Friday Dec 29, 2023: Today on General Hospital, Esme gets advice from Heather, Trina and Spencer decide to move to Paris, and Lois realizes that Nina tipped off the SEC.
Thursday’s GH recap: Felicia swiped some of Cody’s DNA while Lucy and Scott made a scene for suspicious Tracy.
Gregory is waiting for Alexis at the Port Charles heliport.
The pilot says they are running out of time.
She finally jogs over and announces she’s ready to go, even if it kills her.
The pilot explains it will be a tandem dive and Alexis asks about when the plane was serviced.
When Falcon, the pilot arrives, Alexis starts to panic.
Everything in her being is telling her not to jump. She can’t do it.
Gregory doesn’t want her to feel obligated to something she doesn’t want to do and offers to call off the jump.
Alexis stops that and asks if she and Gregory can talk for a minute. The pilots leave them alone and she worries her daughters couldn’t live without her.
He reminds her that they are adults. Kids are full of surprises and you have to let them go. That belief gives him comfort and courage.
That’s enough to talk her around. She’s not sure but is still determined to “jump out of a damn plane.”
Once they land, Alexis can’t believe her heart is beating so hard. Gregory walks over to her with his cane.
She tells him how amazing that was and how much she loved it. They kiss. She’s startled and then kisses him.
Spencer stops by the dorm to get Trina. She’s not ready yet and has to dress. He finds a letter from the Sorbonne and asks who is writing to her.
She says he wasn’t supposed to see that. She applied to a program and was accepted but she can’t go while Curtis is recovering.
Spencer tells her this opportunity won’t wait and she has to go.
He’s sure she will be the toast of the town. She suggests he come with her and then tells him to forget, knowing he couldn’t leave Ace.
Spencer ponders it and says he’d only be a flight away if he needs to see Ave. They make out.
After they have sex, he tells her about Paris. She thinks it sounds nice but urges him to think about this seriously instead of daydreaming.
He’s sure that this needs to happen and wants to experience Europe with someone he loves.
He suddenly remembers the fireworks are going to start.
Esme visits the mental hospital to see her mother. Heather wonders why she’s come on New Year’s Eve and senses something is different about her.
She asks about Ace’s first Christmas. She’s surprised when her daughter explains she let Ace spend the holiday with Trina and Spencer.
“You remember, don’t you?” she asks. Esme is shocked she can tell.
Her mom knows how to read her face and mannerisms. She saw a glint in her eyes.
“Honey, it’s nice to meet the real Esme,” she says, urging her to pour her heart out.
Esme feels like she’s two different people and doesn’t know what to think or do.
Heather assures her all will be okay since she did the right thing and came to see her mother.
She urges her daughter to keep it zipped that she doesn’t remember anything. She’s inherited the familial talent for misdirection.
Esme admits that she doesn’t feel guilty about anything now that she remembers it all.
Heather tells her to just keep telling people what they want to hear. Her daughter doesn’t see what that gets her.
She tells Esme to forget “the twerps.” She’s too good for them anyway. She’s got Ace and that’s all she needs.
Heather urges her to put on a party dress and find someone worthy of her.
She advises her not to squander her future. Esme thanks her. It was a pleasure for Heather to finally meet her daughter.

Sonny stops by the Crimson office to get Nina. She promises to hurry up and meet him way before midnight so they can celebrate their first New Year’s as husband and wife.
She offers to save work for tomorrow but he urges her to wrap things up and kisses her.
They arrange to meet later and he takes off. Cyrus pops up and says he’s there to help her.
She claims to be busy. When he tells her she doesn’t walk alone, she flashes back to him saying that to her in the confessional.
He asks if she’s “set herself free.” She doesn’t know what he thinks he heard. He heard more than enough.
Renault tells her how much Drew told him in prison and what he owes him.
She lectures him for being dishonest but he asks how he can help her. He urges her to confess to the people she hurt but she doesn’t see what good that would do.
She’s not going to take moral lectures from him and asks what he’s going to do with what he knows.
Cyrus claims he only wants her redemption. All the bartering she’s making to avoid the truth will only land her in Hell.
He points out how much hurt she can undue with a few simple words. She says that she didn’t want Sonny to know, but if anyone is going to tell him, it will be her.
He has faith she will do the right thing. Until she does, he will be watching.
Carly is at The Savoy when Michael joins her. He says that Willow is working and she adds that Dante and Sam are home with Scout, who has the flu.
Olivia, Ned, and Lois arrive.
As Ned heads to get drinks for them at the bar, Carly corners him, eager to ask him some questions since he got his memory back. She threatens to send the SEC after him.
They argue about ELQ and she threatens to send the FTC after them. Getting fed up, Ned offers to tell her why Drew was really sent to Pentonville.
Michael gets between them and reminds Ned that he owes him. They debate it and Michael threatens to expose Nina for Willow’s sake.
Olivia and Lois spot Ned arguing with Carly. Sonny arrives and watches too.
Sonny intrudes with the others, leaving Lois and Olivia to argue about not stepping in.
They debate why Michael handed control of ELQ back to Ned. Lois wonders if Michael turned his own mother in to the SEC.
Olivia says that’s not what happened and urges her to let this go. Lois can’t. She’s sure the answer is in front of her face.
Lois is sure that Michael is paying off Ned because he’s got something on him.
Ned and Sonny argue and Michael convinces them not to make a scene before he takes Ned aside.
Sonny follows them to tell Ned it’s not over and then walks off. Michael reminds Ned again that they had an agreement.
Sonny returns to Carly and apologizes for interfering. She’s had enough and wants to go home. Staying for the countdown will just make her miss Drew more.
Sonny returns to Lois and Olivia and tells her Nina will be in at midnight. When he leaves to make a call, Lois guesses that whoever tipped off the SEC was after Carly. The person with an incentive is Nina.
Olivia begs her to stay quiet. Sonny is happy with Nina and the truth will just hurt people.
Ned returns to them and suggests they head to the fireworks.
Lois says she will meet them there. Once they leave, Sonny walks over and asks if she’s ready to walk down to the docks.
She tells him he’s going to miss the fireworks this year. He’s confused. Lois announces that his family has been lying to him.
When Carly gets home, she’s startled when Drew suddenly pops up. She throws her arms around him. They head to the bedroom as the fireworks go off.
Down on the docks, spencer and Trina each the fireworks. He says he would follow her anywhere.
Esme watches and makes a fist.
