Thurs Sept 28, Y&R day ahead recap: Jack tells Billy about the dirt he got on Tucker from Adam, Phyllis assures Danny and Daniel she’s trying to change, and Tucker talks strategy with Audra.
Wednesday’s Y&R day ahead: Phyllis double-crossed Tucker, Jack was tipped off, Nikki tries to control Audra, and Leanna Love called Tucker for a scoop.

At Jabot, Jack tries to reassure Billy and Diane but she worries that Phyllis must be behind this.
Once she leaves, Billy tells his brother that he’s sure that Phyllis was working with Tucker to rattle them.
Jack wonders why they are targeting only his brother.
Billy assumes that he just thinks he’ll fall back into old patterns.
He asks his brother about his meeting with Adam.
Jack forgot all about that and checks his phone.
Looking at the message from Adam, he says they hit the motherload.
He fills his brother in on the cover-up. Billy thinks that’s sleazy.
He’s shocked Adam gave it to him for free.
Billy wants to confront Tucker with this. Jack agrees to that and reminds him to transfer the money back to the Jabot accounts.
His brother wonders if he actually wonders if he could be behind the embezzlement.
Jack is adamant that he believes in his innocence. Phyllis and Tucker are another matter.
He fumes about his ex doing this. Billy says some people like to stay on the dark side.
Tucker wanders into Crimson Lights and flashes back to telling Audra about how much he wants to punish the Abbotts for ruining his future with Ashley.
He planned to use Billy as his secret weapon.
He walks over to Audra in line and startles her.
They order espressos from Esther, who isn’t happy to see them.
They head out to the patio and she explains that Nikki warned her to stay away from him.
She made it clear to Nikki that she didn’t appreciate her trying to run her private life.
She didn’t fire her so she assumes she was impressed. Nikki even offered to be her mentor.
Tucker advises her to keep a respectable distance from that offer.
If she’s still interested in joining him on the “Jabot express,” she doesn’t need to worry about Nikki.
She admires how confident he is in this.
Leaning in, he explains he’s launched a plan to make it look like Billy is embezzling.
He’s sure they will guess he’s involved and wants that.
It’s all a diversion for what he’s actually planning.
She guesses that’s also what all the items he’s been planting in the gossip columns is about.
He won’t explain much but says they’ll never see what he’s planning coming.
He sold all he had to be with Ashley.
The Abbotts cost him that.
So it’s only fair he take away all they have.
It’s their turn to lose something valuable.
Audra suggests all this retribution is coming from the wrong place.
If Ashley came back to him tomorrow, what would he do?
She’s sure he’d fly off with her without a second thought.
He claims she couldn’t be more wrong. You can’t undo the way she betrayed him.
He assumes she probably had it all planned from the beginning, just to destroy him, putting a knife in his heart when his defenses were down.
That’s all done.
She thinks he’s wrong about Ashely, sure that she was really in love with him but found it harder to break away from her family.
He jokes she should be a therapist.
She admits she’s never been in love like that. He tells her it’s overrated.
Audra remains confident he will give his wife another chance.
He insists nothing will stop him from dismantling the Abbotts. Nothing.

Danny sits down at the bar with Phyllis in the jazz lounge. They have some awkward small talk.
It’s strange for him to see her alive. She “died” last time they were in that room.
She insists that was all Stark’s doing. Daniel has told him that.
Phyllis is not back to being the town pariah. He’s not impressed that she’s casting herself as the victim.
What she did to the people who care about her was horrible.
She claims she’s trying to be accountable and asks him for forgiveness.
He needs proof she’s really feeling guilty and doesn’t know why she cares about what he thinks.
She asks if she’s worth a second chance.
Daniel arrives and hugs his dad, wondering if this is a family reunion.
His father fills him in on Phyllis’ new redemption arc and how skeptical he is.
Daniel asks his mom if she’s going to take him up on his job offer. Danny suggests this could be her second chance.
They get a table and Daniel tells his mom he knows she’s used to high profile jobs but he doesn’t trust her at this point.
Danny adds she’s burned them too many times. She gets it but insists she’s dealing with the Stark “aftermath.”
She’s found the account he was hiding her money in and paid back the insurance company. Her son is surprised that happened so suddenly.
Danny points out that means there are no more excuses.
Phyllis claims she’s on the right path this time and knows how much she has to lose. If Nick and Sharon don’t offer her a position, she’ll take whatever job her son offers and follows orders.
They’d like to believe her but aren’t convinced. Danny will be proud if she actually comes through for them this time.
Jack shows up, staring daggers at her. The men look over at him.
Jack asks for a word alone with her and assure the men she’s in no immanent danger.
Once the others take off, Jack tells her he knows Tucker convinced her to hack into Jabot.
She claims innocence. He demands to know why she did it. He can see the guilt in her eyes.
Jack demands answers but she says she doesn’t have to listen to this and tells him he’s clueless.
She’s tired of being a punchbag and tells him to go to hell.
In the dining room, Daniel and his father wonder what’s going on with Phyllis.
Danny asks him how he’s doing. Things are going well for Daniel. The only real problem is his mom.
They chat about the new music Danny is working on for Omegasphere. He admits he has some time off and wanted to check in on Christine.
Daniel informs him that she’s in Lisbon with Paul, trying to work things out. Danny is surprised.
At the bar in the GCAC, Billy drinks alone and thinks about his recent conversations with Jack about trust and Tucker goading him about running Jabot.
He thinks about how he needs to dethrone Diane and how he’s the only person who can protect the company.
Diane eventually interrupts all the ruminating and asks if he and Jack have come up with a plan to deal with Tucker.
He’s cagey about it.
She asks him how close he really came to taking Tucker up on his suggestion that he take over at Jabot.
He claims he stopped himself from being too tempted. He’ll admit he was worried about her in the beginning but now he’s fine.
She wishes he’d admit that he’s after the top spot.
Billy suggests they get past this because there are worse threats to deal with.
Diane goes down to the lounge as Jack continues to grill Phyllis.
She tells Jack that she despises Tucker.
What does she have to do to prove that?
Jack asks her to prove it by hacking into McCall’s system.
When Tucker gets to his suite, Billy shows up and confronts him, saying that he knows what he’s up to.
He explains that he knows about the coverup.
He has the emails and will use them to crush him unless he backs off.

“I’m really grateful to be considered for your assistant role at Newman Media,” Claire says.
“So tell us, Claire Grace?” Nikki asks.
“Hopefully, your little meeting with Tucker will dissuade him from coming after us and we won’t need Phyllis at all,” Jack says.
“But if not?” Bill asks.
“If not, Phyllis may be just the weapon we need,” Jack answers.
“It’s been a long time since you and I were friends, but now you’ve made me your enemy,” Tucker tells Adam.
“There is something else going on underneath all this and I want to know what the hell it is,” Jill demands from Mamie.
