Mon Oct 30, Y&R day ahead recap: Jack fills Billy in on Kyle’s demands, Mamie isn’t happy to hear about what Tucker did to Ashley, and Tucker wants Kyle to prove he’s serious.
Friday’s recap: Ashley confronted Tucker, Kyle agrees to betray his family, and Nate realized Mamie is working with Tucker.

Nate adjust his cufflinks as he meets with Devon and Lily in her penthouse.
He informs them that Mamie is still pressuring him to return to Chancellor-Winters.
He found out something bad that changes the whole ballgame.
After he sits down, he tells them of the text he saw on her phone and how Tucker and Mamie have been meeting.
His cousins assume the company is under attack and using Mamie as his way in to take over their company.
Devon immediately leaves to confront his father.
At the Abbott estate, Ashley tells Mamie it makes their hearts happy to have her there.
They sit down to coffee and Mamie asks how she is.
Ashley is getting used to being gawked at.
They talk about Mamie’s surprise return and leap into business.
Ashley admires how she balances work and family.
When she talks about Tucker, she notes the connection he had with Ashley, and how many issues Jack had with it.
“I think the bigger question your asking is, how could I have been so wrong about that man?” Ashley summarizes.
Mamie is sorry for bringing up a painful subject.
Ashley admits that she wasn’t totally blameless in the breakup. It proved too hard for her to walk away from the family legacy than she imagined and her husband found that upsetting.
Things got “intense.”
Tucker got angrier than she’d ever seen him.
Sobbing, she says he terrified her with his rage.
Mamie had no idea and tells her not to make any excuses about that man.
Ashley tells her it’s complicated. Tucker feels things deeply and lashes out.
Mamie tells her to run. Ashley tried but came back to fight.
Mamie says good for her, adding that family always has to come first as she hugs her.
Billy joins Jack on the patio of Crimson Lights.
They talk about their sister meeting with Tucker and her plan to get some dirt from her.
Billy thinks he should have some faith in their sister but Jack is sure that McCall is unhinged.
They sit and mull over this. Jack has to admit no one can tell his sister what to do… but she doesn’t see clearly when it comes to Tucker.
His brother thinks they should just let Ashley go ahead with her plan.
Jack doesn’t see much choice.
Billy notices there is something else on his mind.
His brother fills him on his attempts to lure Kyle back to Jabot and his refusal to come back as anything other than CEO.
Jack will admit he’s considered it because he wants his son back.
His brother can understand that, although it smarts.
Jack assures him nothing has been decided and the decision will be by merit.
His brother points out that everything has been handed to Kyle and he should work his way up. That makes Jack smile.
He finds it ironic to hear this from him. That’s lost on Billy.
Throwing his napkin down and putting his hands in his pockets, Billy complains that being compared to Kyle is insulting.
He’s felt like he’s on probation since he came back.
He’s worked for his position and taken responsibility for himself, quite unlike Kyle.
He’s feeling like Jack has pitted him against his own son and that has left him doomed to lose.
Billy says this isn’t fair to him and Kyle is not ready for a major position.
He assumes his brother wanted to bring Kyle back to keep an eye on him. He plans to hold onto his job because he deserves it.
Jack sighs and shakes his head as Billy storms out.

In Tucker’s suite, he tells Kyle that he’s not buying his claims that he’s willing to sell his soul to get back at his family.
Kyle claims he’s not trying to kid him on this but McCall suspects it’s all a trap.
He declares this won’t work. Kyle tells him he’s making a big mistake. Audra nods.
The Abbott insists he has no loyalty to his father. He’s totally willing to blow it up.
Audra backs this up but McCall wants a better pitch.
Kyle gives him motive by explaining the various drops in his career later. This isn’t making Tucker weep.
Kyle keeps complaining about Billy and Tucker says that he made an offer to Billy but he choked.
“I want what is rightfully mine and I will do anything,” Kyle insists, dismissing his uncle as weak.
None of this is convincing McCall. He spins alternative possibilities and how much he sounds like Billy.
Repeating that he is nothing like his uncle, Kyle says he’s logical and acts clearly.
“Words are cheap,” says Tucker. He wants to see some action.
The Abbott promises to be “tenacious” in proving himself. He asks him how Ashley’s return affects his plans.
Tucker claims they don’t change anything.
Kyle wants to know if there is a chance she could still influence him. He’s not about to risk losing all he has just for Tucker to turn around and fall in love again.
Tucker dismisses his concerns. Devon shows up so his father sends away his guests.
Devon wonders why they were there and assumes they weren’t getting his relationship advice.
The topic of Ashley comes up.
Devon abruptly asks him what his connection to Mamie is and asks him not to lie. He asks about the text.
Tucker confirms he sent it and is meeting with Mamie to discuss him. He thought she could help fix the gap between them.
Devon can’t trust him, no matter how much he wants to. He doesn’t even know Mamie and he’s lied about being in contact with her.
For years, he’s tried giving him the benefit of the doubt and he keeps letting him down. He may love him, but he’s also a liar and a user.
As he leaves, he asks him to leave Mamie out of whatever is going on because he’s sure she’s sincere.
On his way down the stairs, he runs into Mamie by the door. He knows she’s there to see his father and tells her not to trust him at all.
Anything Tucker says will be a lie. He only cares about himself.
She’s beginning to sense that. He’s happy to hear that and wishes it hadn’t taken him so long.
Kyle and Audra have tea in teh dining room and she admires how he handled Tucker.
He still doesn’t know what Tucker will test him on, but he’s sure it will require betraying his family.
She tells him to drop betrayal and reminds him of how big the stakes are.
After he confirms he’s still in, she asks what would happen if his father gave him the job he wanted.
Kyle would take it. That would then maker her his adversary and he’d have to destroy her.
They chuckle about that and she hopes his father keeps letting him down. Kissing him, she leads him upstairs.
When Mamie gets to Tucker’s suite, she declares that her plans have changed and she no longer needs his help with Chancellor-Winters.
A revealing discussion changed her mind. She learned things about him she can’t tolerate.
She also just spoke with Devon.
“Then you must know I’m a liar…maybe the devil himself,” he says. She’s not scared of him but she’s sure his motives are not noble, unlike hers.
When she claims she only trusted him because he’s Katherine’s son, he reminds her she trusted him because he has a ruthless reputation and she’s after Jill.
“How do you expect to do that without me?” he asks, remdinging her that he’s the rightful heir.
He doesn’t want to run it. He wants Devon too. But that means they need to remove Jill.
Mamie doesn’t think he’s the only person who can make that happen.
“You are bad news,” she says, regretting she trusted him in the first place. She will find someone else to work with.
When Devon gets back to the penthouse, he tells Lily what his father told him when he confronted him.
She thinks it could be true that he just wants to get close but Devon is sure he is plotting something.
