Soaps Spoilers has the Canadian Y&R day ahead recap for the Tuesday, October 12, 2021 episode, which airs in the USA Wednesday, October 13. (Recaps live by 5:45 PM EST daily.) In the previous episode, Gaines threatened Victor. In this episode, Adam and Sally arrive, Victoria tells Billy off, and Summer and Kyle discuss how good of a parent she is.
In his room, Billy is shocked to learn that Ashland told Victoria everything that Gaines told him. Lily tries to defend Billy, saying that he was only trying to save her from getting hurt. Victoria doubts if that’s true. If it were, he would be happy right now. She yells at him to let her go and storms off with Ashland at her heels. Lily thinks Billy went too far by taking Gaines there. Billy defends his actions. Lily thinks he was wrong about Ashland. Billy admits it. Lily thinks what they have is probably real. He actually loves her. His big plan to expose Ashland didn’t work. Billy still calls the man a liar. Lily reminds him that it doesn’t matter. Victoria’s still marrying him. He asks what he should do. Lily isn’t sure they should even be there. If they’re not going to cheer the couple on, they shouldn’t stay. Billy refuses to apologize for getting the truth out there. Billy vows not to intervene. He’ll send Gaines on his way. He’ll have to throw more money at him. Billy thinks they should support the wedding. Victoria will need help when Ashland’s health starts to deteriorate. Lily’s surprised at his attitude adjustment. Billy knows his ex has been hurt enough when they were married and he also hopes Lily isn’t questioning his commitment to her. Lily knows he’s passionate. She thinks he’s both exhausting and endearing. He was hoping she’d also throw in “hot and sexy.” They kiss.

Outside, Nick thinks Jack and Harrison are having more fun than anyone combined, up in Harrison’s room with him, playing. Kyle calls Summer a natural at parenting. They joke about how little room Summer has in her closet for the swag she takes home. Phyllis jumps in and elucidates on how important shoes are. The kids run off and Phyllis asks how Nick is. He claims he’s fine but doesn’t appear so. Inside, Sally and Adam arrive and take in the beauty of the over-stuffed room. She’s nervous. She has the dress and tells Adam she’s about to corner Victoria and make her try on the dress. She wishes Adam would help. He thinks there must be another way to go about this. He takes her upstairs.
Tessa runs into Nate and Elena and she tells them Mariah’s not coming to the wedding. Jack returns and Summer and Kyle take off while Noah notes that things are cool between Nick and Victoria. Phyllis says there’s a lot going on and Nick says they’ll try to get through it on their best behavior. “Be me you mean we. Why wouldn’t I be on my best behavior?” In their room, Ashland assumes Billy’s still in love with Victoria. He says Gaines is their problem and he assumes the man wants to publicly humiliate him. Victoria knows they need to have security throw him out. Ash tells her to leave it up to him. He takes off. Tessa is introduced to Leslie. They’ve been chatting about what songs they want to sing online. Nikki takes off with the women to discuss music and Adam appears. Victor’s glad he came. Victori is thrilled when Nick and Noah wander in. Tessa starts to sing, “Love Gets in the Way,” with piano accompaniment by Leslie. Upstairs, Sally sees Victoria leave her room and she sneaks in and changes dresses, putting hers in the wardrobe and taking Victoria’s out. When Victoria walks in, Sally hides with the old dress. Victoria gets a wrap and then notices her wardrobe is open. She finds that odd and closes it then leaves. Sally waits a bit and then relaxes. Downstairs, Adam finds Elena and Nate. They make idle chit-chat. Phyllis can’t believe Adam had the audacity to show up. Jack assumes Victor’s glad. Phyllis can’t believe Victoria’s treating Nick like the gatecrasher. The family drives her crazy. Jack tells her to let it go. Victoria appears and thanks the women for the beautiful serenade. They start a new song. “All That’s Left.” Outside, Phyllis asks Nick if things are alright between him and his sister. He thinks she’s angling to bash his sis but she isn’t. She’s on his side. They have a tiff and he takes off. Jack appears and tells her to let it roll off her back.

Kevin swans into Crimson Lights and tells Mariah her timing is perfect. He needed a break. She talks about how nervous she was about going back to work but everyone’s been “amazing.” He thinks it’s a shame that she didn’t get to go to Italy. She says she could have but Dom got sick. When she admits it’s nothing and he’s fine now, Kevin is confused. Then why didn’t she go to Italy? She felt protective. He gets it. He’s had a kid. “But Dominic isn’t my baby,” she retorts. He knows that they went through a lot together. He knows what it’s like to be locked in a space for a long time. He doesn’t want to pry but if it helps, she can talk to him about it. She claims she’s alright. She gets jumpy hearing footsteps around her and doesn’t like being alone. She can function. She asks how the kids are. He sighs.”You want me to brag about my kids?” She says, “Yes.” Kevin needs no more prodding and whips out some photos. He’s in. They talk about Mariah and Tessa having kids one day and Kevin says never to invite the actual kids because they ruin the parties. They laugh and she takes a call from Tessa. Mariah asks how she’s doing and they discuss the beauty of the palazzo and how she met Leslie Brooks. Mariah interrupts but she says she barely slept last night and says they’ll catch up later. Tessa says, “Sure, of course. I love you.” Mariah says, “Me too.” She disconnects and Noah appears at Tessa’s side. He didn’t realize how much he missed her. He talks about the art world and how when people buy his pieces, they do so to flip it like a condo. He had a client pay him to produce less so his already owned pieces appreciated. He doesn’t seem happy with any of it. They share a few laughs and Noah gazes at her almost adoringly. Back at Crimson Lights, Kevin hints that he could tell Mariah just brushed off her girlfriend. Mariah’s not ready to discuss it, so he tells her about the costumes the kids wore at the party he was at.

Sally finds Adam downstairs. He hopes things work out for her and that his sister likes the dress. Nearby, Kyle and Summer appear and discuss Harrison. Summer’s angry to see Summer is Adam’s date. Summer finds Phyllis and Jack and the women are angry that Sally’s there while Jack tells them to relax. Meanwhile, Sally thinks it’s time she went to her room. Later, Victoria and Adam watch Ashland whisper into VIctor’s ear before the men wander off, talking about Gaines having a score to settle. Victor says not to worry. Later, Elena and Nate snuggle and dance as Leslie starts playing again. Nate kisses her. Meanwhile, upstairs, Lily and Billy are in bed after sex. She’s happy to see where he got off track. Phyllis finds Nick alone outside and he apologizes for snapping at her. Jack watches. Nikki appears and asks if he’s seen Victor. Later, Victoria is in her room. She puts her dress away and Ashland wanders in to tell her that he and her dad briefed the security team who will find Gaines. By this time tomorrow, they’ll be husband wife. They kiss.
