.
He says it’s to make peace and apologize.
Outside, Mamie tells Diane that Jack’s like a son to her.
She goes to powder her nose when Nate approaches and Audra stands around drinking, looking bored.
Nikki is shocked to find her there.
Was she even invited? She says Kyle invited her.
He’s having a hard time letting go, just like Nikki said.
Nikki crosses her arms and Audra says she likes being with Kyle.
If she can’t accept it, they have a problem. Claire watches nearby.
Mamie goes inside as Tucker is in the midst of telling everyone that he was angry the last time he was there because his marriage imploded but he’s calmed down.
Jack doesn’t give a care. “Get the hell out of my house,” he says.
