Mon Oct 9 recap of B&B: RJ gets closer to Luna, Finn digests the news that Sheila’s marrying Deacon and Brooke fishes for information from Hope about how things are going with Thomas.
Friday’s B&B recap: Deacon and Sheila Reveal Their Engagement to Finn, and Luna’s Mom Calls and Insists Aunt Li Won’t Like Her at Forrester
At Il Giardino, Finn learns Deacon and Sheila are engaged.
“This can’t be happening,” Finn says.
Deacon tells him that they are in love.
Sheila says this is a first for her that someone loves her for who she is.
Deacon insists she’s changed and he hopes Deacon can believe it.
Finn shakes his head.
Sheila says Deacon’s love changed her and she hopes he can see it and be happy for them.
She has a lot of love to give and wants to share it with him if he’ll let her.
Finn’s angry that they pulled this and all he can think about is that his wife left because of her.
He gets up and tells her if she truly loves him, he should leave Los Angeles.
“Go back to Genoa City.”
If she stays, she’ll cost him the one thing he cares about in this world.
His wife and children. Sheila and Deacon are stricken. Deacon expected him to listen with an open mind. He’s been taking people in at his job who want to change.
He knows Sheila’s changed. He calls himself a black belt in Karate and can control her.
Finn scoffs. Hope won’t listen to this with an open mind, either.
Deacon knows everyone is going to be shocked by this relationship but he believes in redemption.
Hope gave him a second chance, after all. Can’t Finn do that?

Daily B&B spoilers into October
At Forrester, RJ notices Luna’s not in a good mood after her call with her mother.
She tries to play it down and says it has nothing to do with work.
RJ badgers her to tell him. She won’t. He says if she’s upset, this upsets him.
He’s not trying to pry he says. She calls him welcoming.
He wants her to feel safe and comfortable. “You make me feel safe,” she says.
He calls her stylish, smart and a little funny.
She laughs and asks him to keep going. He calls her really beautiful.
She talks about how passionate everyone is there.
He talks about how his grandpa wanted Forrester to be a place where creative people grow. Luna thinks he’s proud of him.
RJ doesn’t think he’s done much yet but Luna says he takes care of him.
Luna calls him kind and sincere. She’s always loved fashion and the best part is working with him.
He acts coy. She calls his designs amazing. He’d like to see her in one.
She calls him hot and giggles. He’s cherishing time spent with his grandpa but is really glad he’s working there now because of her.
She looks at the dresses as he tells her he was lacking direction when he first returned to LA. He was struggling to find his calling and then he met her.
She giggles. He calls her passion inspiring. When he designs, he thinks about her.
He’s traveled far and wide and has never met anyone like her. She’s “special and magical and mysterious.”
In the design office, Brooke fishes for information about Hope’s involvement with Thomas.
Hope tells her that Finn sees things Brooke’s way, too, that she deserves better than Thomas.
Hope’s quick to tell her that he doesn’t know about anything except the kiss in Rome.
She says it was nice. He’s a good man and they haven’t talked much.
“He is aware of Thomas’ complicated history” and decided to make it known that she deserves someone better than him.
Brooke’s impressed. She agrees but asks if Hope thinks Finn’s right.
She thinks about that and calls him a remarkable man.
A good listener, insightful and kind. Steffy’s lucky to have him as her husband.
Sheila and Deacon return home and consider Finn’s words.
Later, Hope’s working in the CEO office when Finn drops by.
She lets him know she told her mom a little about their conversation.
He says they’ve a lot in common, especially about their parents.
Finn asks if she knows what he’s saying. “Like, do you know?”
She asks what she’s supposed to know and he stares.
