Weds March 20, 2024: Today on Young and Restless, The Newmans support Claire as she struggles to connect with her new family and Claire has a dream in which she subconsciously considers how nothing bad would have happened to anyone in the family if Eve had never been kidnapped.
Tuesday’s recap: Jordan’s Life is in the Balance After She Ingests a Toxin and Summer Refuses to Accept Claire Into The Family

At the Newman ranch, Claire cries a little, thinking about what happened in the dungeon with Jordan.
She asks if her mother will stay.
She wants the three of them to be together. Nikki couldn’t agree more.
She makes tea and Victoria tells her mom they ran into Summer, Kyle and Harrison at Crimson Lights.
Nikki thinks that’s lucky.
Victoria tells her mom how wonderful her kid was with Harrison.
Nikki calls it a gift. Claire says it’s strange meeting her relatives as people, not news stories.
She both hated them and wanted them in their lives.
Jordan wanted her to only see the fights, crimes and divorces.
Nikki knows outsiders can never know exactly what goes on in people’s lives.
Claire admires them both.
She looks at their photo and says she grew up knowing she was related to them but not one of them.
She dreamed of being included and will always wonder what her life would have been like if she was included.
Nikki assures she’s part of them now and Jordan can’t take her away.
They all embrace. Nikki and Victoria go up to bed and Claire goes to sleep on the sofa.
Claire wakes up to Victor telling her it’s time for breakfast at the club.
The whole family is waiting for her. It’s her birthday. She’s confused.
He tells her they did this so many times.
They put her in the baby seat and put one pancake on her plate.
He has to go to the office for a bit but will see “Eve” soon. “Eve?”
Claire repeats. She leaves the living room and her photo is in the picture she looked at earlier.
Claire walks into the Athletic Club and Abby and Summer squeal and embrace her.
They’re glad she’s there early so they can have girl talk.
They talk about Cabo and how much fun they had.
They detail what they did and call her Eve and laugh about her dancing on the dance floor.
“You like me? I’m fun?” She asks. The “girlies” giggle and tell her to stop fishing.
She’s fun and beautiful, plus level headed. Claire is grateful.
Abby forgives her for being perfect. She talks about the straight As she got in boarding school.
Cole and Nick arrive. Cole hugs “Eve,” and the men talk about playing sports and they ask how Mexico was.
Summer jokes about Abby sleeping with her husband and how Eve got them back together.
Nick starts in on how perfect and incredible Eve is and then Cole gets on board about her natural leadership.
Abby orders drinks and the waitress is Jordan.
“Eve” looks horrified and the scene freezes. “Eve” closes her eyes and opens them and Jordan’s gone.
Cole talks about camping with Eve and cooking s’mores as she chased fireflies. Summer recalls when she caught the bouquet at one of Nikki and Victor’s weddings and Summer talks about her being the maid of honor at her wedding in Milan.
“Eve” is amazed at how much they recall of her life.
Abby says the Naked Heiress thing wouldn’t have happened without her.
“Eve” says she read about it and Summer is puzzled. She was there. She didn’t need to read about it.
Devon wanders in and they tell him they’re telling their favorite Eve stories. Devon recalls her coming to Dominic’s party in the park as a dinosaur.
They all wonder where the champagne is and Adam appears at the table. He’s the maître d’.
He asks if there’s a problem and Nick says there is now.
Eve asks if he works there and Adam belows about Nick turning him in to the police.
He says he was cleared on all charges but it ruined his career.
Abby says this has been good for the rest of them and Summer clears her throat and asks for the champagne.
Mariah turns up and then Cassie.
The twins embrace and “Eve” looks shocked that she’s alive.
Cassie wouldn’t have missed this for the world. She sits beside Mariah and Cassie talks about babysitting for Eve in highschool. Mariah jokmes about being in a cult there.
She is where she’s supposed to be. Mariah goes to check in with Tessa since Aria’s home with the sniffles.
When she’s gone, Sharon and Nick kiss and Faith sends her love to the twins. Eve’s surprised they’re together and Sharon asks about her classes.
Eve’s stumped and Sharon says everyone raves about her kindergarten classes.
Sharon hopes she’ll be Aria’s teacher. Harrison and Kyle show up.
While Kyle kisses Summer, Harrison rushes to Eve’s side.
They leave to find Harrison’s friend and Nikki and Victor turn up.
Nikki says that Victoria’s stopping to pick something up for her.
Eve asks what’s going on. Nikki goes on about how special she is, even before she became a champion rider.
Victoria finally appears with balloons and Cole asks if she thought they forget about her birthday.
They all cheer and wish her a happy birthday.
Eve cries happy tears. Cole calls the day she was born special and scary.
She says if this is a dream, she doesn’t want to wake up.
Cole gives her an advanced copy of his new book.
He dedicated it to her. “To my beloved daughter, Eve Newman Howard. My pride, my joy, my truest inspiration.”
They tear up and clap. Father and daughter hug.
Nick tries to find a dad joke in there and they crack jokes before Adam returns, with an apology for the delay.

Jordan shows up with an IV. “I don’t need to ask who this is for now, do I?” She asks.
Everyone freezes and she closes her eyes, trying to shut Jordan out. Jordan says she can’t wish her out of existence so Claire jumps upand grabs the IV and pushes it.
“You can’t be here.” Jordan laughs. She can! She says her sweet Claire Bear sounds pathetic. She says her name is Eve and she has her life back in spite of her. Jordan tells her to come fight for it.
They leave to Neil’s lounge where Eve finds the Victorian doll with the blood tear running down her face.
Jordan calls this a fantasy, a dream. Not her life.
Claire complains that she taught her to hate, not love.
Jordan fires back that she tossed her away and she can see now that Claire wanted parties and ponies. Eve says no.
Jordan urges her to read the facts about the Newmans sordid lives.
Eve says they’re not perfect but they do more than spew poison and plan revenge.
Jordan calls it justice and demands respect. Eve calls her obsessed, and petty.
Jordan finds joy in destroying those people. She’s unstopable.
She burned the prison down, got Nikki back on booze then burned Victoria’s house down.
She’s not finished. There’s more to burn down. She changed the course of her life and can do it again. She says Claire has nothing but “mush” in her head.
Eve takes off and when she turns around, Jordan’s gone and so is the doll.
She goes to sit and Adam stops her.
He warns her to work on the poker face of hers.
She’s confused. Adam thinks she’s more like him than the rest of them.
She asks why, because she turned him in to the authorities?
She didn’t set him up.
Adam says he sees her dark streak deep down.
Eve says they’re nothing alike. He can’t change and she already has.
The family is still frozen in place when she sits down, and then everyone starts talking and Adam takes off.
The cake comes and Nikki says Eve started tradition at Harrison’s age.
She asked the family to make a wish for the year.
They all laugh, remembering how sweet that was.
Eve has everything she wants so Abby says she wants a sibling for Dominic, Kyle and Summer want that for Harrison.
Mariah wishes for Cassie to be as happy as she is today.
“Back at ya, sis,” Cassie says.
Nick has no wish yet but asks how a pickle celebrates its birthday.
Everyone goes, “Oh no.”
Nick grins. “It relishes every moment,” he says. “Boom!”
Everyone groans. Victor wishes happiness and good health and finally when it comes to Eve, she says, “I wish…” then wakes up.
She calls her mother and Victoria walks in.
Did she have a bad dream?
Claire asks her mom to sit with her.
They snuggle on the sofa.

At Crimson Lights, Lily tells Heather, “You made your choice. I will make mine.”
Heather says, “I assume that means you’re going to fire me.”
Lily says, “Uh. I don’t know Heather, I haven’t decided yet.” She walks out and sees Daniel.
Back at Crimson Lights, Audra shakes off Tucker’s arm. “Don’t touch me.”
Nate says, “You heard the lady.”
At the Abbott mansion, Diane says, “You forget. You’re supposed to report to me. Not the other way around.”
Kyle seethes at his mother. “Well, forgive me if I overstepped.”
