Mon April 22, 2024: Today on Young and Restless, Billy and Lily argue about his place in the company, Victoria asks her mom if she’s been drinking, and Chance tells Summer that Victor is making a mistake.
Friday’s recap: Nikki planned to offer herself as bait, Sharon tried to calm Adam down, and Chance Agrees to Help Find Harrison

Billy joins Lily at Society but she insists they not discuss Daniel and heather’s firing.
They chat about Mattie and Charlie getting their lives on track. Billy is sure she’s proud.
He talks about his videochats with his kids.
Lily is sorry about what Chelsea is going through with Connor. He says he’s playing nice with Adam.
It means a lot to him that they can sit there and talk like friends.
She admits she doesn’t trust him professionally. That seems harsh to him.
Lily reminds him of his suggestion that they run the company as partners. The truth is they don’t agree on anything.
If they were partners, they would never get anything done.
She won’t betray her family by pushing them down to give him more power. She’s sure that’s what this is about.
How long before he pushes her down in his relentless drive for power?
He claims he is not playing games and has been open and honest.
Lily has been through a lot and needs to exercise caution.
At the board meeting this afternoon, she will urge them to clarify his powers and remove him from being an officer at the company.
He thinks that’s a bold move and insists he’s never tried to replace her.
She thinks that his role just needs to be defined and he suggests that they are good together.
Lily thinks they should hash all this out at the meeting. Billy asks if she thinks her family will protect her.
He reminds her that Mamie out for herself and revenge and Devon doesn’t like working with anyone.
He’s the smart bet for her and he doesn’t know why she doesn’t see that.
Abby arrives at the Chancellor-Winters office, happy to see that Nate and Devon are working well together.
Nate leaves to make a call and Devon asks him to come back in half an hour. Abby realizes that’s when the board meeting is starting and wonders what he’s up to.
Billy and Lily arrive. Nate joins them and Jill joins by videochat.
Lily and Billy are shocked when Devon suddenly announces he wants Nate re-appointed to the board.
Lily wishes her brother had talked to this with her. Abby knew about it but Nate didn’t.
Devon says that this is what Neil wanted and he thinks Nate earned his spot. Billy thinks springing this on them is shady.
He asks if this is payback for him getting a place on the board. Devon insists this is about what Neil wanted and Nate earned it.
They vote. Devon and Abby vote for Nate. He urges his sister to vote in line with them.
Billy wonders what the point of the voting is if they know the outcome.
After telling Nate he appreciates him, Billy says this is premature and votes against it as does Jill.
Everyone looks at Lily to cast the deciding vote.

In the tack house, Victoria tells her mom that using herself as bait is a terrible idea. It’s too risky for everyone.
Nikki thinks she doesn’t understand but Victoria says they should let Victor and the authorities handle this.
Her mom keeps blaming herself for all this. Victoria is appalled when she admits she doubts Claire’s innocence in this.
Until she gets concrete proof her daughter was involved, Victoria refuses to believe it and asks her to keep her doubts to herself.
Nikki asks for Claire’s number so she can send Jordan a message.
Her daughter reminds her Victor has a plan and it can’t be as dangerous as hers.
Nikki refuses to believe that Victor’s plan will work because Jordan is too mad to be bought off.
When Victoria walks off to answer a call, Nikki sneaks a drink.
Her daughter returns and agrees to give her Claire’s number but insists that she let her and Cole help her.
Nikki will agree to that as long as Nick is kept out of it. He would tattle to his dad.
She begs her daughter to let her do this her way.
Cole arrives. There’s no news. He asks how Nikki is holding up.
Victoria tells him her mom’s plan and he says it’s not happening.
The three of them argue and Nikki says this is the only way to get Claire and Harrison back.
Victoria agrees that her mom is Jordan’s blindspot. Her mom doesn’t care what anyone else’s plans are, this is what she’s doing.
Cole thinks they should leave this to the cops since they are risking triggering Jordan into doing something terrible.
Nikki insists her husband can’t be involved because he will sideline her. She insists she’s in the best position to know what she can handle.
Once she makes contact with Jordan, she will tell Victor and he can do what he wants.
“This is what we’re doing. Get it!” bellows Nikki, demanding the phone number.
Her daughter notices how off she is. She’s shaking.
Victoria asks if she’s been drinking again. Her mom is offended, but hugs her and promises she hasn’t been drinking.
Summer arrives at the ranch. Victor tells her she can cry all she wants. They are all scared and are doing all they can.
Chance has been in touch with his friends on teh force and they are doing all they can.
Victor holds Summer as she sobs.
Chance explains what the authorities have learned from surveillance footage of the truck being taken. Claire wasn’t the driver.
Victor gets a call and walks out.
Summer gets back to lashing out at Kyle and blaming him for letting Claire into his home.
He doesn’t want to believe Claire is part of this. She thinks he’s been conned by her and her sad little eyes.
They argue about why Claire would go along with this. He’s starting to think that Claire is a victim too.
Summer doesn’t care about her and thinks he’s a fool wasting time worrying about the wrong person.
Jack tries to calm them down and assures them the guilty parties will be punished.
Victor returns and agrees with Kyle. Jack needs some convincing and Summer needs a lot.
Victor says they will interrogate the driver and Chance warns him they can’t use rogue evidence in court.
That’s not what the Newman cares about. Right now he’s doing all in his power to find his daughter and great-grandson and orders Chance to stay out of it.
Chance points out he could be jeopardizing things. Jack sides with Victor.
Victor tells him to get on board or get out. He calls his people to bring the truck driver.
Chance walks out and Summer trails after him.
Outside, Summer catches up with Chance and he wishes he could have reminded her grandfather of how often things blow up in his face.
She says that he became who he is by not letting anyone get in his way.
The cops keep losing Jordan and she just wants to bring Harrison home, she doesn’t care how.
She doesn’t know what the right plan is but wants her son home.
Chance assures her it will be okay and runs off.
Back inside the house, the driver is brought in and assured he will be compensated if he help them.
The driver explains that he told the cops his truck was stolen while he was getting snacks.
He says that’s all he knows. When Victor walks in, he gulps.
Jack warns him that Victor will ruin his life if he doesn’t give him all the answers they are seeking.
Victor offers 100,000 dollars and they tell him the woman he was working with is very dangerous.
This is his chance to fix his mistake and save a child’s life.
