Wed Dec 6: Today on Young and Restless, Nick warns Lily about Nate, Devon still doesn’t want Nate back in the company, and Nikki takes another drink.
Tuesday’s recap: After a disturbing call, Nikki takes a drink, while Victoria and Cole get Claire to agree to a DNA test.

At the ranch, Nikki pours herself a glass of vodka and downs it in one.
She pops in a breath mint and hides the glass as Victor approaches with a cup of tea.
He tells his baby he would do anything to help her. They sit on the couch and they talk about what happened.
After they thank god the poison is out of them, he tells her that she’s not fooling him and he knows what’s going on.
He knows she’s been putting up a brave front. She admits she’s been struggling with her sobriety.
Nikki is trying not to blame herself. He blames himself. His affair with Eve brought all this on.
He asks who she can call. In the old days, it would have been Katherine or Neil. She’ll reach out to her sponsor.
When she says she needs to get to a meeting, he offers to take her but she wants the time alone. They make a lunch date.
They talk about the kids and he tells her to let him look after them.
Before she can go, she gets an anonymous call. When she picks up, it’s just burlesque music.
“I know that song, but from where?” she wonders.
At the AA meeting, Nikki tells the group about a recurrent nightmare about losing her sobriety in a moment of weakness.
Last night, she another of those nightmares, and when she woke up, she realized it was real.
Sobbing, she says her 4 years, 11 months and 21 days of sobriety are over and it wasn’t her fault. She was literally forced to ingest vodka against her will, as outlandish as that sounds.
She was kidnapped by a deranged woman who hooked her up to an IV of alcohol. Now she feels like the demon in her head has awakened.
Even if she didn’t take the first drink, she did take the second and the third. The disease doesn’t care how it happened. It just screams for more.
Nikki is terrified. She can’t go down this road again and knows she needs to get humble again and focus on not taking a drink again…a minute at a time.
After the meeting, she looks in her purse and sees the vodka glass, which sets her off on flashbacks of falling off the wagon.
She drops it in the trash.

Nick stumbles into Crimson Lights looking injured. Lily asks what happened.
He doesn’t want to talk about it so she asks him about Newman and Nate. He says Nate was wrong.
She suspects things were more complicated than that but he doesn’t think so. Shipping his father off was not a viable plan and he can’t believe she’s defending her cousin.
Lily asks if the punishment fits the crime. Would his dad have fired his children if they’d done the same thing?
He’s sure they would have been. Nate tried to stage a coup.
She thanks him for his honesty. He thinks she dodged a bullet with Nate the first time.
Devon joins them, eager to talk to his sister.
Nick gets called off to the office.
Once Devon sits, he tells his sister that Victor explained Nate definitely burned bridges at Newman.
Lily thinks that Nate could have cared for Victor. He used to be a doctor. Devon thinks he lost his mind when he ceased being a doctor.
They need to take their company’s stability into consideration and shouldn’t invite another threat in.
As they agree to turn him down, Esther brings them cookies and goes on about how great it is that they are working together again. It would be great if Nate could too…
Once she walks off, Devon admits it bugs him that Nate keeps falling. Lily thinks they may be the only ones who can save him from himself.
Nick visits his father at the office and they worry about Nikki. Victor informs him she’s at an AA meeting.
They talk about Cole and Victoria going to see Claire. Nick worries that she could play mind games with his sister but Victor says not to.
When Nick asks about Eve, Victor doesn’t want to discuss it but admits she tried to kill him. She also nearly ruined his first wedding to Nikki.
He hasn’t been able to track Jordan down yet. Victor says all of this has taught him how important it is that they stick together as a family.
Nikki meets with Victor at the GCAC. She tells him about the AA meeting.
It brought up feelings she’s no longer used to. Claire and Jordan have taken away her security.
She feels like her disease is back, like a cancer that’s been in remission.
He promises to help her every step of the way. She’s the strongest woman he’s ever known.
She’ll try to live up to his faith. She gets a call from or but it rattles her.
She tells him that she keeps getting calls that are just music. She’s had two calls today.
He wonders if that Jordan woman is trying to get into her head.
She tries singing the music but neither of them recognize it. Nikki thinks if they can figure out what it is, it could be a clue.
They go down to the jazz lounge and Victor has her hum her song to the piano player. He recognizes it as “Kitty’s Bounce,” a swing song, and starts playing it.
She realizes it’s a number she used to dance to.
Jordan must be trying to rile her up by bringing up memories of her exotic dancing.
She’s not embarrassed by it, but she’s worried about where it comes from.
She snaps and Victor apologizes for pushing her to remember that.
He won’t allow Jordan to do this to her.
Jordan checks into the motel.
Nate is drinking alone at the bar in the GCAC when she sends Devon a text, asking if they can meet to discuss his proposal.
Tucker joins him, clapping and commending him on his play to get Victor committed. He pushes for details but Nate insists he was trying to protect Victor.
Hastings repeats he had no plot but Tucker knows he arranged for Victor to have an extended stay at a hospital in Switzerland.
Nate is appalled he knows this confidential information. McCall keeps laughing about the image of Victor in a straightjacket.
When Nate gets defensive, Tucker wonders when he will stop wasting his time and talents in all the wrong places. He knows that Audra offered him a spot in their new venture.
They are putting together a team of people not afraid to get dirty and he seems like that kind of man.
Nate had no idea Audra’s offer included him and he doesn’t want to be part of it. He doesn’t like his involvement with Audra or Mamie.
Tucker admires his ferocity and tells him to call if he comes to his senses.
As soon as he walked off, leaving Nate the bill, Nate calls Audra to say they need to speak immediately.
Once he gets to her suite, he finds tucker is already there. She asks Tucker to step out.
On his way, he says he thinks Nate has more potential than “that other guy.”
Once he’s gone, Nate demands to know what she kept Tucker’s involvement a secret.
She says Tucker’s involvement is just financial. Nate wants complete details.
Audra admits they are planning a hostile takeover. He’d come in after the fact as part of her team.
Hastings things they better have the management hierarchy straight. He guesses Tucker is going after Chancellor-Winters and he won’t be part of that.
Audra says that’s not it so he guesses it must be Jabot. She wonders why he suddenly has a conscience.
Nate says he’s not as mercenary as everyone thinks. She points out he doesn’t have many other options.
“Maybe I do,” he says, after getting a text from Devon.
At Society, Nick calls Victoria and leaves her a message, urging her to be careful with Jordan on the loose.
Nate goes to Crimson Lights to see his cousins. Lily asks him to sit down.
