In this episode of CBS’ The Young and the Restless, Nikki, Nick and Victor ponder their next move, Billy comforts Victoria, and Adam gives Ashland an ultimatum. In yesterday’s recap, Victoria confronted Ashland and he walked out on her.

Nick arrives at Adam’s office to talk with Nikki and Victor about what happened during the intervention. Victoria hasn’t been answering their calls or texts. She spent the night alone in a hotel.
Nikki thinks she needs time to wrap her brain about this. Victor’s worried about what Locke is up to now. “After that dramatic exit,” Nikki says.
Nick thinks they need to prepare that this may not change his sister’s thoughts about Ashland. Nikki gets emotional. They need to protect her. What’s the next step?
Victor just wants to hug her and make the pain go away but he thinks Nikki’s right. She needs space. He has his people keeping an eye on her. “They know where she is at all times.” Nick wonder how to sever Ashland’s ties with the company.
At Crimson Lights, Victoria drinks coffee and cries as she thinks about Ashland telling her he loved her before walking out on her. Billy shows up.
He asks to sit after noticing she’s upset. He knows this isn’t about the kids and questions her. “Did Ashland take a turn for the worst?” She asks why he cares, after all he did to make things difficult for her and Ashland. She brings up the expose.
Billy reminds her that the article was gospel truth. He hoped that he was wrong about the man. Victoria congratulates him. He was right all along.
Billy’s shocked as she reveals that Ashland faked his illness and chemotherapy. Billy is stumped. “Oh. My. God. I don’t know what to say.”
She begins to sob as she talks about being angry at him for taking something away from her when he was right all along. She’s angry at him and herself for believing him. Billy tears up in anger.
She tells him that Ashland wanted the merger since day one and exploited her love and ambition. He’s so sorry she’s going through this. Billy says she doesn’t deserve it.
She just can’t get it out of her head that he told her he loved her. She saw him for the monster that he is. She realized her family was right. He asks if he’s said anything that has come across as dangerous or threatening.
She doesn’t think so. Billy calls him a heartless bastard. She asks if he wants to tell her that he told her so but he doesn’t. She calls him a good man. “Despite all your flaws.” They laugh.
Adam and Sally spot Ashland at Society. Sally comments that the temperature feels like it’s dropped. He sees a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Sally goes to get a table while he approaches Ashland. Ash is annoyed that he couldn’t have just avoided him. Adam suggests he leave Genoa City out of shame and embarrassment, especially now that Victoria accepted the truth.
Ashland tells him that he doesn’t want to taunt him today. Sally eavesdrops as Adam asks to make a deal. If he makes a clean break, Newman Media won’t post article after article about how he lied about cancer. “And you think I don’t know how to handle bad press?”

Adam tells him to think about Harrison and Ashland doesn’t like that. Adam knows Harrison’s the most important person to him.
Ashland doesn’t respond to threats but Adam says it’s just a carefully considerate offer. “Make no mistake. We have proof.” Ashland snaps that this isn’t over and he’s not giving up on Victoria.
He tells Adam he should never bring up his son to him again. Adam goes back to Sally, who fills him in on the fake illness to rush her into marriage and merge companies. “Must have taken a ton of planning, all the lies he had to juggle. The people he had to convince. All the ways it could go wrong.”
They talk about the fallout. Sally looks uncomfortable and surprised. Adam thinks the man is plotting his next move. She says they’ll make themselves invaluable and let the employees come to them. Show the family who belong in the drivers’ seat. “What do you think?” He smiles. “You are exactly what I’ve always needed,” he says with a kiss.
Chelsea says goodbye to a woman when Rey finds her at Grand Phoenix. She tells him her smile is fake after being in a meeting. He laughs.
They joke about influencers on social media faking that every day is paradise. They prefer being authentic.
She brings up Connor pushing her away. Rey realizes he’s “doing that pre-teen thing.” She doesn’t want to dump on him but he’s just dying to listen.
She fills him in on Connor wanting better sports than they have at the little school he’s at. She’s torn about sending him to boarding school. Rey suggests against it. Chelsea wants to do a better job than Anita. Rey thinks she did fine.
He knows her. And Connor knows that he can be himself and throw anything at her and it’ll be fine. He knows he can come to her with anything. Rey calls him lucky. Chelsea is close to tears. She’s grateful for the kind words and just wants to be a good mama.
He enjoys talking to her and calls her a woman with a big heart, fun and unpredictable. “In a nice way.” She reveals she trusts him and he’s easy to be with. They grin at one another.
Back at Crimson Lights, Billy admits it’s taking him a while to deal with his more stubborn demons. She’s happy to hear he’s trying. She knows that when it matters…”You can count on me,” he finishes. She can trust him with anything.
She asks him to keep this between the two of them. He agrees and she goes, running into Ashland. She tries to ignore him but he comes to her and tells her he’s been looking for her everywhere.

Ashland takes Victoria in an embrace. “This means the world to me. You have no idea,” he says as Billy and Nick watch, in shock. “What the hell?”
Ashley says, “Long lost granddaughter appears out of nowhere when Jack is reeling from the death of his estranged son?” She’s surprised Phyllis is encouraging him to peruse the relationship. What was she thinking?
Jack’s back in L.A. with Allie.
Michael returns to Genoa City. Lauren sees him and gasps. “Hello gorgeous,” he says.
