Brian Gaskill hasn’t worked in soaps since 2008 and many times we’ve wondered what the actor has been up to.
Turns out that Gaskill has been acting off and on in primetime shows and movies, and he is returning to soaps in 2024, according to TVGuide, and this time, in a role on Young and Restless.
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) started attending AA meetings on December 5. She told the group about a recurrent nightmare she had about losing her sobriety in a moment of weakness.
Nikki sobbed and told the group that her 4 years, 11 months and 21 days of sobriety are over and it wasn’t her fault.
She detailed how she was forced to ingest vodka against her will and filled them in on the kidnapping and the alcohol IV, the horrific demons that it awakened.
Nikki is still drinking and struggling with her sobriety, but with Jordan (Colleen Zenk) being arrested and sent to prison, Nikki can now concentrate on getting sober.
Unless Jordan reappears, and things get crazy again, Nikki could be well on her way to sobriety in the new year, especially when she meets Seth (Gaskill), a man who meets Nikki at an AA meeting. Seth turns up to be a sponsor for her and they have a chat at Society about her sobriety issues.
Whether he helps her reach her goal or is a hindrance, remains to be seen.

What has Gaskill been up to? Since his portrayal as Dylan Lewis on Guiding Light, he went on to shows such as No Ordinary Family, Castle, The Bay, from 2012 – 2015, to Untold: This is My Story, and the most recent as Paul Bachelor in A Reluctant Heart.
