Weds Jan 31, 2024: Today on Young and Restless, Victor shares words of wisdom with Nick, Victoria and Cole keep a secret from Claire; Kyle defends his actions at Jabot.
Tuesday’s recap: Jack Enables Nikki, Victor Learns of a Fire at Jordan’s Prison and Keeps it Secret, and Audra Lies to Tucker

Jack and Diane drink coffee outside Jack’s office at Jabot.
They reminisce about their night of dancing and wander into the office, surprised to see Kyle.
He was up at dawn, he says and wanted to get a start on his day.
Diane worries about him but he’s making up for past behavior. Jack tells him that’s in the past and reminds him he saved them from Tucker.
Diane agrees but Kyle has something to prove to himself and hands over a sheet of paper on restructuring the intern program.
It needed legal finessing and his mom doesn’t have to worry about it now.
He takes off for a meeting and Diane looks for issues where there are none, thinking that Kyle isn’t on board with Jack’s vision.
Jack says he’s committed but Diane disagrees. He’s trying too hard and disappointed he’s not co-CEO.
He already had the job, after all.
Jack thinks she’s overthinking.
They talk at length about this until Jack gets a call and Diane takes off, seeing Kyle end a call in the hallway.
He tells his mom his meeting was canceled and he’s going to work on something that was again, originally Diane’s job to do.
He says she can now think about “incentivizing faster turnarounds on production timing.”
She has time now to explore that.
She tells him to stop it. She doesn’t need him to pick up her slack.
She’s perfectly capable of managing.
She thinks he’s subconsciously saying he could do her job and better.
Kyle’s sorry and vows to back off. They embrace but he looks worried.
Tucker approaches Nate at Society and asks if he and Audra are a couple now.
Nate says either way, it’s none of his business.
Tucker figures she’ll tell him sooner or later but Nate knows their relationship isn’t like that anymore.
Victoria and Nick arrive at Victor’s office and he tells them about the fire at Jordan’s prison.
They question if Jordan’s killed.
Nick hopes she’s burning in hell but Victor doesn’t know anything yet.
She could have escaped. Victoria’s frustration builds and Victor too says he was concerned about “that Jordan woman.”
Nick wonders if she’ll go after Claire. Victor’s sent security to Memorial. 
Victoria asks if he can keep it on the down low.
He admits he’s keeping it from Nikki.
She already had some stress added to her plate after she fired Audra Charles.
Nick and Victoria gasp and Victor tells them the reason behind it.
Once Victoria’s gone, the men talk about Adam being on his best behavior.
Nick thinks it’s a matter of time until it goes up in flames.
Nick talks about how it hasn’t been easy seeing him with Sally.
He thought they had a future but wishes the best for them since they still have a pull.
Victor finds that mature. He never trusted or liked Sally but things might have changed for the better.
Nick suggests they stay out of it. They talk business, finally and Victor offers to have dinner with the state’s attorney general but Nick will do it.
Vic says Nick has a child at home and all he does is work. What about his personal life? Nick’s where he wants to be.
Nikki’s at work when Audra drops by to tell her she packed up her office and turned in her key card.
“Unless you changed your mind about letting me go?”
Nikki says the only way she can stay is if she opens the Newman Media office in London.
They’re both sorry. Nikki assumes it seems unfair.
Audra nods. Her work has been exemplary.
A part of Nikki regrets this but given the circumstances, she needs to be selfish.
Audra reminds her she’s no threat and would never break her confidence.
Nikki stops her since this is a repeat conversation.
Audra hopes she finds someone soon because running the company alone will be stressful. Nikki purses her lips.
They shake hands and Nikki offers a glowing recommendation.
Audra too has kind words for her and hopes she’s successful.
Outside, Audra swears and texts Tucker to ask if he’s made up his mind.
Back at Society, Tucker reads Audra’s text and tells Nate he doesn’t understand the bond he and Audra have.
Nate scoffs and tells the older man that he’s got nothing and is alone.
He tells him to let her go.

Mishael Morgan (Amanda) returns
She won’t find her true potential with his dead weight around her neck.
Tucker takes credit for where she is now, causing Nate to roll his eyes.
Tucker insists they know each other and that she has something in the works, aimed at him.
Nate doesn’t know what he’s on about. He says to give Audra a message. “I’m on to her.” They can’t beat him.
Nate smirks. Tucker brings up Nate “sucking up to Devon” yesterday and thinks he’d be better off working with him and Audra.
Nate says there’s no more Audra and him.
She walks in and Tucker tells her Nate’s considering working with them.
“No way in hell,” Nate says. Audra dashes after Tucker when he leaves and asks if he’s forgiven her.
He says yes.
He can’t stay angry with her. He gives her his jacket when she shivers.
He touches her cheek and says they’ll have a blast this time.
She knows he won’t regret it.
He tells her that bringing her in is the only way he’ll find out what the hell she’s up to.
She claims she’s not up to anything. She’s learned a lot from him and wants to learn more.
He isn’t sure he can trust her but tells her to keep the jacket.
She looks good in it.
She heads back inside and downplays her conversation with Tucker then tells Nate she resigned from Newman Media.
Nate thinks something went wrong for her to lie to his face.
She was fired, wasn’t she? She shrugs. She knew Nikki’s drinking wouldn’t work out well for her.
She complains about almost being exiled to London.
She says she tried to be supportive but all Nikki she saw was a threat. Nate’s sorry.
Audra digresses. At least she’s free of the Newmans where blood is the only thing that matters.
She should have learned from Nate. He begs her not to screw with Tucker.
She knows it’s a risky and bad idea but she hasn’t agreed. Nate hates to see her suffer but she asks him to have a little faith.
Nate thinks she’ll be setting herself up for a fall. Audra disagrees. He can watch her wind out on top where she belongs!
Back in her office, Nikki calls Jack to see if he’s found a replacement for Audra. She’s stressed out.
He says these things take time.
She fills him in on Audra’s goodbye and bitches about how she reminded her that it will be stressful.
She questions her motives behind firing Audra but Jack reassures her that she did the right thing for her sobriety.
He invites her to a late breakfast but she has too much work.
She worries she’s self-sabotaging but he doubts that.
They disconnect when Victoria walks in and mentions Audra being fired. She questions her judgement which sets Nikki off.
Her mother yells at her and Victoria apologizes.
Nikki’s sorry. Victoria’s just concerned about her sobriety and offers to step in for a while.
Her mom refuses. Her place is with Claire. They argue and Nikki assures her kid she’ll be fine.
Victoria leaves and Nikki reads about the fire in Jordan’s prison.
She starts hyperventilating and worries Jordan’s coming for her right now. “Oh God,” she whispers, clearly worried.
Victoria meets Cole to tell him about the fire. Cole worries but it’d be a safer world without Jordan in it.
Nikki must be terrified. Victoria says she’s struggling, so they didn’t tell her.
Her sobriety is too fragile. He’s sorry.
They haven’t told Claire which Cole agrees with. He doubts Jordan escaped. They talk about Cole’s family’s history with mental illness and how hard this is on him.
He’s glad that he sees so much of Victoria in her. It makes him feel she’ll be fine. They hold hands and Victoria says there’s no bad in him.
Back at Jabot, Kyle goes to Jack to see if he overstepped with Mom. She politely accused him of being passive-aggressive.
Jack thinks her concern is about her own insecurity.
He’s trying to help her in the wrong way. She’s capable of developing into the role herself.
Kyle agrees and will back off.
