In this episode of Young and the Restless, Adam is tasked with telling Sally the baby died, and Chance disarms the bombs while Nick later is told to get to the hospital since Sally was taken there, earlier.
In the previous episode, Sally lost the baby and Cameron was killed.

In the tunnel, Chance checks Cameron for a pulse. He has none.
Faith begs Chance to get the bombs off of her but he says not to touch them. They could blow.
Nick and Sharon step aside and Chance has a look. She didn’t know it was on.
Cameron must have put it on when she was knocked out. It’s wireless he says.
The explosives need to be deactivated one by one. Nick asks if Chance can do it. He had some training in the military. He gets a tool from somewhere nearby and Nick turns on a flashlight.
Chance knows it’s scary but asks her to stay still. She trusts him.
It’s obvious that Chance is nervous so Sharon tells him this is nothing like when the bomb went off during his mission in Spain, killing his team. Chance cuts the red wire and nothing happens.
They’re glad but Faith tells her parents she loves them. He wonders if this is a pattern or if Cameron switched things up.
He clips the black wire and Nick moves with him for light. Nick tries some dad jokes that don’t go over. He tells them Sally’s daughter is coming soon and she’ll look up to her more than Christian does.
Faith’s happy about that. Sharon knows she’ll be a lucky girl. Nick is looking forward to spoiling her.
Chance finally finishes deactivating all bombs and removes the belt. Nick and Sharon hug their girl.
Sharon asks if he’s going to arrest her for killing Cameron but Chance saw the whole thing. Cameron attacked her and she reacted in self-defense. He didn’t have a clear shot and says not to question if she did the right thing as Sharon stares at the body.
She’s grateful for Nick for taping the little knife to her thigh.
They head home while Chance takes care of Cameron.
“I should leave you down here with the rats,” he says before he tells the cops on his walkie to get down there to lock up the crime scene and move the body.
At the hospital, Sally wakes up. She asks what happened. “Did I pass out?” Adam is nervous as he tells Sally she needs to rest. This scares Sally who asks if their baby is okay.
Adam looks morose and tears up. She says she clearly had a c-section and wants to know what’s going on. “It’s my body!”
Adam struggles as he tells her they induced labor and she lost consciousness so they had to make a decision to do a c-section. It was early. “She must be tiny,” Sally says with a smile.
Adam grimaces and tells her that during the surgery there was a complication. She cries, knowing what’s coming but she tells him preemies thrive all the time.
She’s got her spirit. She’s a Spectra and a Newman. Adam shakes his head and cries, “She didn’t make it. I’m so sorry.”
She whispers that it can’t be true. Adam’s sorry it is. Their baby is gone.
He moves to hug her but she yells that they were talking baby names. How can it be over? She wasn’t even awake.
She sobs and he knows it seems like a bad dream. She groans that it’s not real and squirms in pain as she tries to sit up. She yells that rest didn’t help. She doesn’t get it.
She did everything she was supposed to do.
She thinks if she was awake, she could have fought harder. Adam yells to stop. “You did nothing wrong,” he says.
She cries and asks then why is her little girl gone? She shrugs him off as he tries to comfort her.
She asks for Nick but Adam says he’s not there. She thinks he was so selfish that he pushed Nick away out of competition.
Adam says he called Nick, left messages and called their father to find him.
Sally insists something must be wrong then. Adam says his battery might be dead.
“He’s with his real family,” Sally says but Adam says he’s dealing with the Cameron situation. He shows up when he’s needed and Adam promises, “He will be here for you.”
Elena appears and gives Sally her deepest sympathy. Sally’s heard it so many times and calls it inadequate.
Elena understands words aren’t comforting. Sally’s sorry. She appreciated all that Elena has done.
Elena knows she’s in shock and asks how she feels. She has no idea. Numb.
Nothing seems real. Adam steps out so Elena can talk to her patient alone. Once he’s gone, she asks if there was nothing Elena could to do save her baby. Sally feels like an anvil is sitting on her chest.
Elena says it will intensify before it gets better. Her grief and hormones plummeting will mean it’ll take weeks or months to feel like herself. She urges Sally to accept all the support she can.
Sally asks what she did wrong and Elena says nothing. This wasn’t her fault.
Sally feels she’s failed but Elena promises she did nothing wrong and wishes she could take that feeling from her.
Even if she was awake in delivery, she couldn’t have saved her. It was a high-risk situation.
It’s why there was no time to reach out to next of kin which is why Adam had to make a choice.
Sally’s confused and learns that Adam had to decide over her or the baby. Sally’s rocked he had a choice.
Adam stands outside Sally’s room, looking pensive.

In their suite at GCAC, Victoria and Nate cuddle in bed.
He says he needs fewer after-work sessions because he has a lot on his plate.
She tells him he’ll be weighing in on all things Newman soon.
He likes that. She asks if he finds her too distracting and he kisses her in response.
They have sex and then later, she drinks water and thinks about how Nick and Sharon must be going out of their minds about Kirsten.
She hopes Nick doesn’t fly off the handle again and make things worse.
Nate says they gotta catch this guy and bring him to justice.
She hopes that happens. They embrace and Nate vows that he’s there for her. She feels better already but Nate feels useless.
She tries hard not to worry but inevitably it creeps in and she knows Cameron is a wild card.
Since she can’t sleep, Nate suggests a “nightcap” down in the lounge.
Back at Sharon’s house, Victor is there to comfort Faith. He’d have been in the swear with them but the police wouldn’t allow it.
He goes to call Nikki from outside, knowing she’s worried.
Sharon asks if Faith wants water or food. Nick offers to get pizza and Faith says she’s not hungry.
Sharon will make soup and a grilled cheese sandwich. Nick wants to make it but Faith just wants her parents.
They all go over the events and how they feel about it. Nick worries about how Sharon feels having had to kill Cameron.
She’s fine and thinks Faitih will need therapy.
Victor returns and the girls head upstairs while the guys talk. Victor’s glad Sharon killed the man.
Nick says he’ll stay with the women and Victor will put extra security around the house. He says Adam tried to reach him and asks him to call.
At the Athletic Club bar, Audra spots Nate and they discuss the personal issues Nick’s facing.
He says the situation is dangerous and the stalker from Sharon’s past is out of prison and terrorizing his family.
Victoria’s determined to get Nick to take time off. Audra’s shocked. How will he handle Nick if he replaces him? Nate shrugs. He’ll deal with it when it happens. She’ll have to step up too when it comes.
Is she having qualms? She denies it and is making sure he’s not having second thoughts. Victoria appears and watches the scheming.
Nick calls Adam and Adam asks where the hell he’s been all night and if Sharon and Faith are okay.
Nick says it’s been a night but they’re fine. Adam’s relieved and says he didn’t tell Sally what was going on.
Nick asks why he’s been calling. Adam says Sally’s okay but there’s been a development.
Can Nick get away? He hates leaving Sharon and Faith. Adam says he’s at the hospital with Sally. Sharon reappears and tells him to go to Sally.
They’ll be fine. Nick will get there as fast as he can. Elena returns to Adam and says this will not be easy. She asks how he’s doing. He lost a baby too. Adam says it seems unreal.
She will be there for them if they have questions or anything. She goes and he returns to Sally.
He tells her Nick is coming, just like he said he would.
She says, “How could you do this? How could you let our baby die?”
