General Hospital recap for Friday, June 16, 2023. In today’s GH episode, Cody asks Sam to help get dirt on Gladys, Sasha urges Willow to forgive Nina, and Michael asks Chase if he’s thought of having kids.
We also have Thursday’s GH recap where Nina prepared to confess to Sonny and Jordan asked Zeke to forget their romantic tryst.
In the common room at General Hospital, Finn is practicing his backgammon skills. Liz joins him and offers to help.
They play and he tells her about the game’s history. She teases him and calls him a nerd.
The nurse keep beating him. He asks how it feels to be facing her new position. She hopes she can do some good and bring healing to the hospital after losing Epiphany.
Finn thinks she’s the right person to do that. She keeps telling herself it’s not about her but the patients and staff.
She’s been linked to the hospital her whole life. The place has put her together more times than she can count. Liz recalls all the legends of the nurses’ station and wonders if she’s strong enough.
He tells her she may be the strongest of them all and says this is her destiny. He’s sorry he couldn’t join her celebration.
She missed him. He assures her they are friends.
They get back to playing backgammon and giggling. When she starts losing, she realizes she needs to get back to work.
He rolls two ones and says, “The tide is turning.”
Sasha visits Willow, who notices her eyes look a little red. Sasha admits she was crying because of Nina. They’re tears of joy.
Willow snarks about that. Sasha explains that there was a time when she and Nina were at odds but that has changed. Nina wrote her a wonderful letter of recommendation.
Sasha tells her about meeting with the psychiatrist for an evaluation. She adds how much Nina has helped her in her life when she had every reason to hate her.
Willow says Nina has put her through the wringer and some things can’t be forgiven. Her friend tells her of all the horrible things she’s done to people. She’s always been forgiven. It’s painful wanting to connect to someone you’ve wronged.
She reads the letter that Nina wrote about her. It’s all about not being judged for your past. Sasha says Nina’s capacity to forgive might be hereditary.
As they talk about new beginnings, Sasha remembers Cody saying he hopes she believes him some day.
Michael calls Dex and tells him it’s important to keep Sonny in the dark. He gets off the line as Chase shows up. He updates him on Willow’s condition.
The cop admits he’s trying to avoid Tracy. Michael says she’s not as bad as she seems. She’s extremely loyal to her family.
Chase asks how he’s holding up. Take a step, Michael says it’s all been a rollercoaster. He’s grateful they have a nanny but it breaks her heart to see how much Willow is missing.
Although he records everything on his phone, it’s not the same. This is time Willow will never get back. Chase is sure she will cherish the videos.
Michael knows that once Willow is released, they will have a lifetime to make memories. He wouldn’t trade being a father for anything and asks Chase if he ever thinks of having children.
Chase loves kids but they seem a long way off in the future. Michael tells him the future has a habit of catching up to you sooner than you think.
They get on the elevator and Chase tells him about BLQ taking him to a flea market. Michael is glad he’s giving her a moral compass and some grounding. They balance each other out.
They discuss how Ned is doing and Michael tells his friend he thinks he’d be a great dad.
BLQ and Tracy jog into Ned’s room. Olivia informs them that TJ is about to bring Ned out of his twilight sleep.
TJ urges them to be cautious. Olivia asks if there could be any lasting effects. TJ suggests they not get ahead of themselves.
As they sit and wait for him to wake up, Tracy complains, which leads to Olivia bickering with her. Ned comes to.
Olivia is thrilled and babbles. Tracy tells her to back off. His brain has already been deprived of enough oxygen.
TJ walks in, saying that was quick. He asks Ned if he knows why he’s there.
Ned says his head hurts and asks if he fell. Tracy asks what got him all fired up to run to the pool.
It’s all a bit fuzzy to Ned. He knows where he is and what year it is.
When TJ calls him Ned, Ned stops him. “My name is not Ned. It’s Eddie Maine,” he says.

Diane and Alexis arrive at Perks. Diane is annoyed they gave her Earl Gray. She starts complaining about the uncertainty with Robert. At least Holly has left town.
Olivia started prodding Robert for information about the SEC case. She’s starting to think they aren’t compatible.
They taunt each other about their taste in “bad boys.” Diane asks for her advice on a cryptocurrency client. All the evidence is digital so she doesn’t understand it.
Alexis advises her to dig into her client’s personal life. Diane thanks her for being so devious.
She assumes Alexis misses being a lawyer. They compare the positives and negatives and Alexis admits she misses arguing in court and the thrill of advocacy.
She can’t stand on the sidelines and watch. “You mean, like a reporter?” Diane asks.
Alexis believes in journalism but wishes she felt more fulfilled. There are so few stories she does that are impactful.
Clearing her throat, Diane brings up her having Esme on her team now. Alexis says that was just a favor to Laura. She was trying to provide some stability to prevent her from running off. Plus, she knows what it’s like to have a psychotic parent.
Diane is startled when she mentions that Gregory is back and on the editorial board. She tells Alexis they need to start exercising together. That sounds too hard to Alexis.
Cody calls Sam and tells her he needs her help exposing Gladys. Getting off the phone, he assures the horse that he won’t let anyone send him away easily.
Sam arrives and he tells her about meeting Tracy. She’s annoyed that he doesn’t have any real plan to deal with Gladys.
She asks Gladys’ motive for framing him and suggests he speak to Dante for help. It kills him Sasha doesn’t know who Gladys really is.
She wonders why Scott isn’t dealing with this. He tells her he’s looking after something else. When he adds that there was no surveillance footage that could clear him, she says there are other ways.
Sam calls Spinelli for help.
