Fri March 1, 2024: Today on Young and Restless, Phyllis pushes Danny to have dinner with her, Nina listens to Christine’s Danny issues, and Victor tells Claire and her parents his plan.
Thursday’s recap: Jordan was startled that Claire left the hospital, Chelsea fought with Adam over Billy, and Mariah was stunned by Kyle’s admission.

Nina meets with Christine at Society. She’s in town for a few days to check on her son.
They chat about his new job and she’s relieved he finally has a job where he likely won’t get shot.
“Jill better keep him happy or else,” she says.
Cricket needs a friend right now because of Danny and Phyllis’ shenanigans.
The lawyer says she’s been trying to take the high road and things were fine but her old enemy refuses to let her be happy.
She promised herself that she would never react like this but “that woman” drove her to react like a jealous schoolgirl and it has Danny rattled.
It has gotten really bad and Danny ahs backed away from both of them.
Nina wishes she’d come back sooner to help and Cricket wishes the judge had sent Phyllis away for killing Stark.
Nina tells her that she can’t let Phyllis win.
Her friend admits Danny is to blame too.
He gives Phyllis too much credit and she milks it for all its worth.
The fact that he could have any attraction to that woman just disturbs her.
Nina suggests she back away and throw herself into something else.
That will let him know he’s in danger of losing her.
She’s sure it will take some willpower but it should whip him into shape so he can get with the program.
Nina is sure she gives him some incentive, it will go in the right direction.
Christine hopes so and she’s determined to draw a line in the sand with her rival.
Cricket decides to end the cycle and calls to leave a message, asking Danny to meet her tonight.
At the GCAC, Phyllis eavesdrops on Danny talking to someone about leaving for tour.
As soon as he gets off the line, she asks if he’s really going just as they are getting so close to getting back together.
He tells her they are not getting back together but she says what they have is very real.
She adds he has no spark with Christine and they’re like watching paint dry.
Phyllis didn’t expect him to walk back into her life and make her feel these things. He’s not buying it.
Danny finds all of this exhausting and is determined to leave. There’s nothing she can do to change his mind.
She’s sure his fans will enjoy all his new songs, especially that one they collaborated on.
He’s doing in two week and that’s not soon enough for him. His break has not been restful.
She hopes they can have dinner but he doesn’t think that’s a good idea.
When she pushes, he caves. She wants it tonight.
He asks her not to pressure him. She claims she just has this evening off from her “very full social calendar.”
They can “do it” and he can go back to preparing for the tour.
This makes sense to him so he agrees.
When he gets up for the check, she leaps up and pushes her body into him. He tells her they are not eating in private.
Whispering in his ear, she tells him she wants him to cook for her as a going away present.
She wants his sauce. Christine got to taste and she wants it too.
He’s nervous. She talks slow and tells him this is only saying goodbye.

Mishael Morgan (Amanda) returns
Once security letter Nikki into her office, she’s bowled over the the giant bouquet. She assumes they are from Victor but the card says they are from Seth.
As soon as she’s alone, she calls to tell him they are beautiful.
He says it’s the least he could do and informs her that he has some news. He asks her to meet him to hear it and assures her he’s not drinking.
She’ll come with her bodyguard.
Nikki and her guard go to Crimson Lights, which makes Esther very worried.
The Newman orders some raspberry tea and reassures her before going to the patio to meet Seth.
He’s surprised he got there so quick and asks about the guard.
She explains the mastermind behind her ordeal is still on the loose. It blows his mind to think that woman would go after her again.
He tells her that he’s checking into rehab. He needs structured help and it feels right.
When he mentions that Isabelle urged him to reach out to her, she can’t place her.
Seth says she may be avoiding her. He tells her she was friends with Isabelle in the old days and Nikki says that never happened.
He doesn’t know what to say and feels bad about betraying her trust.
She has him rehash why Isabelle urged him to get close to her again and asks what she looks like.
This only convinces her she’s never met her and asks how they met. How did she know who he was and that he knew her?
Seth recounts all that Isabelle told him and she asks if she was wearing a wig. He hadn’t thought about it.
Nervously, he asks if she thinks she’s the woman who gave her alcohol. Nikki does.
That sends him into a panic. He tells her about all of the texts he’s been getting and how they always met in a bar.
Nikki asks for her number. Once she gets it, she wants to find out if it’s from the person who has been stalking her.
She asks him to string Jordan along and tell her what’s happening. He agrees and she tells him he may have just given her the upper hand.
At the dive bar, Jordan searches the internet for the latest on Claire. She soon discovers she’s been released to Victoria and Cole.
This gives her the fidgets. “Claire…they are going to destroy you the same way they destroyed my sister,” she says.
As she’s about to go, Seth shows up and asks what she’s trying to pull with Nikki.
At the ranch, Claire finishes her tour of the ranch with her parents and tells Victor how much the place is like a fantasy.
There are plenty of people around to teach her to ride.
Claire thanks them and Victor says she can decide if she wants to stay once the Jordan woman saga is over.
She’s a Newman now and that will never change.
Claire wants to prove herself worthy of their faith but her father assures her she doesn’t have to.
Just thinking about Jordan makes her sick and she is determined to deal with her as a threat and protect the family.
Victor has already had her release announced in the media so he’s sure Jordan will soon respond.
Newman Media will do a big piece about her reuniting with the family.
This feels strange to Claire. Her mom asks if she’s ready and promises they will all be there to help her through it.
Cole warns there will be a lot of coverage and the press will come after her but they will do their best to shield her.
They can keep control of this through Newman Media. Victoria adds this will publicly cement her in the family.
Claire wonders where Nikki is and asks if she’s okay with her moving in.
Victor assures them she’s on board and just out at work.
He and Cole leave to meet with the new security detail.
Claire guesses her mom still has issues with this arrangement. Victoria only has issues with her dad’s plan.
She’s happy to have her around and in the family.
Claire is still daunted by it all and nervous about her siblings. Her mom assures her they will accept her.
Nikki shows up and thanks her granddaughter to her new home.
They talk about her settling in and how great the ranch is. Claire is sure she will be happy there once Jordan is caught.
Nikki announces they may not have to wait much longer.
Victor returns and says pieces are coming into place. He hands Claire a phone and explains that it is monitored.
Nikki says she may have a way for her to contact her aunt and claims that Jordan has made her first mistake.

“What do you think I’m in the mood for?” Chance asks Summer.
“I’m hoping it’s the same thing I am,” she says.
“This must be the famous Mamie Johnson! It is an honor to finally meet you,” Amanda says to Mamie at Chancellor-Winters.
“So just like that you’re leaving? Are you really ready to give up on us?” Christine asks Danny.
“We will go outside and can call Nikki together,” Seth tells Jordan.
“Go on, make the call. I’m looking forward to the reunion,” she urges.
