In this episode of CBS’ The Young and the Restless, Kyle lectures his mom for flirting, Phyllis signs away the Phoenix, and Kevin confronts Adam about stealing his laptop. In the previous episode, Adam hired someone to steal Kevin’s laptop, and Chelsea was insulted when Chloe accused her of wanting Billy.

Diane drops by Jack’s office at Jabot to get his take on some key-art. He tells her that she’s been coming to him a lot.
If she needs to run everything by him before going to Mariah, that’s a mistake. He doesn’t want her second-guessing herself.
She claims she just values his opinion. Jack advises her to own her own positions. As they look over her work, Kyle watches them from the window and then barges in.
He claims there is a pressing matter he needs his mother to review and leads her out.
In the hall, Kyle asks her what she was doing with his dad. She claims it’s easier for her to take constructive advice from his father.
Kyle doesn’t buy it. He can see she was flirting with him, and it needs to end. She insists that’s not the case at all. He really hopes that’s true.
Summer sits with her mother in Society and asks her why she was talking to an investigative reporter from LA. She’s not sure why the reporter needed to talk to her and Nikki about Locke.
She put the pieces together and guessed it was really about Diane. She assumes her mom is trying to launch a hatchet job on Jenkins, but Phyllis continues to protest her innocence.
Phyllis claims she was just looking out for her. She wanted to make sure the investigation didn’t cast any negative light on her or was going to affect Harrison.
Summer really hopes this is true.
Billy stops by and tells them he’s happy for them and their new jobs. He makes sure that Phyllis has all the paperwork to finalize the sale of the hotel and then wanders off.
Summer asks her mom if she’s really sure about saying goodbye to the Phoenix. She urges her to take some time to figure out if this is what she really wants.
Instead of that, Phyllis signs off on the paperwork and walks it over to Billy. That was sooner than he expected. She doesn’t see the point in prolonging this.
He wonders if there is more than she’s telling him. Phyllis claims this is her chance to prove there is nothing she can’t do.
Sally bumps into Chelsea in the park. She saw her talking intensely to Adam earlier but didn’t want to intrude. She hopes everything is okay.
Chelsea says they are fine, not that it’s any of her business. She goes on about the deep bond that she shares with Adam.
Sally points out that’s all history and there is no going back. Chelsea shoots back that she’s also history. She admires the way she handled the breakup and moved on.
Sally gives a repulsed laugh. She says that what they had was incredibly real and strong. He only broke up with her so her dreams could come true.
It was an act of extraordinary love.
It sounds like something else to Chelsea. Sally accuses her of projecting. After getting a text, Chelsea takes off.

In Adam’s suite, he prompts his goon Lucas to hack into Kevin’s laptop. Before they can, Kevin starts banging on the door.
When Adam lets him in, he claims he’s in a meeting. Kevin doesn’t buy it and accuses them of swiping his computer. The Newman says that unfortunate.
Kevin assures him there is nothing on his machine worth seeing and demands they hand his laptop back. Adam continues playing innocent and points out he has no proof. The smug look on his face is proof enough for Kevin.
He admits that he’s alone and there is no warrant, so Adam shows him the door.
Once Kevin is gone, Adam and Lucas get back to work. The price goes up when he learns that the report they are digging for involves Victor.
Jack sends Adam a text asking to meet. Lucas finds the file and Adam quickly reads it. “Well, well, well,” he says as he goes through it and realizes that there has been a cover-up.
Dude just wants to take his money and run. Once Lucas is gone, Adam guesses the crash was staged and Chance decided to look the other way.
Kevin goes down to the lobby and calls Chloe. He explains Adam called his bluff. She wonders if he didn’t steal it. Kevin thinks that’s wishful thinking and he’s screwed.
Chelsea joins Billy in the podcast studio. After their last conversation, this is the last place she thought they’d meet. She wonders if he’s decided to follow his passion and keep working with her.
Billy hasn’t changed his mind. She could make a speech about what he needs to do to be happy but won’t. He wants them to do one last podcast as he passes the torch onto her.
He knows she’s got this and can make it better. Billy believes in her and her ability to make things sparkle. He’s grateful to her for coming into the picture.
They talk about ideas for the show and how good they are together. He tells her they have a unique connection. She immediately kisses him.
When Sally gets to her office, Chloe is already there. Adam immediately becomes the topic of conversation. Chloe can’t do this.
Sally continues venting about Chelsea. Her friend tells her that everyone is hurting, and she needs to chill out. Chloe tells her what her ex did to Kevin.
Sally is sorry Kevin got dragged into this. She won’t ask what was on the computer. But if Adam finds what he’s looking for, what will he do with it?
Adam meets with Jack in his office at Jabot. It means a lot to him that he asked him to work there with him, but he has to decline. He has another project he needs to see to its end.
Jack hopes he’s not out for revenge on his father. Adam assures him he’s good. Hid friend encourages him to break the cycle and try something positive.
Adam thanks him again for his friendship and support. Jack is leaving the job open in case he changes his mind. Kyle arrives as Adam exits.
Kyle is shocked when he learns his father offered him his old job. He’s relieved that Adam turned the job down. They have enough personality problems in the building already.
Jack wants to discuss what happened with Diane earlier and tells him to stop babysitting. Kyle worries that his mother is becoming too attached to him.
Jack assures him he has no interest in a romantic relationship with his ex. He’s being polite and friendly but always on guard. He won’t let her damage his life again.
Kyle goes and sits in the hallway to brood. His wife shows up and he tells her about confronting his parents for flirting. He got some scalding for that.
He’s realized they are too stressed out about their mom’s and they can’t spend their days keeping an eye on them. She knows but doesn’t trust her mom.
He knows the feeling… but they haven’t done anything wrong. They need to let go of the tension. She agrees they need to step back.
Phyllis hangs out in the Phoenix foyer, looking around sadly before calling Talia the reporter and asking to meet. She has some ideas about Diane.
Adam returns to his suite and calls Chance, telling him they need to meet immediately.
