Monday, July 17, Y&R day ahead recap: Diane gives Summer marital advice, Christine and Heather argue about Phyllis’ case, and Daniel admits to Lily that his mother’s return is way too convenient.
Friday’s Y&R day ahead: Sharon and Chance Have Sex, Victor Lays Down the Law With His Fractured Family, and Adam Walks Out, Refusing Victor’s

Kyle goes to Audra’s suite at the GCAC. She pulls him in for sex.
They’re both happy he’s taken the job and they celebrate by jumping in bed.
After that, they relax. She’s waiting to hear from Nate about the latest Newman gossip.
he assures him work and play time are separate but she gives a thousand percent to both.
They make out and he offers to ask around since he’s still a member of the Newman family. She thinks Nate has it this time.
When she asks how his wife would feel about him asking around, he rubs his eyes and says she’d hate it but she’s done worse.
He admits that Summer doesn’t trust her and warned him he should watch his back. “As long as you don’t cross me, we’ll be fine,” she assures him.
Once they get dressed, they agree they aren’t at the spending the night stage. She likes that he’s not clingy and suggests he be more discrete with his text messages.
When she mentions Tucker saw one of them, Kyle is annoyed and doesn’t want that man in his business. She assures him it’s all good. As she ushers him out, Nate arrives.
As Kyle goes, Nate welcomes him aboard. Once the door is closed, Audra tells Nate not to say a word.
He explains there was a family meeting at the ranch and Victor was reading everyone the riot act, even suggesting he can’t be trusted.
That doesn’t sound good to her. He suggests they grab a bite, sure she will love the end to this story.
Summer shows up at the Abbott estate. Diane assumes she’s there to tell Kyle about Phyllis’ arrest.
He’s already heard about it. Summer asks how he reacted.
Diane explains that he heard from Tucker of all people. Summer insists her mom wants the war with Diane to end but Jenkins doesn’t think she can be trusted.
When she explains Kyle went out, Summer wonders where he could have gone.
His mom says he’s been restless but maybe that will change now that Phyllis has been arrested and they can work things out.
Diane gloats about Phyllis getting her chance to spend time in a jail cell. She’s startled when Summer explains she turned herself in.
Summer wants to tell her husband the whole story. Diane suggests he might have gone looking for her.
The blonde is sure that she’s happy to be seeing her suffer.
It may be a surprise to her, but Diane claims she really wants her marriage to work out. Kyle is confused but will remember where his heart is.
“Why do you care?” Summer asks. When Diane looks at her, she sees the woman her son loves. If he’s happy, so is she.
Summer wants him back and Diane says there is always a way back.
The old Diane would have lied her way back. The old Summer would have done the same.
She admits she already tricked Kyle into marrying her once by offering to by Lola’s liver donor.
Diane is sure she’s matured past that now and proven she and Kyle really love each other.
Summer is about to exit but Kyle shows up, furious that she’s there. She tells him her mom realized what she did was wrong and turned herself in.
Diane offers to make herself scarce. Kyle tells her he’s just getting a bite and going to bed.
Summer can smell perfume on him and asks if he’s been with someone. He bids her good night and she runs out.
Diane asks her son if there’s something he wants to talk about. She’s shocked when he explains he’s going to work for Newman Media.
She thinks it’s soon to be making major life decisions but her son disagrees and complains about Jack demoting him.
His mom hates this situation but he thinks it’s time for him to make his own mark.
When she goes to bed, he sits and thinks.

When Nate and Audra get to the dining room, she’s surprised to hear that Victor has taken back control of the company and baffled to hear that Sharon is now working with Adam and Nick.
Nate makes it clear that he’s staying on board at Newman and that means Newman Media is all hers.
They toast to their future and he tells her of Victoria’s plans.
Summer walks over and nearly falls over when she catches a whiff or Audra’s perfume.
Daniel shows up at Lily’s penthouse. He looks like hell and tells her that his mom is now in a jail cell after turning herself in.
Something seems off about this. An eye witness popping up to corroborate her story seems too convenient.
They sit and he explains the EMT and his very convenient story.
As much as he loves his mother, he knows how capable she is of stretching the truth. She’s probably not telling them the whole story.
Lily is sorry he’s in such a hard spot. He’s exhausted but can’t stop thinking about the trouble his mom is in.
She suggests they try talking about something else so they talk about headboard colors and then her chat with Nate.
Lily admits it went off the rails when she brought Victoria up. She can see they are wrong for each other and she’s sure that Victoria will use Nate and spit him out.
He thanks her for being there for him. She thanks him for making her move special. They kiss. He gets a text about the arraignment.
It feels like every time one storm ends, another one blows in that’s worse.
Christine and Heather get dinner at the club. They talk about Lucy and Paul before turning to the case.
The DA is sure that Phyllis has plotted this out. Her corroborate witness also claimed that she’d died.
Heather doesn’t see any point in dragging this out and thinks the charges should be dropped immediately.
Christine points out Phyllis is no one’s victim and was a partner in these crimes.
Heather is sure that Carson’s statements clear her client. This all seems way too convenient and rehearsed to the DA.
Stark may have been a sociopath, but that’s not enough.
Dismissing this, Heather is confident a judge will side with her client. They bicker about what’s happened and Christine continues to find all of this way too convenient.
The DA is surprised to hear Phyllis decided to surrender without knowing about Carson being willing to back her up.
She’s sure that can’t be the case so how did she find out about it?
Christine is sure that Heather knows all of this stinks.
Heather accuses her of being incapable of giving Phyllis the benefit of the doubt.
She urges her to keep an open mind and not let her hatred stop her from doing the right thing.
