Tuesday, July 18 recap of B&B: Finn worries to Steffy about Liam being in an emotional free-fall, Ridge nudges Brooke to tell him about Thomas, and Liam accuses Hope of deflecting.
Monday’s B&B recap: Kelly had a nightmare about Finn, Hope trashed Liam and Ridge, and Liam spilled to Wyatt about the kiss.
At the cliff house, Steffy and Finn kiss and enjoy the silence. She thanks him for getting the food out of her hair and they talk about getting a new nanny.
He tells her how blessed he feels to be in a strong marriage considering what Hope and Liam are going through. They chat about Liam and she hopes no news is good news.
Finn says it would be ideal for everyone if Hope and Liam can work it out. He doesn’t want Liam coming around and spending too much time with her if it doesn’t work out with Hope.
He’s not questioning her but he doesn’t trust Liam when he’s in emotional free-fall.
Taking his hand, she assures him they are solid and Liam knows that.
When the doctor suggests some people can’t control themselves in the romance of Rome, she flashes back to Liam kissing her there.
At Forrester Creations, Brooke tries to work but keeps thinking about her fight with her daughter.
Ridge interrupts the ruminating and guesses why she seems to be miles away. He asks how her chat with Thomas went last night.
He never thought their reunion would have been upstaged by Hope and Thomas kissing.
He’s grateful she talked to Thomas and knows he’s not responsible. It was just young people doing something dumb.
She gets up and grabs some water, admitting that visiting Thomas was not at all what she expected.
That’s not totally surprising to Ridge but he’s sure his son has worked on becoming a better man.
She’d like to believe that but isn’t sure she can. Ridge urges her to get past the kiss and tries believing all will work out for the best.
Brooke wants to believe that too, but so many lives will be impacted if Hope and Liam can’t find their way back to each other.

At the cabin, Hope takes a deep breath as Liam arrives.
He guesses she got his text.
She agrees that they need to talk about their future.
She’s been thinking about their history and how they ended up here.
She hates that she hurts but they need to think about where they go from here.
Hope takes full responsibility for giving in to her desires.
It happened and the desire was real.
They need to admit that Thomas is not the only one who has interfered in their marriage.
She assumes that he’s already done what he always does and runs off to Steffy. He pulls a face and she nods, knowing that she’s right.
He tries changing the topic to Thomas but she insists they talk about his relationship with his ex. Liam accuses her of deflecting.
She’s sure that the problem with their relationship is his cyclical relationship with Steffy. It’s deeply ingrained a fear inside her. She spent her childhood watching her mother suffer for Ridge’s divided loyalties. She refuses to be that woman.
Liam tells her that Steffy warned him about her feelings for Thomas. She points out that’s another instance of him running to her.
He admits he made mistakes and had to earn back her trust over months. He wants a divorce because he doesn’t understand her or know who she is.
Holding up her hands, she says if he wants a divorce, his life is his and hers is hers. He notices she’s already taken off her ring.
Liam refuses to accept this is because of him and Steffy and blames it all on her and Thomas.
She reminds him of all the betrayals he’s committed over the years and how he’s never truly faced any consequences.
She doesn’t want to spend her life doing this over and over again and tells him to go and find love.
