In the previous episode, Adam tried to manipulate Sally, and Sally tattled on Adam to Victoria, while Billy revealed Chelsea kissed him to Lily.

Chloe and Sally meet with Nick to discuss business and introduce topical talk shows.
They give him their ideas, calling it a bold direction.
He looks over the proposal and sends Chloe away. He says he loved their proposals but wants to discuss her and Adam.
They discuss what happened and how he protected his sister.
He thinks Sally has proven herself. Nick struggles with killing Locke but Sally thinks if others knew, they’d probably give him the key to the city.
He’s not so sure. She calls his family intimidating and that she doesn’t get Adam’s attitude.
Nick’s sure she only saw Adam’s good side when they were together and what’s more, he’s sorry but he thinks she’s better off without him.
She tells him how she and Adam connected over dark impulses and she hasn’t acted on them because people give her a fair chance.
She says, “The way you have.” He’d like to have a bond with Adam but his turnarounds don’t last.
Chelsea runs into Adam at the park.
They smile at one another and try to act like they’ve got things together.
Neither can keep it up so they both agree to come clean with what’s really going on with them.
She tells him she finished her last podcast with Billy and he offered to help her find a new one since he quit.
She’s not into that idea but her career is in limbo. He gets it. He whines about how exhausting it is that he too had his jobs yanked from him.
She can see he’s enraged. Can she talk him off the ledge? He explains that Locke didn’t die in the crash and that Nick accidentally killed him and Victor covered it up.
Chelsea realizes why Victoria was so tense recently. She sees parallels between what happened in Vegas. It still bothers Adam.
Chelsea thinks Victor covered it up to protect him. Adam would do it for Connor and Chelsea.
She appreciates it but Adam says no matter what Victor does, it comes with a price. She knows. Adam’s ready to force his hand and has the power and evidence to do it. She knows he wants justice and will go to dark places to get it.
He just wants to expose the truth.
Chelsea knows reigniting the battle between him and his dad will be a mistake for him and Connor. She tells him to stop keeping score and holding grudges. “Beat Victor by letting go.”
He tells her it’s not the first time anyone has said this to him and then lets her know about Jack’s job offer. She encourages him to take it but he turned it down. She thinks they’re two peas in a pod. They laugh and share a moment. He’s glad they can support each other, emotionally. They embrace and Sally comes upon them.

Traci’s shocked to find Jack humming and smiling to himself at home. She questions him about this and he deflects. She asks if it’s his grandson that has him so chipper or something else. He claims he’s just at peace. Diane’s name is brought up and he admits Kyle’s healing and he’s glad.
Traci asks if he’s in the process of forgiving Diane. Allie and Noah interrupt with good news. Noah has a new club. Later, Jack and Traci head to Society and the ‘kids’ say they’ll meet them there.
Diane wanders into Society in white, to see Nikki, who greets her kindly. Diane’s shocked. Nikki heard from Summer that Diane’s doing a wonderful job at work.
This pleases Diane but she worries she is about to get a pie in the face or worse. Nikki finds her fear funny. “I am so glad I ordered the Beat Soup.” Diane says, “Ha Ha.”
She tries to make jabs about Nikki’s job and how well Marchetti is doing.
Diane credits Summer, who has kept an open mind. Nikki’s confident she’ll self-sabotage without help from her.
Diane finds this version of her almost cuddly and is curious that Phyllis sold her hotel to work with her. “Something is clearly afoot.” Nikki calls her a deluded narcissist and says Phyllis just wants to work with her daughter, just like her with Victoria.
Diane laughs at her. She can see the big red flag. Nikki claims they’re bored with her drama.
“My drama? You and Phyllis are the queens of drama.” Nikki shrugs Jenkins off and says nobody’s thinking of her at all.
Nikki eats her salad and tells Diane to get lost in so many words. Jack and Traci appear and can see there’s an issue, but he asks if there is one. “Really Jack?”
Nikki says, furrowing her brow as Traci looks at Jack like he has two heads, and Diane laughs. The women tell him everything is fine.
Outside, Allie and Noah watch the exchange and promise that no matter how nasty it is inside, they’ll remain happy. They meet Nikki on the way out. He introduces Allie to Nikki and they hope to spend time together soon.
She goes and Jack’s sorry he jumped to the conclusion that Nikki was harassing her.
Allie tells Diane they’re celebrating Noah’s new club. Jack invites her to sit with them and she declines. She goes and Traci glares at Jack. Later, Jack and Traci dine and she gives him hell for spending so much time with Diane.
Talia lets Phyllis into her suite. She didn’t realize that Phyllis owned the joint. Phyllis calls it a labor of love but she just sold it.
Talia asks why. Phyllis works at Marchetti. Talia asks if there’s an agenda since Diane works there.
Phyllis says yes, which is why they need to talk. She says Nikki’s in on her plan but they’re being quiet about it.
Keeping it on the down low. She asks Talia to keep her piece on Ashland Locke. Instead, she’s going to let Diane sabotage her job. Phyllis thinks she’s in over her head and will screw up.
Talia wants to talk about what Diane did to cause so much hatred. Phyllis fills her in. She talks about it being a good story, the downfall of Diane Jenkins.
Back at the Abbott’s, Allie tells Noah she’s glad to be with him while he’s getting his new club.
She calls him incredible and he says the same about her. They kiss and she tries to drag him to her room. He hangs back. “You sure?” She is. They kiss and head upstairs.
