Thurs Nov 23: Today on Young and Restless, the show brings us back to February 4, 1993, when Ryan and Nina ran into each other at Gina’s place, Traci and Lauren traded barbs over Brad, and Eve Howard showed up at Victor’s place acting sketchy.
Wednesday’s recap: It’s Thanksgiving in Genoa City and Gloria Reveals an Affair With a Diplomat That Put Her Behind Bars

As Victor and Douglas arrive home, Douglas boasts about what a gem of a restaurant they were at.
Victor’s not particularly enthusiastic and tells his friend if he was less enthusiastic he might drop a few pounds.
Douglas doesn’t like that. Victor gets a call from his service.
Connie tells him a woman named Eve Howard called. Victor’s surprised but tells the woman it’s okay to let her stop by.
He disconnects and wonders what Eve has up her sleeve. “Eve Howard, I’ll be damned,” he says.
Douglas inquires about Eve and learns she’s worked for him for 6 years and he didn’t fire her when he learned she was in love with him.
“Never have an affair with one of your secretaries,” he says.
The woman has a kid who wanted him to acknowledge him as the father.
Eve arrives and Douglas makes himself scarce.
The two sit and reminisce but Victor reminds her that most of that was her fantasizing.
She asks if he denies their relationship. He doesn’t but he’s learned that she’s been turning that into some love affair when it wasn’t.
He gets them both a martini and when she asks after Nikki, he tells her that she is married to Jack.
She fishes for information and though he doesn’t like the fishing, he admits he’s single and asks where she’s going with this conversation.
She denies that she’s trying to do anything.
He asks if she’s dropping the notion that he’s her baby daddy. She swears he is.
He looks like him, and they’re similar, but she’s never told Cole that Victor’s his dad.
She won’t and then dangles the fact that she has a photo of him but won’t show it to him.
He asks why she bothered to tell him and she gets out of sorts and regrets coming there.
She stomps out and Victor muses that she hasn’t changed a bit.
Traci surprises Lauren at home. It’s been a while and Traci says she’s there for old times sake.
Lauren reluctantly lets the blonde in who says she’s staying with Brad. Lauren’s been married to Scott a few months and Traci accuses her frenemy of carrying on with Brad.

Lauren denies that. Traci says if it wasn’t for her, she’d be rebuilding her relationship. Lauren mocks her asking if Brad woke up.
Traci scoffs and remembers how Lauren loved to ridicule her and how popular she was with the guys.
Traci brags that she now lives in New York and is an author, living with a man who wants to marry her.
Lauren thinks she should jump on that.
Traci’s not like Lauren and starts in on her about having power, prestige and money but in the end, she has so little.
Not a real marriage or a child. Lauren’s mouth drops and Traci rants about her not even having custody of her baby.
Where is her head? Lauren doesn’t care what she thinks she knows and tells Traci to leave.
Once she’s gone, the concierge arrives with her mail.
She opens it and seems confused as she reads, “Your picture starts to come alive with puzzle piece number five. Before too long you will see something fascinating to you and me. Isn’t this fun, and the best is yet to come.”
She gets a new puzzle piece and puts it together with the rest.
She can’t figure out what it is. “A bed?”
Nina runs into Ryan at Gina’s place and asks where Victoria is.
Gina interrupts with drinks and offers Nina something luscious and low-calorie.
“Done,” she says and takes Ryan’s order before she toddles off.
Ryan says Victoria’s tied up tonight and would rather shift to talk about Nina.
Why is she out alone? Nina felt down. He did too and is glad she’s there because she’s fun.
She asks him to dance when Gina turns up with food. Ryan agrees to a dance after the meal.
At Nikki and Jack’s, Nick arrives home and asks why Victoria’s home but not Ryan.
Nikki tries to keep the truth from the kid and agrees he should run upstairs to see his sister. Jack arrives home and embraces Nikki and feels her abdomen — she’s pregnant.
Jack loves coming home to the woman of his dreams and their unborn child which will be the most important thing to him.
He asks after Victoria and is surprised that her sex therapist, “the woman she’s seeing for her sexual problem told her to move back home.”
How does she deal with her hangups staying here?
Nikki doesn’t know and says they need to stay out of it. Maybe it’ll help her. She asks Jack to keep this secret from Victor.
They gossip about whether this will be a good thing for Victoria to be at home and Jack thinks she’s too young to be married anyway.
Upstairs, Victoria’s alone and calls Ryan. There’s no answer since he’s with Nina. She tries again and still, there’s no answer.
Michael paces in his room and snipes about “him” hiring a private detective to protect her.
It won’t stop him. After what that bitch did to him, a whole army wouldn’t be enough. He needs a plan.
He can’t be blamed if he’s in New York and calls the desk to connect him with an airline.
He gets a ticket to NYC and writes a note to Christine, telling her he’s relocating and to send Danny his best.
He hopes they can get together one day and heal old wounds.
He laughs to himself as he reads the end, ‘Most sincerely, Michael.” He puts it in an envelope and leaves.
Back at Gina’s place, Nina and Ryan share a dance or four and agree it was a good time.
Nina asks him back to her place. He’s not so sure but in the end agrees it’s best to call it a night.
She chuckles and shrugs. He walks her to her car.
At home, Ryan is deep in thought when Victoria calls, relieved when he picks up. She asks where he’s been.
He had no food in the house so went out to dine. She is sorry for not leaving food in the house.
She asks what he had and if he ate alone. He shares his pasta dish and says, “Sure,” in response to eating alone.
She tells him about her mom thinking that she dumped him.
She handled it and told her that she was going home in a few days. Ryan hopes her old man doesn’t find out.
Victoria professes her love and they disconnect. Nina calls to thank him for the nice time.
She’s lying in bed and says she wishes he was there. “I just got out of the shower, and… you sure you don’t want to change your mind?” She asks. He can’t. They disconnect and he sighs.
